Love is in the Air returns from February 9th through the 23rd. This event is based around Valentine's Day, giving players a chance to give and receive gifts throughout Azeroth.

The Love is in the Air world event is right around the corner, and we’re sharing the love this holiday season.

We’ve heard your feedback on the frustrations with X-45 Heartbreaker’s low drop rate and feeling the pressure of having to farm the mount by cycling through as many alts as possible every day. From now on, the first Heart-Shaped Box you receive each day across your Battle.net account will have a greatly increased chance to contain the X-45 Heartbreaker mount.

Any subsequent Heart-Shaped Boxes you earn on your characters after the first each day will drop the mount at the previous, original rate.

Love is in the Air begins on February 6 at 10:00 a.m. PST in all regions. So spritz on your favorite perfume and head to the Shadowfang Keep event dungeon to defeat Apothecary Hummel for your chance at the fantastic flying fuschia fuselage you’ve fancied far too fervently for what seems like forever.

You can queue through the dungeon finder to kill Apothecary Hummel, who drops a Heart-Shaped Box for the first kill of the day. This item can contain:

    wait so the heart shaped box now has a chance to drop all 3? and are they all the same kind of deal where the first open per account has a greater chance?

    The event ends just before the expansion is launched so it kinda makes sense.
    This forum would have a meltdown for "being forced" to pre-order the expansion to be able to use the rewards from the event.

    Collecting is essentially dead. The fun part was 100% everything and that is no longer feasible.

    I love (/s) the use of shadows to try to hide the female blood/void elf model's texture stretching bug they have where the inner thighs merge with the crotch.

    That has been there since TBC.

    There is furnitures in the prepatch vendors.

    Probably follows last years rules:
    Legacy drops, such as the X-45 Heartbreaker, have a much higher chance to drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide). There is a very small chance to receive legacy drops on subsequent attempts made the same day, for players who enjoy running the content on multiple characters.

    New drops, such as the Love Witch's Sweeper, can only drop on your first attempt of the day (WoW account-wide), and will see an increasing chance to drop with each new day that a first attempt is completed.

    There's nothing barring anyone from collecting furniture now though, they even used "players who haven't pre-ordered can still begin their hunt for decor" as a point across the media that covered the pre-patch.

    That aside, it's nice to see new things, but I'll admit it's a bit weird seeing "spring" items added to a holiday that I don't think I've ever seen anyone associate with springtime.

    I got the Sweeper mount and Love Rocket from the same box last year.
