Soule is truly one of the GOATs of video game music. It's really too bad that he turned out to be a groper.

Jeremy Soule? He's an American composer who did a lot of music for all sorts of media, including video games and more specifically RPGs and Mists of Pandaria. He fell from grace in 2019 and has a wikipedia page if you want to know more.

Thank You. Will check that out.

The music hasn't been the same since Blizzard basically gutted their audio department in Legion just so they could squeeze a few more pennies for Bobby's yacht. Miss having more of Russell Brower's music.

I looked him up and I got say...I will never understand men who can't keep their hands to themselves. I work with several beautiful women at my work place and I have never touched them inappropriately or wanted to Rape them or harm them.

Some men just let their inhibitions (or exhibitions) rule their lives....sickening

He composed the music for the classic cRPG Icewind Dale, undoubtedly the finest game music out there. Outstanding.

There were allegations which he denied. No charges were ever brought and no lawsuits have been filed. Think what you will about him but he is innocent until proven guilty. Unless there is some proof or a conviction, I don't think it's right to ruin a person's life over allegations. Look up Brian Banks to see how that can go badly for someone innocent.

Y'all soo mad for Soule in this topic, that's typical lefftie agenda and cancel culture. Soule is GOAT for sure in this.
Well that specific think brought your countries in danger, of potential usurpation by arabs, and other migrants.

Some people have higher levels of lust and deal with that lust poorly. I believe that the more someone has suffered in their lives the more creative they become, maybe there's a connection between the two.

I'm a huge fan of the work he did on Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. Some didn't like the ARPG spin-off but it was some of the finest couch co-op available at the time.

That's a fair stance but even the ex-girlfriend that Soule had in 2019 corroborates that he's a creeper. He tried to pressure her into taking erotic nudes which she was deeply uncomfortable with, and that's a HUGE red flag. He may not be a rapist, but he has at the very least issues with personal boundaries. According to her, he has also expressed regret about treating women poorly.

As for Soule himself (and every other human being for that matter), I will agree with what others are saying - innocent until proven guilty.
    Yep.

And for those who don't know, have a listen. (The whole soundtrack is good, but the theme sets the mood).

I agree he is one of the best, but the alleged metoo stuff is just alleged, nothing's proven, so it could be one of the many many false reports.

That said, he did do some other sketchy shit trying to defraud people etc.

Another great one is Uelmen (he wrote parts of the TBC ost btw) but he also had a mental breakdown a couple years ago and hasnt really been heard of since (the fact that he isnt even in the video here, like wtf his ambient is the best)..

I can only assume being a musical genious tears at your mind lol

Indeed. An often forgotten fun fact is that Uelmen's contribution to the TBC soundtrack was actually done for a scrapped version of Diablo 3. After the project went under, the music was repurposed into the TBC soundtrack.

As for Soule, I've already said my piece. I believe the thread his ex-GF posted on reddit a few months ago, so there's not much else to discuss.

I dunno. BfA and War Within have banger soundtracks. Even Shadowlands had decent ones, if inferior overall to some other expansions like Wrath, Mists and WoD. Dragonflight is the only modern expansion with mediocre music across the board.

BfA has one of the best soundtracks for a modern expansion. Shadowlands wasn't as good but still had some great tracks.

Dragonflight being a more experimental expansion, I feel like they tried to return to more ambient music. But unlike the vanilla -> wotlk era, there was something off in thier production where it just became entirely unremarkable. I actually can't even recall a single song from DF from memory and that's definitely a first for WoW.
