We’re turning things up a notch during The War Within Season 2 with increased rewards and improvements to help you gear up your Warband with what we call Turbo Boost.

During this event, Hero and Myth upgrade tracks will extend 2 upgrades (from 6 to 8), the cap for Crests is lifted, and Valorstones become Warbound for the remainder of the season. Mythic+ drop rates for Warband until Equipped gear are also being doubled.

New Weekly Quest

Take up a new weekly quest to defeat 4 raid bosses from Liberation of Undermine. Earn 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips upon the first completion of the quest, and one chip per week for subsequent weeks, with a maximum of 9 Puzzling Cartel Chips earnable per character.

Raid Gear Vendor

Visit Consultant Wrexxle in Dornogal located near the Great Vault to purchase a select group of carefully curated items from the Liberation of Undermine raid such as weapons, trinkets and other special items. Each item can be purchased with 3 Puzzling Cartel Chips. Players can purchase Mythic and Heroic gear but will require the associated boss to have been defeated at least once in any difficulty to purchase Hero track gear and at least once in Mythic difficulty to purchase Myth track gear.

Delve Improvements

Get a leg up on adventure with a boost to Brann’s experience, Delver’s Journey progress, and improvements to rewards from the Delver’s Bounty.

Delver’s Journey progress earned per week is significantly increased from Bountiful Coffers, Hidden Troves, Nemesis Strongboxes, and end-of-run grants. You’ll earn more Crests, Valorstones, and an increase to repeatable earnable Crests across Delve tiers.

Profession Update

Recipes crafted with a Spark of Fortune can now be further recrafted or crafted with an Augmentation Matrix, empowering the item up to 6 item levels. These Augmentation Matrices can be purchased at any Enchanting Supply vendor, such as Llande in Dornogal or Syenite at the Crafting Order building in Dornogal.

We’ll see you in Azeroth!

Pretty much bait and switch since they originally advertised them as dinars.

With how they are stated currently they should remain like that during the first month of content, then after that the track restrictions should lift. Since we're way past that it's just an asinine implementation.

Well if they get another backlash thingy they'll remove the mythic restriction come 13th of May.

Ok blizzard...if you dont wanna give us m+ players raid myth track trinkets than how about giving us dungeon myth track trinkets if we completed +12s or something?
This dinar system only helps unlucky mythic raiders and boost sellers.

There should be a huge backlash, it's just 2 items it's not a fuck you to the effort of mythic raiders at all. 2 Dinars to pick between trinkets, cantrip weapons and the cantrip ring off gallywix. It's not like you can even get every piece you want- you have to choose 2 of the likely 4-5 things that are BIS.

This limitation would make more sense if they where just giving you an item every week for the rest of the season or something, at least then it would be useful for alts. But since its 6 weeks for 2 single items there is no reason to not give everyone myth track. It's absurd.

Well well well, time to get into mythic boosting.

Ok then, what about putting viable trinkets into m+ that are not 10% behind a raid variant IN m+? I have no issue if raid trinkets are strongest in the raid, but having raid trinkets being strongest in m+ (and by quite some margin. Not as bad as previous seasons, but still) with them being not available there is just as bad as putting bis PVP gear into the raid.

Has nothing to do with subs, but it's still garbage as fuck why change it to 3? At least 2 I could understand getting a BIS item guaranteed every week is kinda op (but then again who the fk cares???), but 3 weeks? fuckin huge L, AND that you have to kill the mythic boss to unlock his loot to buy? Stacking them Ls

It's like Blizz said, "fine fine we'll cave and give you Dinars, but also fuck all of you"

come on man, that literally just defeats the entire purpose of dinars. they should be like DF S4 dinars where they are just 1/14 and can be upgraded all the way to myth track regardless. i already have the important stuff from heroic because ive been killing bosses on heroic for weeks...
I've been killing Heroic bosses for weeks and have yet to get everything I need. Still missing Jastor Diamond, and maybe two or so other BIS so this will be a help to me.

I'm just wondering if this will be warband enabled. Probably not, but if I killed it all Heroic on my main, can ALL my toons buy Heroic gear?

It doesn't defeat the purpose at all. If your guild managed to take down the boss once, and like ten people in your guild want that trinket, then you get a choice: manage to keep killing him on mythic and hope you beat out your guild mates or buy it. There are some seasons I want a specific ring and for weeks, between first kill and last, I never win it because everyone else is rolling on it. This helps that.

Very Rare raid drops will be "fun extra" they said....
This is a bit like finding out Santa isn't real.

    Thanks Blizzard

Just playing devil's advocate here, but if we wouldn't have whined that the dinars were so deep into the renown track, we could've kept the dinars at the way they would have been, like Dragonflight Season 4, but no, we had to whine.

What are you expecting ? It's in the name. "Turbo BOOST".

As for this event, it will simply be useless as most people who would buy Mythic gear items are players who don't get into Mythic content either because of how hard it is to find 19 players or simply because they're not into raid prog and would rather do M+.

To me, it seems really unlikely that guilds who managed to clear the raid still struggle to gear their members with the weekly chest + the fact they can loot council everything.

I'm not sure this is actually playing devil's advocate since there is nothing to indicate they changed it because people complained, or that if people hadn't that it would have been like it was in DF. I doubt community feedback had anything to do with it, if it did, it likely would have been better not worse. It would be insane for Blizzard to make design decisions vindictively, even by their weird hard-headed stances they like to take sometimes.

I am sure constant community whining gets old to Blizzard (although they should be used to it after decades), but I don't think it is remotely relevant here.

This change to dinars is completely tonedeaf from what players actually liked about the system.

Just do it like DF S4. This gear will be replaced in TWW S3 anyway, so what's the actual harm in letting players have a couple of choice BiS pieces before the end of the season?

Hell, the people who held out for dinars for weapons are pretty much SoL as even crafted gear will be better at 675, let alone 681 with the other changes coming, over any hero track dinar gear.

Wow, all that wait for Dinars just to turn out to be garbage.

Blizzard did clearly originally intend on it being like DF S4.

Sure? I'm not saying otherwise, I'm saying I don't think it's playing devil's advocate to declare that they changed course because people whined too much. For one, because we don't know why they changed it, but two because that would be ridiculously petty and stupid to do so. Blizzard gets stubborn about holding fast to bad decisions, but making stuff bad because people cried too much is not really up their alley.
  1. Armael's Avatar
I'm not saying it's specifically connected as in the change to what item(s) we can get isn't due to the complaining. Just that the complaining removed the original planned DF S4 model from the renown track.

Yep, dogshit and trust Blizzard to be the one to do it...

On another note, Warbound gear still doesn't drop enough for it to be worth it, I'd consider playing the game MORE if I had alts/etc that were 640+ range gear to go help friends raids/etc.
  1. Darknessvamp's Avatar
Wow what an objectively shit system. Wait three weeks to receive the ability to earn one piece of currency a week (doesn't sound like LFR is excluded so there is that) that requires another three weeks to buy a single Heroic version of the thing you want as long as it is part of the select number of items on this vendor. Forget Mythic gear unless you're already clearing it which at this point it's questionable why bother unless you've had extremely bad luck from drops and the vault. Add on there's no mention of the requirements or chips being a Warband unlock and it just gets even worse. Like I'd understand if they made it 'cleared the raid on Heroic' or 'cleared it so many times on normal' to unlock' Myth track gear from the vendor so it became worthwhile as well as looked into changing the Weeky Quest into a weekly boss drop that is like 1/4 of the cartel chip similar to the sparks so clearing the raid weekly guarantees you two chips then it'd be functionally sensible.
