Pretty much. I literally buy cheap Microsoft mice that are like 25$. I don't need anything fancy, just something that works.

Yep, I went through 3 Naga's in 3 years and will never buy another Razer product, kind of a red flag that Blizzard is willing to sell out to a company with that bad of quality control.

why would anyone want razer products? They wear out and break down and are very overpriced. No thanks.

Had to open the mouse & put a drop of glue from a glue gun on these plasic click connectors or whatever they are called. the plastic simply wears out & you have to put 1mm of glue on them so they hit again. there are actually guides on youtube how to do this as it was a common problem with older naga models.

Oh yeah, I had the naga trinity a few years ago and it barley lasted 1 year, then scroll became super rigid, double clicks and eventually stopped registering clicks.
On the other hand I replaced my nari heaphones after 4 years and that because the shit pleather was peeling like crazy.
Seems like build quiality is all over the place with their products.
Also fuck having to keep synapse running even for something as basic as static color while the devices have onboard memory.

Yea, same. Was around BfA/SL when i had the nagas. Back then the naga was 60-70€/$ which is a joke for a product that lasts mererly a year without repair.
Also means they either didn't test their product or released it with the crasppy plastic material at the connectors on purpose, knowing it will wear out super fast.
Never bought any razer product again.

Seems there's a consensus that Razer is flashy pricey crap...the pretty lights, the "cool" names, and not much else?

The main problem is longevity. Some of their stuff are actually pretty good, on top of looking great, but if they only last a few months, it's just not worth it.

Kinda wild that part wore out so fast, good that you actually identified your problem. I've opened mine up on many occasions and every single time, visually there is nothing wrong anywhere. I even went so far to disassemble the clicking box itself. Like clockwork with a brand new mouse I'll have the issues within 1-3 months. I've come to the tin foil hat conspiracy theory conclusion that they've did something within the software to do the release click or double click to persuade people to buy another one.

I had the same issue. Honestly, any of the lower models of Razer mice I wouldn't touch at all. I had a 2014 Naga last like 6-8 years and then "upgraded" to the new Trinity as they don't make it any more (plus, newer tech, right?). Well, that got me this:

RMA'd at least 4 through amazon alone. All of them had unusable scroll wheels. They were either too stiff - you could push across the desk with the wheel - or in one case, it was completely disconnected and freespan/didn't give any inputs.

Tried all the other brand mice and have seen their reviews of similar issues (double clicks and such) so no point switching brand - Eventually bit the bullet and got the v2 Pro, which has (touch wood) been a LOT better quality. Completely different switches/sensors in it.

LOL. That bike mount is super cool and unique.

The Razer promo offer is just recolors of crap that already exists in the game and no one is using them anyway.

Idk I've been using Razer mice for years. I currently have a Deathadder which is by far my favorite mouse. The Naga seems cool in theory but those side buttons are just key maps. I currently have most keys on the keyboard are hotkeys in wow with a whopping 11 keybinds just for my Deathadder alone. Because I use the shift and ctrl keys as modifiers. Aside from that I have had the same Deathadder for years now, was recently thinking about picking up a new one because the third set of additional grip pads i put on this thing have worn down. Soft rubber always wears out easily it's the trade off for the softness. I recommend buying extra pads on amazon where they are super cheap. But the feel of a Razer mouse is very comfortable for me. I have played with one for almost 15 years in WoW. I've used other stuff sure but it just doesn't have the same feel in my hand and that's something I will pay a premium for.

I also use the keyboard but I'm not super in love with it. SURE it works good but I don't really use the extra bells and whistles I just need a good mechanical keyboard with lights because I play in the dark most times. (I don't like to keep the lights on in my penthouse because I don't want people on the street watching me walk around in my bathrobe) so yeah need lights and mechanical keys because i like the tactile feel of them. Other than that I use a $49 pair of headphones I found on Amazon but work super well, comfortable and great sound, deep baas and crisp high notes. Mic also works good.

yeah idk I still prefer the good ol Deathadder and I am a keybind wizard. I just prefer the setup and using the rest of the keybinds with my keyboard itself. You would be amazed how high my APM's can get.

idk everyone has a different situation financially I get it. But I prefer the Razer mice at the very least. I usually just get a bundle at Costco for like $99 that has the mouse and keyboard together. SUper good deal. ALSO ANYTHING you buy at COSTCO can be returned with or without a box forever! So your keyboard and mouse that wears out 3 years later? Oh well take that thing back and swap it out for a new one!

Before the naga I had a Redragon Impact for like 2-3 years and after the naga I got a HyperX Pulsefire Raid for nearly 3. Neither got the double click problem and were fully functional on replace, not even the budget Redragon.
Now, shamefully, I'm using a Basilisk v3 cause my wife was out of gift ideas. It's a cool mouse but once again they fucked with the scroll wheel to do the freescroll bullshit and I can no longer abuse scroll left/right clicks because it feels werid. I wonder if it will make to 1 year.

Yeah, I guess it does seem random. I've had two Naga's, the original Epic Chroma and a newer V2 Hyperspeed. The Chroma lasted 6 years of daily use before having issues, and I got tired of that brick for a dock. The Hyperspeed is 2 years old and going strong. Meanwhile, I had a pair of Barracuda headphones that literally snapped in half at the band when putting them on one day, less than a year old and got a full warranty replacement that I haven't bothered to open because I already switched headphones.
