Wrath Classic WoW Token Now Available

Well, that's the end of Wrath Classic's legitimacy. Now just another p2w shitfest. What an embarrassment of a company.

Same reasoning as originally: a lot of people WANT to buy gold and are already doing it, only via shady websites run by borderline or actual criminals. This at least makes it safer and better regulated.

Well its clear you dont play Wrath Classic on any of the big servers. There is simply no viable way to get gear besides GoldDKP runs. If you are gearing an alt you were already paying for it.

I play on Faerlina. I have 4 characters at or nearly at 4900 gs without it. I joined a GDKP OS10 awhile back without knowing it was a GDKP and couldn't afford anything anyway. Join a guild that doesn't suck imo.

I tend to give them the benefit of the doubt so maybe this was a mistake. This seems like a pretty huge move to just add this out of the blue after a random Tuesday maintenance. If it isn't a mistake then they might as well just start adding more retail QoL things and go ahead and add RDF as well.

Serious question: Do you actually play Wrath Classic?

Barely anything will change in practice as almost everyone already buys gold anyways and it really hasn't hurt the game in any serious way IMO. Lots of people (incl. me) still have fun raiding normally or with pugs (SR or GDKP ones).

I enjoy Wrath Classic a lot more this time around then I did when it originally came out in 2008.

So Blizzard finally decided to deal with the bots by opening its own gold shop. Its only fair they make some profit from all the gold sales as well.

I expect them to add RDF with the ICC phase as this is when they originally added it. But honestly I wish they did add it sooner or right at the start. The "manual" Group Finder tool hasn't really added any value to me and it just feels like a huge waste of time in comparison.

Bro has been playing with the same 5 people, disconnected from the rest of the game, hides chat, and only reads mmo-champion if you think that classic WoW players have been playing honest. Classic is only alive still because people can buy ten/hundred thousands of gold without repercussions. If people had to actually farm and couldn't bring in 100k-200k gold that was purchased off a gold selling site before they go into a GDKP run they'd all be back on private servers.

Sad to see when a player is disillusioned to his/her surroundings. Players were already buying gold from other sites. Kinda sad you already didn't see this.

Bro thinks you can't form/join a guild and run raids with loot council like we did back in the day.

i mean anyone who says this is an embarassment etc is either a gold seller or someone who doesnt play and sees the immense amount of GDKP runs

you do realize blizz isnt creating gold out of thin air with the token sales, right? the person that sells a sellable token gains 10k gold, but the person that buys the redeemable token loses 10k gold. it balances out, no gold created, no inflation created.

the inflation comes from whales/AH goblins that have accrued vast amounts of gold over time and is now more willing to spend gold. the only time gold is created out of thin air is when a person turns in quests or loots mobs/objects (gold coins or items with vendor value)
