Ethereum Void Reaper Model Updated in Patch 11.1.5
The Ethereum Void Reaper model, granted by using the Infiltrator's Shroud toy, has received a visual update in Patch 11.1.5. This toy, which has a 1-hour cooldown and a 20-minute transformation, now features three newly updated appearances.

Infiltrator's Shroud is one of the hidden toys introduced in The War Within expansion. It's a guaranteed drop from the Ethereum Void Reaper NPC, which has a low chance to spawn when using the Treacherous Transmitter trinket from Nexus-Princess Ky'veza.

Tip: The Ethereum Void Reaper can be looted by the first five players that tag it, making it efficient to farm the toy in a group. Even if the other players don't have the Treacherous Transmitter trinket, they will all be able to loot Infiltrator's Shroud.

Undermine(d) In-Game Cinematic: A New Tomorrow
In this cinematic, we see an Ethereal using one of the updated models while holding the Dark Heart, a pivotal moment that will have significant implications for the story moving forward. Will we see K'aresh and more of the Ethereals in Patch 11.2?

I am expecting that this Toy will give us access to some unique interactions in 11.2 if we do end up going to Karesh. Really looking forward to where the story is going to go.

Pretending a game is "apolitical" just means its politics are so familiar to you that you mistake them for neutral.

Like, seriously, do you think a game called Warcraft is devoid of political perspectives? It's literally about nations clashing, resources being contested, ideologies conflicting, and power being consolidated or overthrown. Every faction has its own history, grievances, and propaganda. The Horde and Alliance aren't just color-coded teams, they're built on themes of colonization, tribalism, nationalism, exile, revolution. That's politics. The way the game frames their conflicts--who gets sympathy, who gets villainized, who gets redemption arcs--is all shaped by worldview.

Gay or nonbinary people getting representation in a video game isn't doing anything to you. They're not taking anything away. They're just being included. Existing, like anyone else. If that feels like a threat to you, it says more about your own discomfort than it does about the game. You're the one choosing to make their presence a problem.

No. what I am choosing is to log onto this game and not deal with drama silly drama where people just have to make known what gender they claim to be and why this game (WoW) does not include everything to revolve around said gender. The way the game is made is fine. Pick a side, horde or alliance, with all their views and represent it. Putting real life politics into the game is absurd. As I am sure many in this game log on to get a break from all that nonsense. Only to be hit in the face again by someone trying to turn this game into their real life issues outside of it. Ridiculous IMO...but that is my opinion. I will leave it at that as I don't want to be infracted or banned.

As I tried to say nicely the first time. That is a YOU problem, not a game problem.

I don’t understand. Do you have a person playing a biologically born male NE warrior in a lovely pink dress tmog coming up to you in game and telling you they identify as a woman?
Or, are you just that insecure that Blizzard giving players an option that gives them a very minor, unobtrusive, and no impact on gameplay way to play somehow ruins your enjoyment of it? Body type 1 and body type 2 really does seem scary to some people, I suppose.
Anyways, we’re in derailing the thread territory now.

It would fit well with us visiting Karesh in the next patch, maybe finishing that part of the game will unlock playable Ethereal for the Midnight Pre-patch. That would be cool.

You are the only one hyper-focusing on something you claim to not want to deal with. Go figure

It should go without saying this thread is not about real-world or identity politics, gender issues, or whatever else the political hot topic du jour happens to be. Let's get the conversation focused back on the new Ethereal models updated in 11.1.5.
