Except no one is asking for Dragonflight to be on sale because it's easily the worst expansion this dying MMO has ever received. Pretty much just universal mockery of the corpse of Blizzard at this point.

To each their own, it's my favourite expansion since 8.3 from a pve standpoint (as a heroic raid/22key man) and the upgrade system is absolute king for both main and alts.

Dragonriding is also bis af.

Those are different groups of people and both opinions hold value. Games lose value as they're out for longer and if this expansion is significantly longer/more often on sale then that obviously means something as well. Two sides of the same coin.

Putting the game on 50% won't drive sales..they need another free weekend before 10.2

You know... 3rd quarter is ending soon... you know what that means...

Wow... the bar is set high...

They won't bring back people who quit WoW with a season full of old dungeons. Who brings 6 previous expansions dungeons in a major patch and expects influx of new players? Now season 4 might be promising for returning players if they put all 8 Dragonflight dungeons and fix class balance that's been a bleeding problem. Its kinda obvious that S4 wont bring any new raids since they already added FoS heroic mount to ptr so we can only expect some story wrap up in a micro patch. Then once everything is in working order class and content wise they can ruin it again with a new prepatch and continue the FOTM cycle. WoW became a corporate software behemoth where big game play changes are non existent because of long chain of command and approval. So you either like the same old brainless grind or you are sick of it and want something different by now.

i disagree with this if it was king crests would be account wide since it isn't this system gets a B- form me at best if i have already farmed 20s on my main's for max gear by the tiem the catch up patch is introduced and there is NOTHING else i can do with my main i should be able to send the crests to my alts to make use fo them instead of vendoring them for 5-10 g per imo

Dragonflight is far from the worst and according to stats, is actually doing surprisingly well in terms of player retention. But I guess that goes against your narrative.

WoW had 12 million subs at one point. Now it's less than 1 million.

Played almost all of SL as well and it was allright, had a break for about nine months in 9.1 after my first child was born but pugged Sanctum towards the end.
