We’re turning things up a notch during The War Within Season 2 with increased rewards and improvements to help you gear up your Warband with what we call Turbo Boost.

During this event, Hero and Myth upgrade tracks will extend 2 upgrades (from 6 to 8), the cap for Crests is lifted, and Valorstones become Warbound for the remainder of the season. Mythic+ drop rates for Warband until Equipped gear are also being doubled.

New Weekly Quest

Take up a new weekly quest to defeat 4 raid bosses from Liberation of Undermine. Earn 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips upon the first completion of the quest, and one chip per week for subsequent weeks, with a maximum of 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips earnable per character.

Raid Gear Vendor

Visit Consultant Wrexxle in Dornogal located near the Great Vault to purchase a select group of carefully curated items from the Liberation of Undermine raid such as weapons, trinkets and other special items. Each item can be purchased with 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips. Players can purchase Mythic and Heroic gear but will require the associated boss to have been defeated at least once in any difficulty to purchase Hero track gear and at least once in Mythic difficulty to purchase Myth track gear.

Delve Improvements

Get a leg up on adventure with a boost to Brann’s experience, Delver’s Journey progress, and improvements to rewards from the Delver’s Bounty.

Delver’s Journey progress earned per week is significantly increased from Bountiful Coffers, Hidden Troves, Nemesis Strongboxes, and end-of-run grants. You’ll earn more Crests, Valorstones, and an increase to repeatable earnable Crests across Delve tiers.

Profession Update

Recipes crafted with a Spark of Fortune can now be further recrafted or crafted with an Augmentation Matrix, empowering the item up to 6 item levels. These Augmentation Matrices can be purchased at any Enchanting Supply vendor, such as Llande in Dornogal or Syenite at the Crafting Order building in Dornogal.

We’ll see you in Azeroth!

you have to kill the boss on mythic to buy its associated items on myth track with dinars

come on man, that literally just defeats the entire purpose of dinars. they should be like DF S4 dinars where they are just 1/14 and can be upgraded all the way to myth track regardless. i already have the important stuff from heroic because ive been killing bosses on heroic for weeks...

ye they do , u get 1 per week and items cost 3 . the main issue is that in order to buy an item with its associated difficulty track you have to have killed that boss on that difficulty. so for example in order to buy a myth track eye of kezan u need to have already killed mythic gallywix. just entirely defeats the point of dinars

While I agree with you, it basically just becomes "drop protection" rather than drop selection.also encourages buying a run to get access to it...not sure why they didn't just add the ability to fully upgrade from heroic to mythic

So you wont actually get a piece until 13 weeks in assuming you killed the requesite boss. Where did they state this?

yes its in the section "new weekly quest" and "raid gear vendor"

idk man, by the time u can start getting dinar chips crests are uncapped so the season just becomes a meme at that point, its being marketed as a "turbo boost" to your gearing yet theyre being stingy with the dinars. i dont see any harm in doing it like they did in DF S4 especially that late into a season

It only sells heroic and myth track.

Heroic track requires killing the boss on any difficulty, even lfr. Myth track requires killing it on mythic.

6 week time gating for people to get 2 heroic track items is garbage, I wouldn't even bother with this shit unless you're a mythic raider and have the requirements for what you want already. Also if the requirements are not warbound this is dog shit for alts as well.

I mean its better than 16 weeks but not much especially given the further restrictions.

You're getting them at roughly the same time you would have gotten them under their original plan. So no, not really better. They shouldn't even bother, this shit sounds useful for the guilds who will clear CE late in the tier and not have enough time to farm all the gear they need. That's a pretty big niche it's actually useful for. Not that useful for the guilds who will be farming this loot for weeks and not that useful for the people not able to clear mythic raid unless they have bad M+ vault luck on trinkets.

This is genuinely perplexing, they are going to get raked over the coals by influencers.

What was wrong with S4 of DF for these? It was amazingly fun

Still won't get me to play Retail except for getting a Dinar for trophy's sake

Dinars are functionally useless to me with this choice. What a bummer. The Dragontown iteration was a really nice way for people to get a couple upgrades they'd never otherwise see, and since it was pretty heavily restricted both by the items available and the acquisition rate of dinars, it didn't feel OP or unfair. And it made people excited to play and earn them, so a win for Blizzard, too!

I don't really understand why they'd walk it back to something like this which is basically just bad luck protection instead of a fun treat.

Well, it will be a real boon for guilds selling raid carries, I guess. Those people benefit.

Honestly, I think this is entirely fair if it was letting people buy mythic track. It would be a bit of a fuck you to mythic raiders if it was letting all the rest of us jump in quickly to a lot of mythic gear. Having it be a couple pieces, and having them be slowly earned is entirely reasonable for a reward of that level.

Except it isn't a reward of that level so just a big thumbs down all around.

Yup. Basically money making scheme. Force everyday people to buy a run with gold. They buy gold tokens. Easy money.

I suspect that most of the people who raid mythic with any degree of commitment do not give a shit 13 weeks into the season. More over even if its true why do their feelings count again? Concern for the feelings of an incredible minority of players, a theoretical group at that, by offering crumbs to everyone else is awful. P

yeah i know that , i just disagree with the decision to make it like that. theyre uncapping crests and "turbo boosting" gearing at the same time so in my opinion dinars should follow suit
