Sad thing is the island itself looks like a hodge podge of different ideas from other stuff that's been removed and its just been thrown all together into a "new and exciting" adventure. Really wish they would just invest in evergreen stuff not stuff that lasts half an expansion ppl get tired of it then forget about it this just feels like it'll be used for awhile then forgot about along with the time gated ring
ok I am confused... the "large crystal" is at 1:47 and that is meant to be the tip of Beledar? I guess a solid chunk of it is underground, I was expecting more to be above ground I guess

The last Disc Fragment quest confirmed that there are multiple calcified crystals around and inside of Azeroth. It is also theorized both in and out of game that Sargeras' sword hit Beledar, so the bottom of Beledar is located underground in or near Silithus, while the top of it is somewhere in the Earth under the sword. This new crystal is likely a brand new crystal.

well that's a new one. I've not seen or heard the Sword be mentioned at all and Khaz Algar is quite the distance from Silithus...
I wonder if the name of the Island os random, connected to the Naga or a spicy mystery story about a song luring sailors. Perhaps its just «voice of Azeroth calling, tune in for the next patch. This is the anime beach-episode»
Looks like a mesh of Island Expeditions [Rotating enemy types] and Forbidden Reach [Events and Onyx Amulet 2.0].
And, as a collector, IE sucked balls BECAUSE of its rotating nonsense... back in BfA it literally took months before I saw the chance of seeing the Anubian Shell [iirc] drop.
So yeah, very apprehensive with this patch. I hope at least no Rares have a long respawn time... I don't fancy the idea of waiting for a specific rare every 3 weeks to 8+ hour respawn times.

Theorized by WHO?
That is not a theory that I have seen talked of ANY WHERE in game or out of game.

That makes no sense, Silithus is nowhere near Khaz Alagar. I've seen more debunks of that theory than the theory itself. Just geographically, Also they are runes on Beledar.

Yeah. Algar is south-east of Uldum/Tanaris, and Beledar is pretty much west of Hallowfall. While Gorribal was plunged pretty much vertically into Silithus. I highly doubt it struck Beledar. It COULD be possible that the geological upheaval from the sword partially damaged it or knocked it off kilter, but that's the most I'm willing to budge on that.
This feels so disconnected from the current zone. we just got here and are already going into a new , probably instanced no fly zone, that sound like an after though. but OK it's not a main patch and it's to keep us busy. Hopefully the gameplay is fun and what's revealed is interesting enough to warrant the detour. And I hope there are new delves inside.

It was said in some quest that Beledar started shifting to shadow when Sargeras' sword struck Silithus. I guess that's enough to imply the sword interacted with the crystal somehow

A classic example of taking correlation for causation.
That's what theories are. You notice correlation and wonder if there's a causation
But it was not theorized in the game, as the user states. Those are 100% player theories, and a bit far fetched at that, considering where Silithus is and where Khaz Algar is.
Well, the War Within intro reminded us that the sword was aimed at something (and apparently not just at Azeroth's soul as we thought in Legion / BFA and even after supposedly healing Azeroth it's steal a problem). Then in game we see Beledar started acting differently after the sword landed. I think the assumption that the sword hit Beledar is the simplest one. At least for now we have no other possible target. Time will tell if it's true. As for the distance to Silithus - I wouldn't pay that too much attention. The scale in game world is always skewed to fit the narrative / gameplay. For me it's enough Khaz Algar is east of Tanaris and Hallowfall is to the west from Khaz Algar, and Beledar even further west. I won't be surprised if that turns out to be true. I won't be surprised if there is a different target, either

Looks like it won't be that bad as there's only three types of enemies for rotations: pirates, vrykul and naga.

Excerpts from from a conversation between Alleria and Anduin in game once you accept the quest "Nightwatch":
Anduin Wrynn says: I've gotten a look at the crystals in their keyflames. It's not Azerite, but it is close enough that I think they are connected.
Alleria Windrunner says: Then you've realized when Beledar shifted for the first time?
Anduin Wrynn says: Their Day of Darkness... the same day Sargeras plunged that sword into Azeroth.
It's not, it is only said that Beledar shifted the same time Sargeras plunged the sword. None of the NPCs suggest that it happened because Beledar was hit by the sword.

the original post that started this discussion said that Beledar was hit by the sword:

given where Beledar is on the map and given where the sword is - no, not possible. did the sword plunging into Azeroth cause it to start to shift? sure, probably - that is more than a reasonable conclusion to make, just like the sword made Azerite spurt out everywhere. but that was not the original point made in the post.
