It's so nice whenever they end up using "Shaping of the World".

This all looks pretty neat. A lot of stuff to do. But the time this ends it will probably be time for 11.0.5.

They went hard for the 20th Anniversary. Those T2 remakes look awesome.

Didn't they say this whole thing is 11.0.5? Pretty sure someone said it towards the end of the video.

Ugh... the Ascendance forms got me super hyped for the first 5 seconds! Saw that Zandalari transforming into a "fire Bwonsamdi" and I felt we were going to see a cool Ascendant for each race.

Then the video moved on, and turns out that it's just the same Ascendant model for every race and spec. What a let down

Going hard with 11.0.5 and the Anniversary is exactly how you keep momentum going from this strong launch. Looks awesome.

ITs sad I never made WoW's 20th. Been playing since 2005 and quit in 2021. But happy for all those still going, but alas I left Wow and for some reason I broke that addiction and haven't returned since. Loving watching from a distance though seems like lots of cool stuff coming

Evoker set doesn't exactly scream Nefarian but I see what they were getting at (gem crown on helmet, breastplate has that "ribbed" design that Nefarians visage armour has, colouration is similar), but it probably shouldn't be named after the Earth-Warder. Probably could have used Blackwing in the name instead of Neltharion's title.

They also mention that they have more to reveal for Ascendance forms, and to keep an eye on ptr patch notes in the days to come.

    Hmmmm *thinking-emoji*

We are so fucking back, boys!

Holy shit. What an unmitigated dub. We are getting a whole ass content patches worth of content in a .5. I was expecting something similar to the 15 year anniversary and they windmill slam dunked my expectations.

Only minor, minor complaint is that this seems to guarantee we're in for a much longer season and we likely won't be seeing our first TWW content patch until Feb/March '25.

Interesting. Well that gives me plenty of time to get all the sets. Good thing we can learn all of them now because I wasn't going to make a class for each of these.

Why though? If 11.0.5 is 2 months after TWW launch, that's normal. And they said this will last 2 months, which makes sense since after that it's 11.0.7. And two months after that it's 11.1.0. Which brings us up to 6 months between major patches just like how it was with DF.

They have cooked so much they probably overcooked. I just want to know if one char can manage to get all transmogs before event ends.

Being able to earn the anniversary currency while doing TWW seasonal content is a great idea, glad they did that

I was hurt by Shadowlands entirely too long intro patch. I'd hate to see history repeat itself with Blizzard far overestimating their ability to get content out at the same interval as DF. This .5 seems early, I'm just hoping that doesn't mean our .1 is late.

I'm going to miss the Cataclysm-era Ascendance model for my shaman. I just do not like the style of the upcoming new one.

Do we know when it's coming out? It could be late October. And if that's the case then 2 months would have passed since TWW launch.

Ok, tier sets being cool again is one of the most exciting stuff to happen to this game in years for my taste. And not only reworked ones. Those new ones look great too. This is what most of us wanted. Cool mogs. And the reworked ones look amazing. Hard not to be excited for this tbh.

I'm going to imagine with how much content this patch has in it, they're going to want it going live ASAP. I guess you're right that it could be late Oct but I was reading from the eagerness of the dev team that they might try to get this to us early-to-mid October.

And to rebuff my first post -- this is the most minor of complaints. If it is 2 months out and everything is gravy, cool. This isn't my first rodeo, though, and I'm getting Vietnam flashbacks of early SL with the way they're presenting this information.

Shadowlands launched amid the pandemic, where they had to completely restructure things to adjust for lockdowns and work-from-home.

Metzen reaffirmed in his interview with Scott Johnson that the team is committed to an eight-week content patch cycle and is firing on all cylinders.

Three eight-week patches per season means each season will be six months total. We know their goal for The Worldsoul Saga seems to be getting as close to an 18 month expansion cycle as possible. That's why they expanded and restructured the WoW team over the course of Dragonflight: now over 600 employees spread across three teams: two teams alternating between base expansions and one team developing content patches.

There will also likely be some accommodations made to add polish or adjust timing around certain dates or holidays. For example, I wouldn't be surprised if 11.0.5 launches on October 29 and runs through December 31 or January 7, making the 20th anniversary last through the entirety of November and December.

The amount of downtime between expansions is the only real unknown. DF Season 4 was exactly four months, but that period included Remix, the Dark Heart patch, and the pre-patch, making for a pretty seamless transition. I think I was actually more engaged with the game in DF Season 4 than I was during Season 3.

Johanna Faries said October for the next wow patch at Gamescom. So Patch is probably gonna be late October but I suspect the Event isnt gonna start until the actual anniversary in mid November. I assume the Patch will also have some TWW story stuff so staggering that makes sense and with the event running 2 months it would then also be live over the holidays.

Anyway I wouldnt worry about Patch cadence seems like they have it worked out and 11.0.7 is already on the internal servers.

EDIT: The WC3 crests are November trading post so...
