Additional Resurrections for Hardcore Deaths due to DDoS - April 10

  • Blizzard Customer Support cannot assist with issues related to characters who have died on Hardcore realms.

Please do not contact Blizzard Customer Support with any inquiries regarding character deaths on Hardcore realms.

Streamer privilege? Is that what I'm supposed to say?

I am glad these players can get their toons back. I strongly believe inflexibility in THIS situation would have been a victory for the DDOSers.

While I somewhat agree with the premise of "no resurrections no matter what", not doing anything in this case would have given out the message that you can just DDoS their servers and ruin peoples fun.

I think resurrecting everyone who suffered from it was the right choice.

I think it could still be hardcore if they gave them more than one life.

I kinda understand cause quite honestly streamer or not ddos is gonna fuck the hard core crowd no matter what which means a group of assholes can just ruin the hardcore servers just in general whenever they feel like it.

But I also agree part of hardcore is well shit happens too bad so sad. Personally I think hardcore should get a once per account shit happens reset. Only works if they died via DC and when you do it once that's it too bad

The true victory of the DDOS-ers is the wailing and gnashing of teeth from HC streamers.

That this makes hardcore a bit more "hardcore" for some people than for others (Undermining the whole concept of the thing) is just the cherry on top, i'm guessing.

    Room temperature iq takes

To make it a laughing stock you would have to let yourself be the repeated victim of DDOS attacks and not do anything to your players that died because of it.

THAT would have made hardcore a laughing stock.

And this is why "hardcore" in an online game is stupid. Losing hundreds of hours of progress because of a network hiccup or d/c? lmao
