WoW Remix Tuning and Adjustments - May 21

  • The health of creatures in heroic scenarios has been decreased by 20% - 25%, based on the players’ levels. Higher level players will see enemies incur a larger decrease.
  • The health and damage of creatures on the Timeless Isle, Isle of Giants, and Isle of Thunder has been reduced.
  • Several spell gems (that were not down scaling up or down correctly based on player level) have been adjusted so that they provide a more-appropriate scaling effect. This includes Cold Front, Windweaver, Vampiric Aura, and Lightning Rod.
  • Spell gems with shielding effects should no longer cause threat.
  • Fixed a bug with Righteous Frenzy not canceling upon the end of combat.
  • Timerunner’s Vial mana regen significantly increased.

We’ll have all of the above, as well as other hotfixes to various issues, listed in our next hotfixes update.

Thanks again for all of your feedback!

We have made the following changes to improve Thread of Time gain for the Cloak of Infinite Potential. There are four new items that grant players escalating amounts of power for the Cloak of Infinite Potential:

  • Minor Spool of Eternal Thread
  • Lesser Spool of Eternal Thread
  • Spool of Eternal Thread
  • Greater Spool of Eternal Thread

Players will be able to find these new items from a variety of solo and group sources, ensuring all players have accessible ways to improve their cloak:

  • Infinite Bazaar Repeatable Dailies
  • First-Time Daily Scenario, Dungeon, and each LFR queue
  • World Bosses
  • Remix Achievements
    • Each of these achievements are available for additional characters to complete as well for bonus Bronze - and now bonus Spools of Eternal Thread.
  • Troves of the Thunder King scenario on the Isle of Thunder

Our goal with these additional items is to give players access to more Threads of Time from daily repeatable sources for primary and secondary characters. These should serve as readily attainable power-ups from a wide variety of content, so players can enjoy the breadth of Pandaria while also gaining additional power.

Is this more of the "I need tons of bronze because I also need to buy the stuff I can farm in game whenever" (seriously if anyone's complaining about the cost of the cosmetics while including lfr appearances in their overall cost, they're just being intentionally misleading then)

Or is this about the gear upgrades, because that isn't actually an issue with bronze itself and rather the system, they shouldn't up the bronze since they'd have to adjust the cosmetic cost then too

Most people are complaining because they found out about the apparent 800k bronze cost to buy absolutely every toy, mount and appearance. But even as a collector even I have to admit that a lot of the stuff you can buy is crap. Even the good stuff is really just one good version and several hideous revisions.

So you think its not outside the realm of possibility that people:

    1) Have enough bronze to upgrade gear fully

    AND

    2) are able to comfortably purchase things they want, including the high value things like mounts?

at 70, upgrading a piece of gear is 1500-2000 bronze PER piece. 16,000 Bronze for a single boost in item level across all 8 pieces. And that's NOT including weapons. Unless I'm mistaken, that number scales up with every item level boost too.

And unless I'm mistaken though, that includes stuff like the sha of anger mount being like 35k alone, which is what really makes the costs seem crazy, whereas the exclusive stuff is like 4-7k range.

That isn't an issue with bronze itself, but the cost of the upgrade system.

And even then, people have been pointing out on Reddit the upgrade system gives a miniscule stat upgrade and it doesn't affect the gems anyway.

that is indeed nice, however it is a baby step. they should be taking giant steps. it's better than the 25% boost to bronze, that was a teeny tiny baby step. should've been 500%

People seem to misunderstand the intent. They've done interviews and it's obvious they don't intend for players to collect everything, just the Remix exclusives. The other stuff is priced way higher because you can still farm it in retail, it's more of a bonus to work towards or a form of bad luck protection if you've been farming something for a long time already. They absolutely don't intend for players to fully clear out all the vendors.

Upgrading gear on non weapon slots is a waste of bronze compared to just farming threads, when frog farming was broken it was because of all the threads you got from boxes from coin turn ins, not because you got bronze to upgrade gear.

If you're that worried about bronze, stop wasting it on upgrading gear especially now that they are offering new ways to get threads and empower yourself far more than shitty ilvl on gear does.

So what is the best way to far threads for your cloak now? Also bronze

Major mistake is still there. Pushing players to raids. I don't do raids on Retail for reason. I won't do them on Remix too, no matter how "easy" they are. Difficulty isn't problem. I just don't like them. They're not my content. MOP's outdoor content is junk. I quit as soon as I'll finish leveling, sorry.

I really feel like I play SL 2.0, because I need hundreds of thousands of bronze, but Blizzard don't provide any good source of it, except frogs and goats. And raids. They still attempt to save their "Game is for raiders only" concept, even when it's already obvious, that it's dead. F**k it.

The items exclusive to Remix have a tag under their name.

These retail mounts and toys are disgustingly easy to get with bronze compared to regular way. But people still complain. Let's just get over with it and make every collectible in the game free and for everyone.

It's still 90 days. What's with thisa toxic community and their constant rushing and qq'ing. I have 50k bronze now, and my first character to max for their heritage heriloom. And I had loads of fun leveling and revisiting old friends and areas. Next I will level the next alts I miss for their armor. Then I will farm some bronze more. I have no doubt at all I will get the 800k or so I will need for all the mounts, pets and appearances I want to unlock.

So chill. And enjoy the ride. That's what this was made for, not another max level raid grind like on the main game. Approaching this like progression is just stupid.
