Neat and all, but i am perplexed as to why they do these rather old-timey product collabs?

Mountain Dew i kinda get with the nostalgic element, but the Trolli and whatever that second promotion was are pretty weird.

Nothing wrong to chug one can per week but personally i've never felt better when years ago i dropped drinking soda drinks.

It's because the rules are different in Europe. You're not allowed to incentives selling a product with rewards.

That's why there's usually a "No purchase necessary" element to promotions to get around restrictions concerning incentives for purchases. In this case, I don't see such verbiage, as well as specifically stating it's for legal residents of the US50, DC, and Guam.

Looking further into the listed terms and checking the website listed on the products, this seems like the generic points program that's already in place but will have WoW rewards available in their reward tiers. Perhaps they'll make you link your B.net account or require you to get an Xbox gaming account to do the linking (the mention of the Xbox gaming account in the fine print could suggest that), which could indicate that it's an indirect push to get people to sign up for either since the rewards are there. If anything, the winners here are Mountain Dew and Microsoft in terms of money and advertising, and WoW may win but it has the lowest potential returns for this promotion compared to the other two.
