The Exiled World of Outland

Unite against the Burning Legion! Champions level 60 or higher, join fellow heroes and rally together to confront the formidable forces of the Burning Legion. Adventure across the shattered skies and torn lands of Outland, an exiled world fraught with peril and mystery, as you strive to protect Azeroth from destruction.

Playable Races: Blood Elves and Draenei

Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition introduces two new playable races to World of Warcraft. Get ready to harness new powers as Draenei and Blood Elves and explore an Azeroth untouched by the world-breaking Cataclysm during the Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition Pre-Patch Update, before you prepare to enter the Dark Portal and cross over into Outland.

The Blood Elves and Draenei enrich the game's lore and offer players unique racial abilities and new areas to explore.

Blood Elf

Devastated by the Burning Legion's past invasion, these vengeful outsiders offer their aid to Azeroth's factions off-world in Outland. Survivors of the Burning Legion's devastating invasion during the Third War, the powerful Blood Elves seek revenge on the demonic invaders who slaughtered their people and corrupted their beloved font of power, the Sunwell.

Blood Elves can take up the fight as Mages, Hunters, Rogues, Priests, Warlocks, and a class previously exclusive to the Alliance, Paladins.

Draenei

Exiled from their home world and pursued across the cosmos by the Burning Legion, these gifted renegades arrived on Azeroth to join the Alliance and end their Fel-touched enemies once and for all.

Draenei can take up the fight as Warriors, Paladins, Priests, Mages, Hunters, and a class new to the Alliance, the Shaman. Draenei characters also get an edge on the new Jewelcrafting profession with Gem Cutting. This passive increases their Jewelcrafting skill so they can make rings and neck pieces, along with gems that can be socketed into gear to make it more powerful.

January 13: Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) Standalone Available

There comes a time in every hero’s journey when they need a helping hand—kick off your adventure through the Dark Portal and jump straight to the fight against the Burning Legion with a Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary).

The Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) available in the Outland Epic Pack, will be available as a standalone purchase on January 13. Instantly boost your characters to level 58, so they’re prepared to join the fight in WoW®: Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition, and for the adventures in Outland!

Blood Elf and Draenei characters can also use the Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) in the rally against the Burning Legion.

The Level 58 Character Boost (Anniversary) is only available for use on WoW® Classic Anniversary realm characters and on the WoW® game account for which it was purchased or redeemed as a gift.

February 19: Three Challenging Raids Unlock

Dive into the three challenging Raids unlocking at 3:00 pm PST on February 19.

Karazhan

The decrepit tower of Karazhan once housed one of the greatest powers Azeroth has ever known: the sorcerer Medivh. Since his death, a terrible curse has pervaded the tower and the surrounding lands. The spirits of nobles from nearby Darkshire reportedly walk its halls, suffering a fate worse than death for their curiosity.

More dangerous spirits wait within Medivh's study, for it was there that he summoned demonic entities to do his bidding. However, the brave and foolish are still relentlessly drawn to Karazhan, tempted by rumors of unspeakable secrets and powerful treasures.

Gruul's Lair

Gruul the Dragonkiller is worshipped as a deity by the ogres of Blade's Edge Mountains. His powerful sons ravage both the spires of their home and the plains of Nagrand. Gruul's unparalleled strength and experience in battle would pose a serious threat if he ever chose to attack Horde or Alliance forces in Outland.

Magtheridon's Lair

Magtheridon, former lord of Outland, has been imprisoned in the citadel by Illidan Stormrage and now looks to reclaim Outland as his own. Gather fellow defenders to bring him down, once and for all.

February 17: PvP Arena Season 1 Begins

Are you ready to rumble? Burning Crusade PvP Arena Season 1 requires the finest combatants in all of Outland to converge and compete in three arenas—Ring of Trials in Nagrand, the Circle of Blood in Blade’s Edge Mountains, and the Ruins of Lordaeron above Undercity.

PvP Season 1 begins on February 17 with each region’s weekly content reset.

Up for grabs are gear, mounts, title rewards, and most importantly—immortal glory. Step into the arena, champion, and test your mettle.

There will not be a ranking system associated with the honor system, so you won’t need to worry about keeping a rank or standing. Players still interested in ranking up by battling others can participate in the Arena system.

Take to the Skies on Flying Mounts

Players can now hop into the saddle of a flying mount, granting access to the most remote and dangerous regions of Outland. This new mode of transportation opens previously unreachable areas, so get out there and explore the heights and lows of Azeroth.

A New Profession: Jewelcrafting

Craft rings, amulets, trinkets, healing statues, and gems to augment your gear. To learn Jewelcrafting, look for the Master Jewelcrafting trainers in Hellfire Peninsula. Heroes of the Horde can learn it from Kalaen at Thrallmar, and champions of the Alliance can learn it from Tatiana at Honor Hold.

Guild Bank

Unlike Burning Crusade Classic, the Anniversary Edition will deliver you and your Guild a place to store all your items and gold to be shared among guildmates, right out the gate.

The Guild Bank is found inside the bank and accessible by clicking on the vault near the bankers. There are eight purchasable tabs with 98 item slots each; unlike regular banks, bags are not needed for these slots. The price for the first tab is 100 gold, and increases for each successive tab.

Players with the appropriate permissions can store items and money for use by the rest of the guild, with the guild master giving different permissions to each tab as needed.

Anniversary Realm to Classic Era Realm Transfers

For those Classic Anniversary players who do not want their characters to continue to WoW: Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary Edition, we will open up free character transfers from Anniversary Realms to Classic Era realms for a limited time starting November 25. This choice to move Classic Anniversary characters to Classic Era realms will last until January 12, 2026.

After January 12, 2026, the transfer option will no longer be available, and you will not be able to transfer your Classic Anniversary characters to Classic Era realms. Any characters remaining on Classic Anniversary realms will continue to Burning Crusade Classic Anniversary.

Heroes who choose to cross the Dark Portal—it is up to you to fight for this shattered world to rid it of evil... or watch its demonic denizens consume everything held dear.

They said it will be available as a stand-alone purchase come pre-patch. Didn't list the price yet though.

You should be able to at the Char select screen by clicking the "Shop" button at the top. Allows me to choose an Era server, transfering from Dreamscythe.

I haven't played Classic WoW in a while and I'm feeling the itch to play the TBC anniversary, though I hate that Midnight is only a month away.

Easiest? You've no idea how hard it is for a lot of people to click the damn cube on Maggy. Mythic Dimensius is a joke in comparison.

    Ok, wait a second.
Blizzard is selling cosmetics for the Burning Crusade classic for: Outland Heroic Pack for $39.99 (cosmetics) and the Outland Epic Pack for $79.99 (cosmetics, Level 58 boost, 1 month game time)....?!?!?
Are you guys crazy?. For some silly cosmetics you are going to burn $40 and $80 bucks?.
No wonder why Blizzard can keep getting away with this over and over again. You guys let Blizzard take your wallet and milk it. This is stupid. Also, this is a new level of addiction, why are you guys playing BC again...you already had BC Classic and the original version, before.

Now I understand why Asmongold never play WoW these days. I bet he is going to make a video making fun of this. How do he call people who pays 80 bucks for a mount...? You guys know it.

Why are you so absessed with what people do with their money? Is this only a thing with WoW for you or do you also check what people buy in shops and tell them how stupid they are? If this is a hobby of yours, I suggest following the LEGO community, where people are willing to spend 1000 dollars on a Death Star "Disk" - IMHO also something that "sane" people don't understand.

I could continue with pretty much every items sold on the Home Shopping channels since the 1970s etc etc and end with Elon Musks Cybertruck. But is zero business of mine.

But in the end.... be grateful...you get "point at people and laugh at them" content by Asmongold etc out of it. Which in the case of Asmongold is especially tragic, as he knows what it is to be pointed and laughed at, when he got attacked for his lifestyle and disclosing why he lived that way (which I found actually a pretty good and insightful video).

Finally: Yeah...you are right. All these things won't stop - unless people buy it. Applies to everything...and we always have a choice not to pay...at least as long as it is essentials like basic foods, water, electricity and shelter.

These days, I would say "How hard it WAS" - 20 years later, people did amazing things in raids that were impossible for us 2005 n00bs. Imagine a hardcore raid in 2005 or the crazy speedruns through MC and BWL etc...

Because our economic system is a shared one. Prices are dependent on what people are willing to spend. People spending absurd amount of money on something impacts the price of said thing and, thus, the ability of other people to buy it.

While this is true, cosmetics for a game are hardly a life necessity. You're not going to die if you cannot afford it because of how much others are willing to pay for it. That's just life.

It doesn't justify calling people who are willing to spend that money crazy or stupid.

Well, it is (also) the "the market dictates the price". In this case, I don't even read into the post I quoted that the poster wanted to buy the service, but is unable, because demand has jacked up the prices.

Other than that - maybe it is my age...but I grew up in a time where we understood that you just cannot have everything. I also learned that I will not ruin myself financially for a status symbol.

And finally about this TBC pricing...from what I get it is about boosts, mounts, possibly cosmetics. Has Blizzard increased the prices to what they "normally" charge?

I mean...I actually understand the poster I quoted first...I totally have the impulse to say "Like wtf..who buyys a boost for a game that they probably played 19 years ago, just to be ready to play raids (that they played 19 years ago) - and even if they didn't...that experience will still be there when you manage to level to 60.

But apparently the convinience and time saved is worth it to some people...so who am I to judge.

I think that we should aim for more than just "life necessity" or be contemped by only "not going to die".

In a virtual paradigm, we could. There is no inherent limitations to what we could have. Blizzard is putting arbitrary limitations to what players can have just so the shareholders can buy themselves a fancy fourth yatch. As players, we should claim for more and we should constantely complain until things get better.

Blizzard has increased the amount of stuff that's unobtainable without wasting absurd amount of money, which is a concern when so much of the game is about collecting stuff.

You are someone impacted by their lack of impulses, so you have every right to judge. Just like you have every right to judge Blizzard for enabling this sort of behaviour. Don't innocent people like this because, if you do, it will never stop getting worst.

    Exactly.
If Blizzard charges 80 bucks and people pay it. They will do it again and again.
The real problem here relies on the fact that people are buying out of pure addiction to the game, and because of that, games are now designed on this pattern....to milk people wallets. We already have enough games like that, example: ESO with their crates, crowns and a big store charged with goods that are virtual. Same thing with FF14.
Why are you guys doing this to yourselves?. Do you really enjoy wasting money like that?. Is a virtual good, you can't even touch it. If this keep up like this, games are going to be more and more designed to be profitable than fun, and with an aim to be more addictive.

Is addiction dude, you are not buying a new Video card or a motherboard. You are buying a virtual good, nothing that you can touch or have any value at all, other than in the game. Just look at the prices right now for Midnight. You guys are getting robbed with those prices. And before you come to me with "It's my money", "I have enough money for that and more"...stop playing stupid. The only one that is getting hurt is yourself. I'm not paying that much for a silly video game. My life is not based on what I do in WoW. And you guys should get help if you are burning money like that for a game, any game that does this kind of predatory practices.

You nailed it, dude. Good to see someone with common sense. I'm starting to believe these guys are 15yo-18yo, if they think they can keep up burning money like that. I would have got a new car, nice clothes or even one of those new cool smart watches, than buying a stupid mount in WoW.

Yea, I play the game because I have been doing that for years, but really...I'm not going to burn money on it, if I have other priorities in life. Is just a game, a hobby, not a job or a life achievement.

You still haven't actually answered the question, though... Why are you obsessed with how others spend their money?

As Just Passing through said, there are a bunch of other hobbies that are just as, or even more expensive. Lego was the example given.

Do you go on Lego forums and tell them they're all addicted and that they're stupid?

Funny you're calling others 15-18 years old when it's you who comes over immature as hell really.

I used those words to emphasize the fact that these cosmetic items for an online computer game are not important at all. I think you know that.

Basically everything you do in life affects others in one way or another. You'd be calling every human being on the planet stupid and crazy.

So here's something I've noticed in my [REDACTED] years on this god forsaken planet.

People like to flaunt. Its ingrained in our culture. "Look at my jewelry, I have MONEY". "Look at my car, I have MONEY". "Look at my house. I have MONEY".

The same can be applied to an online game.

"Look at my THUNDERFURY, BLESSED BLADE OF THE WINDSEEKER"
"Look at my TIER THREE GEAR"
    "Look at this MOUNT"

What I don't get is the people that are OK with "Look at this collection of SHOES" but not ok with "Look at this MOUNT I bought from Blizzard Store" or "Look at this CHARACTER SKIN I bought from Riot". In a lot of predominantly Asian cultures, these store purchases are considered status symbols and a show of personal wealth. Personally, I don't get the whole shoe collecting thing but others do and that's cool. You do you boo.

And then there's the "Why do you care how other people spend their money" angle that people always seem to dance around. That's a talk for a different day though.

Anyways, as someone that's been here subbed since 9/05 I've straight up lost track on how much $ I've thrown at Blizzard, between subs, expansions, services, and the store. And I really don't care how other people spend their $$$ at Blizzard.
