Cataclysm Release, Dalaran Portals, Cataclysm Epic Stats

Is it just me or does Cataclysm gear looks boring statwise? Same stats dodge for haste and that's difference between tank and dps.

Holy paladin raid gear, 359: spirit/crit; spirit/mastery; spirit/crit; spirit/mastery...

No haste? Anywhere? Except on blue gear? Is this fully itemized or still in progress?

It really does... I'm glad and annoyed at the same time... I mean, it was nice to know that you were gemming for the right stuff and had the better gear or whatnot over idiots, and now it seems like there's no difference. I mean, one gem slot per gear item doesn't leave a lot to the imagination.

You are clearly clueless about how large projects work. Things like buying a ton of developers for a month just does not work, since it happens to be so that even the best developers need a good month even to grasp concepts of the project to start outputting some quality stuff that meets the requirements.

"recent beta changes" dont include bugfix notifications, every build fixed quite alot of them, but just because you dont see it on mmo-c main page doesnt mean there arent major bugs getting fixed every day or that there arent any to fix.

That is how Software Development works, some companies release their Release Candidates to the public (Microsoft for example) and some keep them in-house (like Blizzard). Like I said Beta is serving its purpose, although many people seem to be mistaken on what that purpose is.

Also, @Airath: I'm not talking about numb nuts consultants who come for three months and leech some cash. I am talking about proper professionals. It isn't like these issues could not have been foreseen (whatever the exact issues are) and dealt with earlier either. If it is delayed past the "usual" 2 years per expansion pack then that is a failure of sorts for Blizzard and they need to push themselves harder - I'm sure they get paid enough to do so. While yes earlier development (Vanilla, etc) took a long time, lets not forget that Blizzard weren't in such a healthy position cash-wise as they are now. They make a LOT of money every month, and it would be good to see at least SOMETHING out of them. I would be perfectly happy if they released the new zones, but it is still slightly disappointing - they aren't changing the game engine ridiculously, it still works the same and most of the "new" stuff is just new iterations of things that have been perfected in Wrath so it should actually be quite easy for new developers to jump on considering most errors are usually just a wrong variable that needs to be moved.

Yes conversion ratios are horrible, however since they're combining Triumph Badges and Frost badges as it stands you can farm heroics as soon as patch goes live and get Justice points capped. Each boss gives 15~16 Justice points and the cap is 4000 so even if you have no Frost or Triumph badges at the moment you will be able to have enough points to buy a piece or two of the 346 gear once you hit 85, Blizz even said so.

I'm very glad you updated us Boub. After having played the PTR and having watched the beta slowly evolve, I was starting to 'lol' at a Nov 2nd release date.

internal build, that is 2-3 weeks ahead of current beta build. there are major bugs for months, yet i dont see them fixed, I dont see how anyone can say that majority of bugs have been fixed, even internally, when in the last months, I have seen fixed maybe 30% of all bugs i have encountered. They wont just magically fix all the bugs in three weeks. Once I see, that major bugs are really going away, then I can be confident, that it might release with only minor, nonessential bugs. Until then, majority of bugs wasnt fixed, not even internally.

Alot of people in here seem to think that people will grab PvP gear for the PvE content. Im pretty sure this is impossible because the PvP season doesnt even start for a month or two after cata release so this gear will be unobtainable before then anyway.

On Topic: I hope archeology is in the pre-cata patch so I have something to level and it will be cool to do while exploring all the changes.

No portals, what a fucking bullshit change so now I need to beg a mage to portal me to SW/IF even though 99% of them are too bloody lazy to spend 20 seconds helping someone out? kinda sucks if it gets delayed was waiting for it to level a worgen priest and I'm bored of WOTLK but it's all good, rather it got delayed and came out better instead of being released and being shit. But no portals? christ, do Blizzard enjoy taking the piss or what? what harm did they do?

In the Gnomeregan event blizzard site, Mekkatorque says that "the chance of any cataclysmic event taking place in the foreseeable future is "less than 12.7%," ".

Could 12.7% be a hint to the american system date of December 7th?!?

Well, since it's not an official release date, there's nothing to really worry about. Besides, there'll be games to keep everyone occupied till then. For example, if you own a PS3, Xbox360 or wii, you can play Call Of Duty: Black OPs & other new games being released in these upcoming months on game consoles before Cataclysm gets released. Patience is a virtue and the longer you wait, the more rewarding it will be once you get a hold of it. <3
