Update - Updated the class changes with a couple of fixes/additions. Also, people who bought the Blizzcon Stream should have received the code to redeem Deathy in their mail.

Black Arrow base damage reduced by 35%, from 3685 to 2396.

Holy
  • Holy Radiance's healing effectiveness now diminishes for each player beyond 6 within the area.

Retribution
  • Seal of Truth now scales from 9.65% of Spell Power / Attack Power, down from 12.85%. Now deals 9% weapon damage when stacked 5 times, down from 15%.

Priest (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Holy

Discipline
  • Power Word: Barrier duration reduced to 10 sec, down from 25 sec. No longer absorbs a given amount of damage, now reduces all damage done to friendly targets by 30%. While within the barrier, spellcasting will not be interrupted by damage.
  • Divine Aegis now also procs from all heals from Prayer of Healing.
  • Grace now increases all healing received from the Priest by 4/8%, up from 2/4%.

Rogue (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Combat
  • Backstab now deals 200% weapon damage, up from 150% weapon damage. Additional base damage increased by 33%, from 518 to 690.

Shaman (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Restoration
  • Healing Rain's healing effectiveness now diminishes for each player beyond 6 within the area.

Warlock (Forums / Cataclysm Talent Calculator / Beta Skills/Talents)
Destruction
  • Nether Protection now procs from damage absorption from all wards instead of just Nether Ward. When you absorb damage through Shadow Ward, Nether Ward or other effects, you gain Nether Protection, reducing all damage by that spell school by 15/30% for 12 sec.

Fury
  • Heroic Leap now deals [ 50% Attack Power ] damage (up from 100% Weapon damage) within 8 yards (up from 5 yards) but no longer stuns.
    Slam additional damage has been increased by 25%, from 430 to 538.

Glyphs
  • Bloody Healing now increases healing from Bloodthirst by 40%, down from 100%.


Cataclysm Paid Faction and Race Changes

With two new playable races just on the horizon, many players have been asking when they'll be able to convert their existing characters into goblins or worgen. Paid faction and race changes will be available immediately once Cataclysm is released. Realm First achievements for leveling any class to 85 will be available in Cataclysm. However there will be no Realm First achievements associated with leveling characters of a specific race.

There will be a slight change to the way paid services work for goblins and worgen. Goblin and worgen characters wishing to change race or faction cannot be in Lost Isles or Gilneas; they must be elsewhere to initiate the process. There are no restrictions on race/faction change to goblin or worgen.

Battle.net Dial-in Authenticator Now Available

    AWESOME news about the Worgen changes. I was almost positive that was what they were going to do with the changes they made to the realm first crap, but it is really nice to see it.

    Troll druids look like flying monkeys rather than bats to me. I will have to hum "Follow the Yellow Brick Road" as I kill them.

    Lil' Ragy is a total badass, I will definitely be getting one of those! Prob the moonkin as well, depending on the charity, even if I think it looks weird with the way they made it.

    and I am shaking my head at yet another unneeded Ret nerf, when their DPS is already lackluster at best. No utility, no more Damage Output then a wet sponge... sad, sad, sad.

    I got this email too, but it seems to be scam. The link in it directs to some weird address ending with netcraft.co.il/...

    That just cant be right.

    That's exactly what I thought, but the email worked. I got mine. I just made sure not to click the strange link. Go STRAIGHT to your account on the site manually, just in case.

    aaahhh troll flight form - KILL IT WITH FIRE. It just looks strange - I like the idea of their flight form looking kind of like bats, but the faces just disturb me some how, perhaps it's the fact that their faces look like shrunken troll heads - although I guess that kind of works for trolls, them and their crazy voodoo.

    Is this code for Deathy being emailed from Blizzard or DirectTV? I have yet to receive mine and I'm worried that my spam filter might have accidentally picked it up; what happened to them actually mailing it? Wasn't it suppose to take 6-8 weeks?

    that is the most hideous model ever. I can't believe they just reskinned the already horrible bat model with something equally horrible... look at what poor quality it is compared to the other flight forms too...

    Or actually Druid flight form is very different from other mounts by the fact that it is unfairly instant forcing people to use that ugly ass bat form when it counts for something.     Or you could have more than three brain cells to rub together and use the instant cast flight form when you don't give a shit about how you look - falling off a high place and mindlessly grinding herbs, the only two real instances where flight form is better than a mount (there are certain quest items you can pick up while in flight form as well, so there's three). If you're sitting idle around Orgrimmar wanting to look cool and aloof or flying to a zone or instance when no summons/taxi is available you can use a mount. I know that 1.3 second cast time is just an unbearably long wait, sweetums, but I have faith.

    Dunno if it has been asked before but can someone please explain to me what bats got to do with trolls? Judging by how cat and bear forms look like I would say a parrot or something would be more suited this is just ugly. If anything a bat would be more suited for a worgen than a troll.
