many ppl have over 1000 and even 1100. Even w/o mounts from store.

"Many people" as in about 1-2% of wow players many people? I dare say the VAST majority of players do not have 600+ mounts lol

You cannot make this up:

New Mount achievements are on the team's radar, they want to make sure that they have a reward that feels worthwhile, not just another recolor. Lately all of their prestigious mounts have been going to other activities, but they'll find something soon.

500: Spectral Ottuk, reskin of the other Ottuk mounts
400: Green Alysrazor mount
350: Ice themed Guldan mounts
300: MoP Serpents that we've had like 10 of at this point
250: Green Ragnaros mount
200: Dragonhawks with Armor
150: Green Kite that at the time only had two other skins (Did they add kites in MoP Remix? I can't remember)
100: Dragonhawks!
50: White Drake

I don't get what you want to tell me with that old list. In a four week old interview Ion said they don't want to add another recolor as mount achievement reward. And today a recolor gets datamined. It's pretty irrelevant if the others were.

Well guys...guess the way this thread is going, Blizzard won't bother with mount rewards anymore. Though I would have liked them to throw in a unique mount to hear how that is also shit and fails.

Too easy… they should have added was more considering they‘re pushing mounts like sweets at a carnival parade.

Well, I guess we have to clairffy terms. 1-2% of say 7 Million would be 70,000 people. 70,000-140,000 could be considered "many people" Since they didn't say "many of the players", we can call it technically correct?

Overall I agree, I don't think even 25% of the player base has over 700 mounts.

I recall Ion stating in a fairly recent interview that they were looking into creating more unique mounts for mount collection achievement. Seems an odd choice to then have the next achievement be a recolor of a fairly recent raid mount drop.

This isn't even a bad mount per se, but I was expecting more than a single achievement to be added considered the mount counts dedicated collectors have reached by now.

I have 953 mounts on my paladin (I assume the class with most exclusives?) and 1008 total
