Not a fan of the hypocrisy of Preach coming back to WoW after announcing he was done; but I admittedly thought this was a marketing piece on Blizzard's part. Learning he paid for everything himself does offer a level of sincerity to this piece. It's clear that there are still benefits for Blizzard allowing him this level of access ("We've changed!") but more than anything I'm just glad this happened.

I don't recall him saying he's completely done with Blizzard and Blizzard games. I always took him as saying that the game is in a terrible place and not worth playing/covering. And Blizzard needs to do better for their employees in order for him to feel comfortable even working with blizzard.

In fairness, saying that you're 'done' may or may not imply a permanence. From how BfA and SL turned out, there was zero reason to see a future that Blizzard would be fundamentally changing the game the way that they are for DF. I can understand coming back to a game you love in order to take a fresh breath of an old IP you loved getting a fresh coat of paint with new wheels. I can't entirely blame him.

On one hand it's not hypocritical because he said "we are done UNTIL"
On the other hand since the guy screwed over his friend of 25 years for twitch mods I stopped caring about anything outside of his drama Friday videos

    Interesting video

    Not everything is a conspiracy.

I get what you're saying but Preach's decision to stop WoW content came at the height of the vitriol against Blizzard for the lawsuit. It felt performative and disingenuous at the time.

That is Preach in a nutshell. Performative and disingenuous.

It's pretty clear that they changed a lot. Especially after covid and the allegations. It would make zero sense to assume they haven't.

Preach was always pathetic, but this takes the cake.

Guess he finally realized no one gives a fuck about FF14 and it doesnt pay the bills, so now he's begging blizzard and crawling back to wow.

Imagine PAYING to visit and interview blizzard employees.

Maybe you shouldnt have burned all your bridges in a seething rage over being benched for mythic raids because you're a trash old man that cant keep up and they couldnt carry his dead weight anymore, but pretends he's some supah leet god skill player, hmmm?

It was funny watching him bootlick for shit in FF14 that he derided in WoW. All that whining about RP and "cesspool" guilds only to then become a cringe RP streamer in a cesspool guild, constantly shilling every barebones patch note.

This is a very angry post and you made your account to make this post, as it's the only post on your account. You... really, really dislike Preach. Damn.

Brilliant marketing move on Blizzard's behalf to have a huge advertising campaign by the guy very publicly critical of it and Blizzard for the last year+

And they didn't even have to pay for it.

No one really wants to be associated with a company that's under investigation due to sexual harassment. Why are people not getting that?
