I haven't played WoW since before the first major BFA patch, but Paladin (retribution) and Judgement grab my attention anytime anywhere.
Finally after years of asking for it they make an updated model for it. But it's not enough to get me to come back to the game at all.
Also I suspect that it won't be obtainable right away.
My suspicion goes that this updated model will first be used by Arator the Redeemer (Turalyon and Alleria's son) Hence why they show the shoulder as he most likely won't wear the helmet. Then after a while it will be available to obtain ingame for transmog/RP purposes

Thank you.
Nice details. I hope it becomes obtainable by players too.

Who gives a damn about Arator?
I bet it will be a reward for 20th anniversary.
What better reward to give than updated iconic class sets?

I'm guessing his current expansion-protagonist mom gives a damn about him. But yeh, could also be a 20th anniversary reward. Or Both.
I forgot about the anniversary
EDIT: and TBF, my speculation is usually way off the mark (Which I take as a compliment given that I disliked Blizzard's direction enough to quit WoW years ago)

Except from the important part that he's Alleria's son. The stories only been addressed vaguely when Arator went to Argus so about 99% of the playerbase will give a damn

Yeah, sure, he is kinda relevant to current expansion, but can we picture fans being so excited to see him to warrant Blizzard TEASING his appearance on twitter?
I mean come on, it would be like teasing Brann being part of the WW cast. Is he relevant? Sure. Does he deserves such treatment? Doubt it.

99% of the playerbase don't even read quest texts...
(Exaggeration, sure, but so is yours 99%)

Ye this makes sense to me as well. It could also just be a way to make Arator stand out more as he doesnt look anything special in regular tier 2.
I saw someone suggest elsewhere that this could be related to the Warcraft 30 year anniversary or WoW 20 year anniversary, and I think that's a pretty likely source.
If they do a full suite of T2 updated transmog, I wonder what the newer classes will get instead.
Either way, I think upressing popular armor sets would be a great way for Blizzard to utilize AI. I think they've stated that they're already using it to fit newer helmets to different racial models.
Updated graphics for T2 (and T1) would be a nice gift for the 20th anniversary. It can also be used in SoD right away.
It seems more then updated graphics tho, but I understand it would boost the look of sod. Idk, but if those are real upgrades or redone completely, then I can see it as the anniversary thing for wow for sure.
I dont like how they bring in all the recolors of tier0,5 and now also tier 1. Most of them wont even get used in sod or were ever available in Vanilla or wow in general. That being said, imo those recolors offer way more for people who like transmog. Something that doesnt belong in sod.
The red/black hood that we have seen worn by a boss in tbc (warlock recolor) was always something people wanted for transmog. Then it popped up in sod for no reason.

Imagine being so god damn full of yourself that you think this was to try to get you back into the game.
I'm sure Arathor will use the Model but thats not why they are teasing it like that. Seems obvious that its related to 11.0.5 and the 20th Anniversary.
