I really wish they're going to implement a way to export builds for those who don't want to start from scratch and just want to change things here and there on an already built home.

Any items that don't exist in the importer's inventory can just be left empty.

Or better yet: allow players to sell house projects on AH! That would be awesome for people who are really into housing, could earn them some nice goldies.

I haven't followed it closely, but I envisioned it to be phased like our garrisons. But there being 55 plots per neighborhood that can be unavailable sounds like it's not phased. I'm assuming it doesn't mean after all plots are claimed, no more houses for anyone. How does that work if it's known?

Neighbourhoods are instances; and theoretically there's no limit of those. Each has the same number of available plots. Some are public, some can be "owned" by guilds/communities.

I really hope that all these housing decorations are not just for looks. For housing to actually be useful we need decorations that actually do things like crafting tables, buffs, or be interactive.

That's pretty cool. If the instanced neighborhoods are persistent--which seems certain for guild and charter neighborhoods so likely extends to public--it will be quite a different experience than the garrisons.

Buying your plot is free, moving your house is free, there are about 2300 decor items obtainable through vendors, achievements, and crafting.

So far there are only 19 decor items created for the cash shop: two plushies, some cherry blossom themed objects, and some garden gnome themed objects.

Have you missed all the posts over the last decade? Obviously everyone knows that only the really good looking things come from the cash shop.

Some objects do operate as forges/cooking fires. As for buffs, that is something than many proponents of housing vehemently oppose.

I hope we get a similar experience with housing as we get in ESO. Housing in ESO is really fun. Is a grind, but is a fun activity.
Other than that, I don't think is going to actually usefull for anything other than....having it.

For those wondering what the point even is of housing, when it doesn't do anything, and it's just pretty to look at, and it's better to spend time to actually doing stuff in game, like raids or M+ or PvP.

Housing is not so much for looking at, but for DOING.

Decorating, changing decorations, thinking about future build plans, getting decor, getting lumber and crafting decor, housing is an ACTIVITY.

And just like many other activities in game, you can spend as much or as little time on it as you feel like (and the results of what you get from the activity is also based on time spent on it and innate ability, AND you can get better at it with practice and by looking at what other people are doing).

I can't even imagine being this mad about the concept of being sold something in a video game. Like, go outside, look at how much money we're forced to spend on shit we actually need to survive, quit whinging because you can't have a couple of pixels arranged to look like a garden gnome for free.

Hyped to make my house out of only the things I've unlocked in game in ~36 hours!

That's already in, and has been in for quite a while. You can import/export houses(I think on a room-by-room basis, but don't quote me on that)

I'm pretty apathetic on housing as a whole, but these are very excellent ideas that Blizz should listen to.

I visit my garrisons daily. They're still a source of income.

actualy seems like YOU forget... issue with garrisons never was they were useless, actualy more like they were TOO USEFUL, as much as there was little reason to ever leave them

Right... and you are naïve enough to think its going to stop there? We all told you this when they started selling the sparkle pony, you've been around here 15 years right... you cant possibly be this stupid. We warned you with the pony it was a slippery slop Blizzard wouldn't stop... "oh but they wont sell pets"... "oh but they wouldn't sell appearances".... "this is just a 1 off thing guys, don't worry"..... "surely they wont sell level boosts".... "oh but they definitely wouldn't sell gold"...At this point in retail they might as well just sell raid gear in the cash shop and cut out the middle man.....

In an expansion in which one of the MAIN FEATURES they expect you to fork over even MORE money besides the expansion price and monthly sub for the SOLE PURPOSE of being able to have everything in said core feature is fucking insane.... now.. you wanna be the Whale Within? That's fine, that's your money, you earned it (I assume) you spend it however you see fit. But a constantly growing number of players are ditching retail, or Blizzard altogether over this nonsense,

The mounts/pets/xmogs were bad enough, but this is now core features of an expansion that are being exploited for microtransactions.... what's next expansion? paying per raid? 15.99 to unlock the epic versions of dungeons?
