Do you get both Moonkins for the price of one, and is the type dependent on the faction of your character or are they going to sell them separately? I'm hoping the former.

Damn it, I don't like spending RL money on in game stuff but that moonkin hatchling will be mine... :P

You pay $15 a month for mounts and companions, as it is.

    Why is this any different?

Paying real currency for in game items is against the ToS... oh wait.

Any ideas on what this years anniversary pet is going to be? I was guessing lil ragnaros would be it but as it turns out it's not.

Lil' Raggy is indeed Lil compared to his real model in Molten Core.

That was my reason for buying these too..

A little pile of poop that follows you around. Or just stays where you summoned it.

    One can hope.

People pay for lots of totally unnecessary bullshit in real life, because they have (what is perceived by them as) disposable income. This is another one of those things. Call it a status symbol, call it a waste of money, call it whatever you want, but this happens every day in and out of WoW.

A WoW subscription itself is a frivolous purchase. A computer for gaming, frivolous. A shiny new car to replace a less-shiny-but-functional car: frivolous. In-game vanity pets: only as frivolous as all of the other shit in this list.

Have you actually read what's being written? 50% of the hatchling and the hatchling ONLY.

You're one of the kind of people that would answer the question of "why did you buy that retarded horse?" with a "half the money goes to charity!". As so many believed because their eyes are in the middle of a freaking black hole called ass.

On topic. Nice looking pets, but as last time, using charity to boost sales is lame.
And hey, new mount incoming in a few months, and more idiots like the above will buy it - thinking half the money will go to charity...

Yes, because "both" can't stand for "both moonkin pets". Have you actually commented without thinking? You're just as stupid as "the kind of people" you criticize in your comment.

How is it "lame" to use charity to boost sales? If you're someone who likes to give to charities like myself, this is like getting a pet for half price since I want the other half to go to charity regardless. I'll definitely be getting the hatchling, and maybe rag too cause he is just badass.

Pretty sure there is only one moonkin pet which changes depending on faction, hence the alliance moonkin with the alliance toon, and the horde moonkin with the horde toon.

I just convince myself that it's basically me going out to eat a few times a week and if I don't do that and instead buy the pets a balance is kept

It always amuses me. :-) Value is down to the individual. If you get some satisfaction from the pet why not treat yourself. If you feel that your values dictate that buying pets ingame is wrong / a waste so be it.

    Each to his own.

Ps: owh and btw jealousy is an ugly yes oh so ugly frame of mind. :]
Pps: stating that the reason for buying is the good cause and solely that is also...well....need i say it.

Re read the post I quoted and come back. If you are able to take the "both" from that sentence into a different context than mine, then you are awesome.

Or is your brain so undeveloped yet to grasp the idea of horde and alliance themed pets?
