TaliesinAndEvitel had Maria Hamilton and Jay Hwang stop by their stream at the London housing event.


Community
  • The Housing community has been very positive so far, almost a throwback to the early WoW days.
  • People are interacting and being kind, positive, and helping each other out.

Tools and Sharing
  • It'd be very cool if the new housing tools could be utilized in other ways. For example, rather than just phasing in a larger camp during a quest chain, players could work together to actually build it out.
  • The team is currently working on making it safe to share builds with each other. This is the most complicated tech to get right.
  • No plans to be able to revert your house's state right now. You'll need to keep track of your own export strings.

Future Plans
  • Platforms and beams are great, Jay wants more of them because they are like LEGO pieces. Ideally they would be dyeable.
  • The 5000 cap on decor storage will be increased. They started off conservatively to avoid breaking the servers.
  • The team considered adding texture and detail to the bottom of Circular Woolen Rug at first, but then decided against it. Now the bottom is used in many different ways.
  • A square dyeable rug is likely also coming.
  • The team was originally going to add a fence, trees, and other things to the circle rooms. After internal discussions, they removed it and gave players the empty room.

    If they aren't adding placeable transmogs so you can display your fav armors and weapons, then whats even the point. Scrap it and spend the resources on something important. Like getting the addon devs back to keep fixing the game

    I could elaborate for the previous person in conveying that I find Taliesin to be the fakest person to exist and I don't know why people give him any attention.

    Taliesin was actually a pretty awful person towards his old guildmates when he used to play normally. He's extremely rude to people during his streams, and only puts on this fake niceguy persona when he's talking to the developers.

    Honestly, I think the only reason these two are featured so much is that they essentially throw unequivocal support behind the company in everything and ask next to no hard questions. Decent reach + cottonballs from the interviewer is why Blizzard loves them.

    Ah, so we're just posting flat out lies and unsubstantiated bullshit in this thread.

    I have on good authority that Taliesin was a grade school bully who'd routinely give kids wedgies and steal their lunch money. And Evitel runs an underground ferret breeding club that you need a secret password to enter.

    these 2 are the deffinition of toxic positivity, also wile im no assmonshit fan, the way this dude got triggered by him was really pathetic,and i dont get why it was completly brushed off when it came out he literaly beat his wife
