Blizzcon 2010 Opening Ceremony
The Opening Ceremony has concluded! Nothing really awesome-new on the WoW side, the biggest announcement probably was DOTA for Starcraft 2, pictures will be available in a couple of minutes.

Chris Metzen confirmed that all the "big" announcements were made during the opening ceremony.

World of Warcraft
  • The Moonkin Hatchling will be a new Charity Pet just like the Pandaren Monk, it will go on sale in November.
  • Cataclysm will go live at Midnight on December 7th, PST Time. Digital pre-orders will be able to download everything before it goes live to make sure they can play instantly on release day.
  • Information on Patch 4.1 will be revealed during the Raid & Dungeons Panel today.

Diablo 3
  • Demon Hunter new class for Diablo 3! This feature will be playable at Blizzcon. (Class Page / Trailer)
  • PvP Arena Battles for Diablo 3! This feature will be playable at Blizzcon.


DoTA for Starcraft 2
Blizzard just announced DoTA for Starcraft 2. I know it's a WoW website but hey! DoTA!

  • The map will be playable at Blizzcon.
  • The map will be released for free, if you're wondering.

    To put for sale a product with no production costs, and take a portion of the sales and claim it for "charity".... quite an ingenious way to make some cash.

    It's probably the same moonkin model scaled down too.

    You'll be able to play Cataclysm at midnight as long as you preorder from Blizzard and have it downloaded.

    I had to Disable Ad-block for firefox to get it to work aswell. if you have that try it?
