To deny that there's issues with the launch, right?

Like when they blamed classic issues on DDoS!
Oh wait, no, they made more realms and admitted they misjudged.

Every launch though no matter what happens, people always want to just find a reason to hate on Blizzard more.
    To add to your point.
Would be borderline stupid to lie about a DDoS attack…you don't lie about this kind of things as a publicly traded company. Hide it/downplayed it, sure…but lying is stupid and pointless.

Also, what is better PR? We are experiencing a DDoS attack or because of influx of players, the server's couldn't keep up demands.

    Exactly this.

Plus DDoS attacks can be viewed, there are literally web sites out there that shows DDoS when it happens. To lie about it anyone can go and prove that it isn't.

How nuBlizz? It's been happening on most of their major launches since 2014.

Honestly wouldn't put it past the Team Fortress 2 playerbase to DDoS Blizzard, they are certainly toxic enough.

Just an excuse for lack of preparation. Even if it is happening, they us it as an excuse to not be prepared.

Has any time frame of when login queues are sorted being mentioned by BLZ yet?

Edit: 90 ppl ahead (was 15 mins) login for 5mins to check the new menue torial about the bpass and stuff.
Then head into settings and spot the HDR is disabled which require a restart. Click that and no prioritized queue and now 800 people ahead

Did people actually use it for anything other than trash-talking or spamming? Cause I hardly ever saw anyone even use it, and the few times I saw it used were just people spamming. Neither of which contribute to a good experience. I'd wager the lack of use is a key reason for removing it.

You know ddos attacks are trackable right?

Like anyone with 2 brain cells and Google can tell you that you are lying.

Why lie about such an easy thing to verify? Seems weird.

BTW has anybody experiencing lower performance compared to the BETA version and the OG version?
I always play around 144fps but feels like I have stutters for a fraction of a second.

Looks like an average cheesy US insurance/car/whatever commercial I have to put up with when watching NFL.
    Hope, future, together blabla.

Utter garbage for morons but a good chuckle.

Lmao its what happens when your game creators become so far up their own ass they gotta make pretentious ads. The way I imagine this trailer being made, they had everything all the way to footage of Ukrainians fighting off Russian soldiers, but someone in the office was like yo, mabye its a bit much we are only launching a video game. So they settled for this. (Its a joke, have to preface since people are dumb.)

And then I log into the game and do some quickplay before work to have fun. Both games I get have different people afk in spawn and randomly shoot and move to not get kicked out of the game because they wanna grind the battlepass. TOGHETER ALRIGHT.

What are you talking about? I know they are trackable. I'm saying blizz use it as an excuse, they may be getting ddos'd but that doesn't excuse their actual game prep.

Really not that hard to understand.

And how do you counter a DDOS? More servers? For a few days no one is going to waste that money and will not work.
Block DDOSers? How, how do you differentiate between someone logging in to play and a DDOSer

Also it comes to the third part, most DDOS don't go directly at the victim, but the ISP or someone else indirect that you literally can't counter it while keeping an online gaming server.

There are all kinds of protections for DDOS, Blizz isn't in a unique position of being the only webservice getting constantly attacked. But they are the only one who constantly have issues with services because of it. It's an entirely them problem.

OK armchair security and network expert. Please provide intricate details on how to prevent ddos from ever happening again. Maybe you can also prevent any hacks or ransom ware from ever infecting a companies server?
Because if it's all so easy according to you, any security it employees are useless right?

Despite what people what to think on forums, Blizzard is still one of the big names when it comes to video games.

Are you really surprised that Blizzard would get targeted repeatedly by trolls? Along with the fact that each Blizzard game pulls a huge amount of players day one, so it's not really hard to break the server if you're trying to.

Not something other companies need to deal with usually because their servers aren't also at capacity already.

Hell he's wrong when he said no others have issues with services because of it. Endwalker release was a complete shit show partly because of DDoS attacks too. Anything that's popular and online basically gets it.
