Quick Facts

Here’s what you can look forward to during the 20th Anniversary Celebration:

  • Look for the 20th Anniversary Celebration event all through the months of November and December.
  • Earn and spend a new currency— Bronze Celebration Tokens— to spend on new items for your collection.

  • Go back for some PvP revenge during Korrak’s Revenge in Alterac Valley
  • Celebrate 30 Years of Warcraft with Warcraft III themed back appearances on the Trading Post

New Currency

Take part in quests and activities to earn Bronze Celebration Tokens to spend on items during the 20th Anniversary Celebration, including returning items from previous anniversaries and new ones.

Go Back to the Blackrock Depths Raid

Join Moira Bronzebeard as the bronze dragonflight grants her a look back in history, guiding us all through a journey through eight epic boss raid encounters.

Players can queue for this epic raid with the Raid Finder (Group Finder Hotkey I) or create their own groups of 10 to 15 players by speaking with Moira for Normal and Heroic difficulties.

Get Tier 2 Armor Appearance Sets

Paladin

Death Knight, Hunter, Mage

Warrior, Druid, Priest

Monk, Shaman, Evoker

Warlock, Demon Hunter, Rogue

We’ve modernized some very classic Tier 2 sets for all classes, including those that didn’t exist at the time these sets were introduced—such as Monks and Evokers—for a total of thirteen class sets! Each set comes as an ensemble of 9 pieces, including a cloak, making sure you look the part from head to toe.

  • Death Knight: Pale Rider's Eternal Armor
  • Demon Hunter: Netherwalker's Eternal Armor
  • Druid: Stormrage Raiment
  • Evoker: Earth-Warder's Eternal Armor
  • Hunter: Dragonstalker Armor
  • Mage: Netherwind Regalia
  • Monk: Eternal Battlegear of the August Acolyte
  • Paladin: Judgement Armor
  • Priest: Vestments of Transcendance
  • Rogue: Bloodfang Armor
  • Shaman: Then Ten Storms
  • Warlock: Nemesis Raiment
  • Warrior: Battlegear of Wrath

Step back in time and show off your class pride when you purchase these appearances with Bronze Celebration Tokens earned during the 20th Anniversary Celebration.

Timewalking Through the Classics

Take part in a new Timewalking event that will take you through the original version of Deadmines, Zul’Farrak, Dire Maul (east and west wings), and Stratholme’s living and undead dungeons for epic new rewards. Queue up via the Adventure Journal or the Group Finder with players level 10 and above.

Players will have the option to visit special vendors to get new mounts, pets, and transmog appearances.

Here are just a few items you will find on the Timewalking vendors starting with the 20th Anniversary:

  • Enchanted Spellweave Carpet (from Wrath of the Lich King)
  • Amani Hunting Bear (from the Burning Crusade)
  • Frayfeather Hippogryph (from Classic World of Warcraft)

Earn a New Mount, Service Award Appearances, and More

Blizzard employees earn special service awards during their time at the company. We’ve taken inspiration from these awards to create a new mount that is fully armored in a similar style—the Coldflame Tempest mount. This blue-flamed flying mount takes after its fiery cousin, the Ashes of Al’ar, and will let you show off your own years of service to Azeroth.

Players can also earn appearances based on the employee sword, shield, and crown to show off in-game, along with a version of the employee ring as a toy.

Stand out with a 20-Year balloon toy and two adorable baby dreadlord pets—Lil’Kaz and Lil’Doomy— you can add to your collection.

For a limited time, you will also see some returning Anniversary items that can be also purchased with Bronze Celebration Tokens when you visit Storekeeper Reginald in the Celebration Pavilion and peruse his inventory.

  • Core Hound Chain: Teaches the Core Hound mount.
  • Lil’Nefarian: Teaches the Lil’ Nefarian pet.
  • Molten Corgi: Teaches the Molten Corgi pet.
  • Onyxian Whelpling: Teaches the Onyxian Whelpling pet.
  • Hatespark the Tiny: Teaches the Hatespark the Tiny pet.
  • Baby Blizzard Bear: Teaches the Baby Blizzard Bear pet.

Join the Celebration at the Cavern of Time

This year’s celebration event has expanded, and the bronze dragonflight have taken the activities just outside the Caverns of Time with various new and exciting things to do.

Show off your transmog at the Fashion Frenzy stage hosted by Althaea. Mount up to match Abigail Cyrildotr at the Mount Mania arena and show off your mount collection. Join Lorewalker Cho at the Storyteller stage for an epic tale you can’t help but join in on. Take a photo with guildmates, venture to epic vistas, disguise yourself as your pet, cosplay as famous heroes or villains, skate on the rink, or take a balloon for a lazy ride around the event space. There’s plenty to see and do as you join the celebration in Tanaris, and it’s available to players at level 15 and above.

New World Bosses

There are gate-crashers at nearly every party, and that’s true of our anniversary celebration. We’re bringing back some classic World Bosses from the past, including Doomwalker, Azuregos, Lord Kazzak, and the Dragons of Nightmare, along with a couple of additional party crashers in the sands of Tanaris— the Sha of Anger and Archavon the Stonewatcher.

Players can join in bouncing them out of the celebration beginning at level 15 to earn some great rewards and anniversary currency.

Codex of Chromie

Chromie is up for any challenge, but due to her unique role, she has not kept her codex in order. When asked to put together time tours of the opening of the Ahn’qiraj gate, she’s discovered things are in a jumble. She’ll need help from Azeroth’s heroes to put things to rights once more and send out of place enemies in the sands of Silithus back to where they belong. Players can queue up using the Group Finder for this 10-20 player scenario beginning at level 15.

Help Wanted at Guest Relations

Often a thankless job, guest relations has a new volunteer, Alyx, stepping into the role with the lofty hopes of doing a better job than their predecessor. As visitors pour into the celebration, Alyx is under pressure and could use a little help making it an event to remember. Thankfully, they have found a secret-sleuthing tuskarr family who have become the perfect helpers in getting players up to speed with the tools of the secrets trade.

Assist Alyx each week with resolving new guest mysteries by using your new secret-finding skills, and be on the lookout for stolen celebration goods. Follow the rumors and solve the mystery— if you can. We’re counting on you, secret finders.

Korrak’s Revenge Returns

Run down your enemies, raze their fortifications, and exchange the tokens you loot from their corpses to summon mighty reinforcements in Korrak’s Revenge, a throwback Battleground inspired by the earliest days of Alterac Valley.

Players who complete the quest, “Korrak’s Revenge,” will be rewarded one of two mounts based on your character’s faction: the Stormpike Battle Ram (Alliance) and the Frostwolf Snarler (Horde).

Players taking part in the battlegrounds during the anniversary celebration can also click on the Alliance Armory or the Horde War Supplies located in the starting areas of battlegrounds to don the appearance of PvP sets from times past.

Celebrate 30 Years of Warcraft with the Trading Post!

Celebrate 30 Years of Warcraft with November’s Trading Post. Players will be able to fill the month’s bar to earn four iconic back appearance shields representing the factions of Warcraft III— Orc, Human, Night Elf, and Scourge.

It says Hunting Bear, while TBC is War Bear. Same model different colors I think like the Battle Bear

Yeah, looks like some updated colors, more green like shield etc, though fresh like the TBC one, not like the off color silly Amani Battle Bear

Wow. So a bunch of the old tier 2 sets got higher res textures with proper 3D edges...and Shaman gets a flat-as-fuck Ten Storms set that is barely distinguishable from the original. The chains are still flatly painted onto the kilt and chest rather than being three dimensional with distinct edges. Same with the brown leather parts.

Fucking lazy. What a massive disappointment.

Yeah thought the same with the warlock set when you see the skull on the robe it still looks so outdated.
Guess some sets did not really get the work done on them what they deserve.

If anything they should look into the robes from the warlock and shaman sets, but i think the warlock set needs most of the work not really impressed what they did with the set when you consider that it was one of the best sets back in the day.

    Ya, I saw that too...

I bet it looks better in game.

Still kinda lame it's not more 3D though...

Yeah this is a huge amount of content, on top of everything else they added with TWW so far. That Microsoft money is going to good use!

Seriously though I can't believe all this content we have been getting lately. It's hard to keep up! During this event those pieces will be purchasable with the new event currency, so I'll be pretty much just doing that stuff the whole time but man there is a lot to go through. I imagine each week will be a new classic Timewalking event going back to these old dungeons and raids. On top of all this they did a vendor refresh with all new items on the Timewalking vendors.... Honestly since Dragonflight my transmog wardrobe has probably doubled and doesn't look like it's going to stop anytime soon.

My only wish NOW is that they update the Transmog system to add filters or a way to sort through all these looks. I literally have like 10 pages of armor sets on some of my toons. Good problems to have imo.

Yeah for sure. I feel like the event currency will be used to purchase all the sets so as long as you do the dailies and run the content for the time of the event then you should probably have enough to buy all the sets at the least.

Druid armor looks sick, I can't wait to get it, big W for blizzard in the last few months, keep up the good work
Yeah for real. Some sets may not look AS good but honestly who cares? People that complain aren't taking into consideration that most times you don't even use the FULL set of armor, but you mix and match to customize it a bit. Think about all the new pieces to the wardrobe we are getting? It's mind boggling.

Anduin sticks out of that wallpaper like a sore thumb with his Paul Walker haircut. Varian would have been a much better fit. Also surprised Gul'dan is right in the center backdrop instead of Deathwing. When it comes to three main bad guys in WoW, people think Illidan, Lich King and Deathwing due to BC > Wrath > Cataclysm when the game was in its height of popularity and player base. Not that I'm complaining, love me some Gul'dan and Deathwing was terribly written and presented.

Also, no Garrosh... must you shit me, yet Xal'awhatever is in there.

So in the video, the Monk T2 is green and looks super sick. In the screenshot showing off the Monk with the two other Classes, it's not. Multiple color variants confirmed?

Original rogue T2 set still looks better imo, shame I stopped playing my vanilla rogue as I don't have 20 fingers and autism.

Oh the person you’re referring to isn’t playing TWW. He’s playing DF, he never plays the current expansion

It’s an acronym for Fear of Missing Out. It’s stupid because if you play the game, you get the stuff. These people have their knickers all bunched up and in a twist because Blizzard is encouraging collectors to play the game by adding things to it

I think Gul'dan is there to represent the Legion, i.e., the original big baddie.

Not sure why they went with both Alleria and Xal'atath... especially since Sylva (a more popular Windrunner) is already included. They should have put Alexstrazsa where Alleria is now and use the open spot for Garrosh (one of, perhaps even the best character created strictly in WoW).
