Bronze Celebration Token Changes Incoming - October 29

This should open repeat tokens faster and allow players to continue with their preferred content type be it PvP (Korrak’s Revenge), raiding (Blackrock Depths), dungeons (Classic Timewalking), or outdoor style content (World Bosses or Codex of Chromie).

Updated Bronze Celebration Tokens:
  • Dornogal Weekly Quests (Worldsoul, Archive, Delve) – 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Bonus Holiday Quests (Timewalking, World Quests, Arena, Battleground, Dungeon, Delve) – 10 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Zone Activity Weeklies (Awakening the Machine, Spread the Light, Snuffling, Azj’Kahet Pacts, Theater Troupe) – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each
  • Special Assignment World Quests – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each/2 per week
  • 11.0 World Boss – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Queen Ansurek – 15 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Conquest/Rated PvP Weekly – 15 Bronze Celebration Tokens
  • Honor, War Mode, and Brawl Weeklies – 8 Bronze Celebration Tokens each

Great! Also nice to have a short, comprehensive list of what rewards tokens in the first place.

edit: my lawyer (who is definitely not Ion Hazzikostas) has once again informed me that I must clarify that this post is actually sarcasm
My post was ever so slightly ironical as well. Do you think our respective lawyers could be twinsies?

Blizzard made weeklies so buggy with TWW. None of my pvp quests are rewarding bronze celebration tokens, the quest from doing a lesser keyflame didn't reward a bronze celebration token this week, the Original Path Through Time quest isn't available for characters that did it last week.

The sweet spot is somewhere in the middle but this target will change depending on tons of mitigating factors which are insanely difficult to predict. (How many players will engage in the content? Do players actually like the content? Are the rewards sufficient?) I think they hit more than they miss but if you view their track record through the lens of forum feedback, it's understandable to come away with a slightly more cynical outlook.

In retrospect, they have been (at least recently) pretty good about communicating the reasons why they may miss the mark on this stuff. But the truth is no amount of communication from Blizzard will help players who just want a reason to justify their dissatisfaction. All we can hope is that they learn from the past and make quick adjustments when reality fails to line up with expectations.
What do you mean hit more than miss? They missed the mark with every single event in the last few years.

So if it lasted 2 years would it be ok to have 1 token per week?

Source: nerfs within 1 week, the pre-patch one was adjusted even faster
How do you call it a hit when it needs adjustments, sometimes massive?

Brother. If you got whooshed any harder, we'd have to install whoosh proof crumple zones on your internet browser.

Improve your reading comprehension skills. I didn't say this was a hit. I said that they have a tendency to hit more than they miss recently. There have been versions of Blizzard's past where the developers were reluctant to change anything for any reason and would leave the game in a truly dire state for extended periods of time (SL Season 1); at least now they're willing to make adjustments when necessary and generally seem to have their fingers on the pulse of player feedback. Like I said, Blizzard is never going to hit the mark dead on for the whole playerbase but they're trying.

Except everyone is going to get their first set this week anyway, regardless of this buff. This buff helps people get the other twelve sets faster.

The cost for the sets are 60 for the first, 40 for the second, and then 20 for the remaining 11. That is 320 tokens. Most people aren't going to do everything, and they will land on around 30 a week based on the old numbers. That means it'll take around 11 weeks of doing it as a chore for the entirety of the event and only completing it at the very end. And then there's a chance you'll miss out if you don't hit 30 tokens a week.

so when you hit 100 tokens for the achievement "repeatable activities" award tokens. so far it looks like these are timewalking classic dungeons and the codex of chromie. was hoping it would mean that doing the activities on alts would give them but haven't checked that yet
