Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength Discovered
The Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength has been discovered! Players can now access the alternate version of the Seat of Knowledge and join the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers.

The first known discovery was made by Saltine, a new World of Warcraft player, who stumbled upon the alternate Seat of Knowledge while investigating the Pearl in the Abyssal Depths. Although the mysterious Pearl has been discussed in the secret finding community and in reddit posts for quite some time, interacting with it was not possible until the Midnight pre-patch.

Requirements
To reach the Pearl of the Abyss, you will need a source of water breathing and an aquatic mount such as a Battle Turtle, Ottuk, Seahorse or Tidestallion. The best consumable for this is the Atomized Salien Slime, available from Al'kubian after a short questline in Azj-Kahet. In addition to providing water breathing, this potion also increases your swim speed from 135% to 152%, making the swim down to the Pearl much more manageable.

  • /way #2255 60.0 66.2 Al'kubian

If you don't want to use Atomized Salien Slime, you can still get to the Pearl. However, an alternative source of water breathing will be needed:

How to access the Seat of Knowledge
Travel to Vashj'ir and locate the Pearl of the Abyss found in the fatigue waters south of the Abyssal Depths.

  • /way #13 26.45 70.60 Safe Location
  • /way #13 26.45 71.67 Pearl

  • Travel to the safe location and from that exact spot, dive straight down into the water and hop on an aquatic mount.
  • Since perfect vertical swimming isn't possible, you may need to make small adjustments while descending to briefly reset fatigue.
  • Once the water shifts from grey to dark blue (as shown in the screenshots above), swim directly to the Pearl.

Important: You must physically touch the Pearl to get teleported to the Seat of Knowledge.

Seat of Knowledge
In this alternate version of the Seat of Knowledge, you'll encounter members of the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers, along with objects representing the secrets that you've uncovered.

Anakron
Players that have solved at least 17 of the secrets listed above can speak with Anakron and choose "I am ready." After a brief roleplay, players join the secretive cabal of the Mind-Seekers, earning the Mind-Seeker Feat of Strength.

When players ask Anakron about oddsight, he responds with the cryptic phrase "...Without a stumble." which may hint at a continuation of Uuna's Secret Storyline.

Jeremy Feasel
Players that have yet to complete at least 17 secrets should consider speaking with Jeremy Feasel to set their Hearthstone to this alternate phase of the Seat of Knowledge.

For this secret you'll need Draenic Water Breathing Elixir
Or, you know, just be a Forsaken and have unlimited underwater breathing. Everyone seems to always forgets this.

Being a druid or warlock (or just having a warlock nearby) would work, too

The way the article was worded made me think you needed the elixir specifically, rather than just being able to swim a long distance

Having fishing with the Kaluak fishing pole in my fishing tool slot makes it easy to forget I have permanent water breathing.

Did this and decided to mop up what remaining secrets I had left to do - turned out it was just the Fel Cycle one.
Also turns out that questline has broken since the transmog updates, the Altar step that requires you to transmog certain items isn't detecting anything for credit.

Figured I'd drop a warning incase anyone else was motivated to finish up by this new addition and starts a lengthy chain only to be cockblocked halfway.

Thanks for the feedback, I completely rewrote the requirements part of the post!

Personally I keep the Legion Legendary fishing pole on me for things where I'll be swimming.

Did that work for you? Because I tried it and it didn't transform me into the fish.

Did you equip it after submerging in water? The Fish transformation doesn't always apply dynamically if you just had the fishing pole equipped before submerging.

The orb that you get after the title in the room "Trophy of Revelations" can be a reference(Easter Egg) to Assassin's Creed: Revelations?

Pays to check the group finder tool, sometimes people put up groups for summoning people to the seat of knowledge.

Set your hearthstone there after you get there.

It's a potential current secret that's being worked on by the secret finding discord.

How the hell someone figured out that the pearl would do this now is beyond me.

Looks like I missed a few secret finds, huh. Wonder if this will all tie back into the rest of the Felcycle secret from a year ago.

The people in the secret finding discord try to borderline break the game to find stuff. If anything, I'm surprised it took as long as it did to find.

Given that it's actually pretty easy to get to and all you need to do is click on it it's not really that surprising. It's also very conspicuous, you can see it almost immediately after heading out of the cave the Vashj'ir portal takes you to after finishing the story there.

Wouldn't be remotely surprised if somebody just habitually swam out and tried interacting with it every patch since it got added.

Maybe one of the secret discord members has an alt logged out next to it specifically in case it was used again? It (or something next to it) was used in a previous secret, right?

Alternatively, can you see/mouse over the pearl from the edge of Vashj'ir? If so just having someone passing by checking on it every patch makes a bit more sense - again following the logic that they think it may be used again and is worth checking.
