Love is in the Air 2025 Mount Clarifications

For Love is in the Air 2025:

  • Legacy drops, such as the X-45 Heartbreaker, have a much higher chance to drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide). There is a very small chance to receive legacy drops on subsequent attempts made the same day, for players who enjoy running the content on multiple characters.
  • New drops, such as the Love Witch's Sweeper, can only drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide), and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.

Good luck out there. Don’t stand in the Crown Chemical Company’s chemicals!

For the rocket, it's 0.03%, been that way since day one. The first attempt of the day is 1%, in line with other event mounts.
For the broom, it's irrelevant since there's bad luck protection AND you can purchase it in the Trading Post anyway. EDIT : I was wrong, they look similar but there's 2 different mounts

Love Witch's Sweeper isnt the same as Silvermoon Sweeper from trading post. the TP one is white with red accents, the Box one is white with Purple'ish accents

Ahhh, Blizzard you seem to be mistaken, I do not enjoy doing it.
I, like many others, feel like we have to.

Just to clarify: "wow account wide" does not mean "battle.net account wide"?

So a second wow account (on the same b.net account) doubles the chances to get something on the first attempt of the day?

Blizzard lost their mind. Increasing droprates is a no-go.
It's a big middle finger to those farming them for ages.
The droprate increase of World Boss mounts was a bad decision too.

By that logic every single patch is a middle finger to people who played the game prior to it as all previous content becomes easier.

Disagree. Gearing is timegated and inevitable. Also the raid mounts become 1 percent instead of 100 percent. That's fine.

But nerfing the Boss fights for like 20-30 percent over the weeks/months is a big middle finger to the top guilds in the beginning. Top guilds did it with less gear.

brother.. I've played the game for 18 years, i have yet to get the god damn love rocket, at this point, I should have a 99.99% drop chance for it, if they increase the drop rate for it and yes I have done the dungeon at least once every single week for the last 15 years, i have yet to recive the mount in the box.

uh.. you got a source where the top guilds says its a big middle finger to them? i very much doubt method etc cares much outside of the race to world first.

Thats been the design philosophy for a long time. Its just sad what has happened to the game, no integrity, no reason to play when it wont matter because next year you'll have it anyway.

Listening to the complainers is absurde, their entitlement is insane. The love mount is the perfect example and every year it is the same, they somehow deserve it. it doesn't sound like they got particularly many drop chance either

It's the reason I've completely stopped farming anything in wow and just log for a few weeks around patch time before canceling my sub again. I used to enjoy farming and collecting things (And no, I don't care if others get what I have) but it just feels useless since you can just wait a couple of years and get it for 2% of the effort.
At this point playing wow in the current patch is like buying the latest TV for 6000 dollars instead of just waiting 3 years and buying it for 600 dollars.

really? bcs as someone farming it for ages i am very happy they increased my chances of getting it...
i somehow fail to see how the chances still being shite would be good for people who already spend a lot of time on it...

i dont think its entitlement to point out having something that you can try to get 14 times a year (per char) had MUCH LOWER chance to drop than mounts from raids which you can do every week, so 52 times per year...

and i would be with you if we were talking about something SKILL related, like for example mage tower rewards, not everybody should have that, but something COMPLETELY luck based? hell no, fuck of with that, its simply stupid design to have something like that so extremely rare...

Imagine defending Blizzard's idea of having a mount with ~0.03% drop chance drop 2 weeks a year, and then dare to call people pointing that out and complaining "entitled".
  1. Daedius's Avatar
Lots of attention seekers here complaining about wanting to feel special, to stand out purely on luck...

There's still plenty of things to do that, especially with PvP Rating and soon the M+ 3000 mounts.

Go brush up on your skill and actually show THAT off instead of being lucky or FOMO nonsense.

*Insert Greta's "How Dare You" meme*

Thes people act like someone getting a mount purely on luck getting it after a few attempts put 'more effort' in compared to someone being tossed a bone after thousands of attempts.

Okay, and? There's no mistake from Blizzard's part, only yours for assuming Blizzard was speaking specifically about you. Blizzard never said everyone enjoys doing it multiple times, they just said "for those who like it". You're the one who decided to try to create drama where there's none.

"Here's chocolate cookies, and also strawberry cookies, for those who like it."
    "You're mistaken, I don't like strawberry cookies."

Dude, it's a cosmetic item, not player power. And it's not a "middle finger" at all, get off your elitist horse. Your character isn't devalued because someone else got the mount or raid achievement much, much later than you did.

You won't ever mount on the thing, 10 minutes when you get it and that will be it. The only nice thing it provides is the dopamine surge when it drops. The lower the %, the larger the dopamine hit. I reallllllly don't care if others get it or not, but I dislike wasting time.

So I will do it one time per day . Thats clear
