Please note that these adjustments are being made to abilities as they have been designed/tuned in the Embers of Neltharion patch, and some may not apply to how spells are tuned in the live game (10.0.7). Some of the adjustments below are to the PTR tuning of tier items coming with the Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible raid.

Demon Hunter

Havoc
  • Demon’s Bite damage increased by 8%.
  • Demon Blades damage increased by 8%.
  • Felblade damage increased by 8%.
  • Chaos Strike/Annihilation Damage increased by 8%.
  • Serrated Glaive (Talent) debuff duration increased to 15 seconds, and now retains up to 30% additional duration when refreshed (was 10 seconds).
  • Fixed an issue that prevented Chaos Theory’s (Talent) bonus to crit chance from affecting off-hand hits of Chaos Strike/Annihilation.

Druid

Feral
  • All ability damage increased by 5%.

Restoration
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 2-Set bonus now increases Lifebloom and Rejuvenation healing by 10% (was 12%).

Evoker

Preservation
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 4-Set bonus will now grant Essence Rush after 4 Empower spell casts (was 3).

Hunter

Survival
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 4-Set bonus now reduces the cooldown of Wildfire Bomb by 1 seconds per 30 Focus spent (was 25 Focus) and Kill Command increases the damage of your next Wildfire Bomb by 40% (was 75%)

Mage

Fire
  • Ignite damage reduced by 6%.
  • Developers’ notes: The most recent buffs to Fire were slightly more than intended. We are going to reduce the damage of Ignite to keep a relatively similar gain in ST while reducing the effectiveness of the buffs in AoE.

Monk

Windwalker
  • Tiger Palm damage increased by 15%.
  • Rising Sun Kick damage increased by 15%.
  • Blackout Kick damage increased by 8%.

Paladin

Holy
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 2-Set bonus now increases the critical healing of Holy Shock by 60% (was 15%).
  • Light’s Hammer healing increased by 60%.
  • Holy Prism healing increased by 150%.
  • Holy Prism damage increased by 100%.

Protection
  • Aegis of Light (specialization passive) stamina bonus reduced to 30% (was 35%) and armor bonus reduced to 10% (was 15%).
  • Righteous Protector’s cooldown reduction is now 2 seconds (was 3 seconds).
  • Sentinel’s health increase per stack is now 1% (was 2%).

Rogue

  • Fixed an issue that prevented Nightstalker’s damage bonus from applying in its intended circumstances.

Assassination
  • All ability damage increased by 5%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.
  • Mutilate damage increased by 5%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.
  • Envenom damage increased by 5%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.
  • Shiv damage increased by 20%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.
  • Kingsbane damage increased by 12%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.

Outlaw
  • Dispatch damage increased by 5%
  • Between the Eyes damage increased by 20%
  • Summarily Dispatched (Talent) now increases Dispatch damage by 6% per stack, to a maximum of 30% (was 5% per stack, max 25%).
  • Developers’ notes: While the buff will provide the correctly updated bonus, the tooltip for the base talent will be changed in a future update.

Subtlety
  • Shadowstrike damage increased by 10%.
  • Eviscerate damage increased by 6%.

Shaman

Elemental
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 2-Set bonus now grants 1 stack of Stormkeeper (was 2 stacks).
  • Developers’ notes: The tooltip for the 2-set bonus will be updated to reflect this change in a future update.
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 4-Set bonus now only grants 50% increased Maelstrom, down from 75%.

Restoration
  • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible: 2-Set bonus Tidewaters healing increased by 30%.

Warlock

Demonology
  • Developers’ notes: Demonology received some powerful single-target additions to their talent tree in 10.0.7. We’re making these adjustments after observing that their throughput is a bit higher than what was originally intended and that these talents have overshadowed other talent choices. We’ll continue to monitor Demonology, along with Affliction and Destruction, and appreciate the community’s continued feedback.
  • Reign of Tyranny now increases the damage of Demonic Tyrant by 40% (was 50%).
  • Immutable Hatred now increases the damage of Legion Strike by 100% (was 120%). Does not affect PvP combat.

Warrior

Arms
  • All ability damage increased by 4%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.
  • Auto-attack damage increased by 12%. These changes do not affect PvP Combat.

Fury
  • All ability damage increased by 4%.
  • Auto-attack damage increased by 4%.

Poor Elemental shamans. For once they had something to look forward to and now its just a set that restricts build diversity. Good job.

its a good thing that theres nothing there for bm, right?

also ANOTHER flat buff for feral?????

I felt that the KC buff BM had had truly made us feel more competitive and not OP at all. They then took it back; we had the KC buff for 1 week total. (the 10% extra damage it dealt)

They are doing that because feral's main cd (Berserk) is getting a major rework which, even according to Blizzard, leaves them with less damage than before (including recent changes on PTR).

In effect, they are moving more damage to baseline and less within berserk windows. You have to be careful with that because you can leave them in a state like BM where your CDs are garbage for burst. I suspect this change to Berserk is due to feral playing exceptionally well in PvP. Unfortunately, as with most PvP related changes, this is not a good thing for ferals in PvE.

These flat buffs are just annoying and don't really help the class. They need to look at the core issue then branch off of it.

I have no desire to re-sub at all after seeing consistent nerfes to warlock. Demo warlock is already trash F tier and they are reducing damage even further. They have no clue what's going on. At the same time, DH gets another buff while being S tier since the expansion launch. Again devs are completely clueless.

Finally some nerfs to prot pals. They overperform in PvE content way too much compared to other tanks.

I'm not saying they balance perfectly (definitely they don't) but do keep in mind that these adjustments are being made with 10.1 in mind, not the current 10.7 balance. Things will change in terms of relative rankings simply by virtue of higher ilvl = higher stats and the way those scale. They could have done absolutely zero balance changes and the rankings would have changed simply because of that.

By many accounts Demo was popping off quite hard if you stacked the right things. I don't know if that warrants these specific nerfs (or any at all) but Demo was definitely not going to be "trash F tier" in 10.1.

Calm down everyone, Blizzard has no idea what they are doing and never have. Blizzard doesn't test these changes they just do them and then look at warcraftlogs

This is just a roller coaster. WE ALL KNOW, that in 3 weeks...90% of these classes will get nerfed and these buffs will no longer exist.

buffs for assa rogue are OK but pointless - whole skill overgrown need prune. Active abilities with marginal gain are idiotic idea.

Yeah demo popping off with both the trinket AND PI. Too bad if you aren't lucky enough to get pi and/or the trinket, you just have to deal with being trash.

Remove PI. Stop making overpowered trinkets. And stop basing balancing on having these things!

For anyone playing outlaw rogue or arms warrior, how would you expect to do in the new raid with these adjustments?

Just curious, I'm trying to decide between rogue and warrior for 10.1.

Really? Over warriors? Or are we just looking at end of season 1 like it means something. How about buffing the underperforming ones instead.

What does Blizzard have against demo locks? Seriously I can't imagine a justification for nerfing them yet again, they're not exceptional at anything aside from maybe haste buff burst and even then there are classes that can do better.

Demo is far and away top in 10.1 raid sims lol. And destro is insane now.

*always take sims with a grain of salt but that's probably what they are seeing internally

This actually is a huge problem sadly

Would be easier if Blizzard just removed Shamans from the game at this point.

Sure, nerf fire mages before their buffs even make it to live so they stay at the bottom.

Where tf is Frost Mage buffs? Every other class can just click a button and get 200k-400k aoe dmg, meanwhile I pop Frost orb, Blizzard and spamm ice lance, and I do like barely 100k aoe dmg, and people roast me for it. I AM SPAMMING buttons and nothing happens! Its not fair. BUFF AOE FROST MAGE
