We got lots of announcements for World of Warcraft at the Warcraft Direct today!
- Housing is coming to World of Warcraft: Midnight
- The charity pet for this year is Reven the fox, and purchases benefits Cure Duchenne through January 6th
- There was also a Novella released today, explaining what happened with Jaina and Thrall after they left us. It’s narrated by Chris Metzen. You can see all of the Warcraft Literature in our Chronology.
- Patch 11.1 is named Undermined, taking us to Undermine. Players will get a new customizable racecar mount that goes much faster than existing ground mounts.
- Undermine will have two new delves, a new dungeon, an eight boss raid, and a new arena map.
- Mists of Pandaria Classic is coming in 2025
- Fresh World of Warcraft classic realms are launching soon, along with the Hardcore type realm.

Patch 11.0.7
- Patch 11.0.7 goes live on December 17 with something for everyone - Epilogue questlines for Dalaran and the Kirin Tor, featuring the Haranir. It’ll also have the prologue for where we are going next.
- Patch 11.0.7 brings us Siren Isle, an outdoor environment to explore, with catch-up rewards for alts and to prepare for the next season ahead.
- Plunderstorm coming back, with a Plunderstore to give you more flexibility in how you earn rewards, rather than the linear Renown track.
- The Turbulent Timeways event is returning
- We’ll also be getting a Winter Veil revamp

Patch 11.1: Undermined
- Next up, we’re following Xal'atath’s trail, leading us to a location underground…
- Patch 11.1 is named Undermined, taking us to Undermine. This is a city like none that we have seen before, showing off the intelligence and creativity of the Goblins, as masters of technology and alchemy.
- Players will learn more about Goblin culture than ever before. What’s important to them, what problems they are trying to solve, and what they are capable of as a society.
- When you arrive at Undermine, you’ll find it plunged in conflict between the four major Goblin cartels: Steamwheedle, Blackwater, Bilgewater, and the Venture Company.
- Players will align themselves with the cartel of their choice
- Early on, players will earn a new vehicle mount for Undermine.
- The zone has roads and the car goes much, much faster than regular ground mounts
- Players can adjust their car’s driving characteristics: Grip, acceleration, and top speed, all tweakable. Live your life 440 yards at a time.
- Operation Floodgate is the new dungeon in Undermine. Race to stop a group of goblins from blowing a dam that would bring ruin to the Ringing Deeps.
- This dungeon will immediately be part of the Season 2 dungeon pool on Heroic, Mythic, and Mythic+ difficulties. The pool will also include the four other launch dungeons and three returning legacy dungeons.
- The Motherlode is one of the three legacy dungeons returning to the pool.
- Undermine also has two new delves plus new variations on the existing delves
- Brann Bronzebeard is getting some seasonal updates, a new adversary to follow Zekvir, and a new set of Goblin inspired curios
- The Liberation of Undermine is a new 8 boss raid. This raid takes you through the streets of the city and into the goblin casino, the Gallagio. It hides the dark secrets of its owner, Gallywix.
- The team is adding a new Arena Map that is set in the city
- Players may wonder how Xal'atath and Goblin politics fit into the fate of the Worldsoul, but they’ll find out more in the months ahead.
Season of Discovery and Classic
- Season of Discovery - The AQ War Effort unlocks very soon, leading into the launch of the Ahn’Qiraj raid. This will bring new changes and surprises, new mechanics, difficulty changes, and new rewards.
- After that, Season of Discovery will go through the final phase. Naxxramas is coming, along with instanced content for the Scarlet Crusade and Adventures in Deadwind pass
- The final phase of Cataclysm Classic is coming - The Hour of Twilight patch and Dragon Soul raid launch early next year
- Mists of Pandaria Classic is coming in 2025
- WoW Classic: 20th Anniversary Edition launches on November 21st. It has fresh new realms.
- No need to rush to 60 this time, as Molten Core won’t unlock until a few weeks after launch. This includes all of the regular realm types, as well as Hardcore.
- All realm types will progress to Burning Crusade Classic.
- These realms will launch with the quality of life features that came later on, such as the Chronoboon Displacer and improved PvP Honor ranking system.
