Dragonflight Season 3 Mythic+ testing begins on PTR realms Thursday September 14th. The test period will begin Thursday September 14th at 10:00 PDT (13:00 EDT, 20:00 CEST), and end Monday September 18th at 10:00 PDT (13:00 EDT, 20:00 CEST). Please note that the test period may be adjusted in the event of technical difficulties.

This first weekend includes 6 of our season 3 Mythic+ dungeons featuring both Dawn of the Infinite dungeon wings and updates to the doors in Waycrest Manor:

  • Galakrond's Fall
  • Murozdon's Rise
  • Waycrest Manor
  • Atal'Dazar
  • Darkheart Thicket
  • Black Rook Hold

During the test period you’ll be able to acquire and customize Mythic Keystones by talking to the Keystone Vendor in Valdrakken, and the nearby Dungeon Teleports NPC will assist you with transportation.

We look forward to hearing your feedback!

This dungeon rotation is awful. Gonna save some money this season.

They are saying in this very post that there will be an updates on the door. No details yet, but my guess is on either all opened or the same each week.

We don't know if update means fixed. My expectations are low so I can never be disappointed.

I mean, they removed the RP and made freehold the same every week. At minimum they will make WCM doors always the same, and they might go one step further than that and just open all doors from the start(this would be preferred to be more creative with routing).

One can only hope. It also took them almost an entire season to fix the Priest issues in dungeons (something I know annoyed you in particular) so you'll have to excuse my low confidence.

I don't even think the same devs are in charge of this though. I fully expect class balance to be complete shit since it has been most of the xpac(in raids and M+ alike), but dungeon balance is completely different and they have been good at that most of the xpac outside of the first few weeks of season 1 which they quickly addressed with balance changes every week. This season had outliers also but it was at key levels where it really doesn't matter for the average M+ player so not terrible.

I’m curious as to how they will do TotT. Will it be linear with no changes? Will they make the skippable boss compulsory or just make him worth a big % chunk? If the latter, how will they add trash in so you have a choice?

I would imagine they'll just make it so you have to kill him. That's how it usually works.

If you're doing Freehold as a leveling dungeon you can just skip Ring of Booty but in M+ you have to kill it.

Two options, really: either mandatory or gone. They could simply close off that section of the instance, and be done with it.

Same with the spider boss in Everbloom that nobody ever ever ever killed unless they had to (e.g. CM). Either make it mandatory, or seal off the cave.

These bosses are too big and too heavy on mechanics to just be "trash %" minibosses.
