Patch 10.2 - Guardians of the Dream Reveal
Blizzard is breaking down what is coming with World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's next patch and Season 3.


  • New Zone - The Emerald Dream
    • Fyrakk and the Druids of the Flame enter a portion of the dream to try and overtake Amirdrassil.
    • The specific location is the Eye of Ysera, the figurative center of the Emerald Dream.
  • New Raid - Amirdrassil, The Dream's Hope
    • 9 bosses
    • One wing is uncorrupted and is representative of the Emerald Dream.
    • Fyrakk and fire overtake the other wing.
    • One encounter will include dragonriding.
    • Fyrakk is the final boss.
  • Legendary Weapon - Fearwrath the Dreamrender
    • Two-handed Strength axe wielded by Fyrakk.
  • New World Events
    • Super Bloom - Protect an ancient.
    • Emerald Frenzy - Farming mobs for currency and rewards.
    • Emerald Bounty - Plant seeds and nurture them into a reward.
  • New Renown - Dream Wardens
  • Dragonriding
    • Dragonriding unlocked from day one.
    • New dragonriding mount - Fae Dragon
    • New dragonriding customization - Fyrakk Skin
    • New glyph to instantly regain vigor.
  • Season 3 Mythic + Dungeons
    • Dawn of the Infinite: Galakrond's Fall
    • Dawn of the Infinite: Murazond's Rise
    • Waycrest Manor
    • Darkheart Thicket
    • Black Rook Hold
    • The Everbloom
    • Throne of the Tides
    • Atal'Dazar

    No, it is *very* likely they're doing the same thing they did with season 2 release.

    In that case, 10.2 would be released on 24th of October (25th in EU), with season 3 starting on 1st of November (2nd for EU), right when the TW event ends.

    I would be very surprised if it's not that. It actually looks like Blizzard has some sort of plan and a timetable for this expansion.

    We will see the patch before blizzcon and at blizzcon they will probably talk small about the new expansion is my 2 dollars on.

    The concept art and assets are, as always, really nice. As has been mentioned by many already, the legendary weapon feels very tone deaf for the patch.

    I mean, it looks great, but it feels like just more instead of the lore reveal, a drastic change or something of this kind.

    Why couldnt it have just been a polearm that includes both Str and Agility. Would include druids and monks as well.

    Didnt locks open up to all classes in 10.1.7? So my guess will be 10.2.7

    It was 10.1.5, it came with the demon customizations.

    Are monks and demon hunters the only two classes who have yet to receive a legendary weapon (as dracthyr just got them in their first expansion)?

    My only disappointment is that they haven't yet added dragonriding to the druid flight form.

    Still no normal flying in the Dragon Isles? Hooray yet another patch where I only do content I can sit in town and queue for.

    Not going out into the world until I can fly like I can in the old world where they actually did flying right.
