If that music played any time you mounted that lion I would buy it in a SECOND.

Question - is the sound of the lion flying that of a gryphon, or a windrider, or something different? I like the animation on my steed but I eventually had to get an addon to silence the odd tinny echo flapping sound effect as it grated on my nerves after a while.

I can't help but to laugh at there always being such epic music for the mount videos. The Rugrats theme fits much better.

Looks actually quite nice when animated. But 25$ is too expensive for my taste.

I think alot of ppl see where WOW is going atm. I just hope they realise that there are new and fresh ideas going on in other games and many of those games have a really strong crews of designers that will take the genre forward. BLizzard WOW team is now... not even the second best...

For me TRION could be making one of the gems of the MMO world atm. If they handle things correctly - they will be able to evolve RIFT into exactly what WOW devs ignored. But They still need to improve quite a few things.

I love RIft atm. Its like beeing back in Vanilla where everyone is learning... not reading on websites what you are supposed to do..

It's the same team. They've just learned from their mistakes.

The mount is nice, but not a case of beer nice, or a couple bar shirts nice, or a weeks worth of food nice. The golden flying effect is annoying and will burn your eyes. Also, coming soon to Blizzard Store: Armour that doesn't look like crap to wear in game! Much nicer than the tier sets that are in game now.

They need to put this in the store like right now. I've been waiting a while for it already.

I know some people get all huffy about people who say this - the whole "If you like a mount it shouldn't matter how many other people have it" arguement. But part of the appeal of these mount is that they "look awesome". Things lose the ability to "look awesome" when they are very commonplace - people were awestruck by the cinema, TV sets, washing machines and, more recently. 3D movies. People would gather round rich peoples' windows and peer in at TV sets when they first came out because they were so amazing. Now they are so common place that we give a new TV set about as much admiration as we might give a new coat or a new pair of socks. Same thing with the celestial steed and, I suspect, with this mount. It looks amazing in this vid - flying solo through SW, but if that video was the thing flying through SW and passing by about 30-40 other people on identical mounts it would suddenly look a bit ridiculous.

So I'll probably pass - and if you buy it, more power to you. Maybe you are a bit less shallow than me. Or maybe a bit more, I'm not sure.

I just wish they would make a new new set of mounts that were cool and that I could work for on my own. My guild is kinda crap at killing final bosses in raid tiers and my ability to make gold is pathetic - and I'm getting bored of my netherdrakes.

This man speaks the truth, my guess is EVERYONE will be on this the day its released and then after that nowhere because no one wants to be on a commonplace mount. Thats why you almost never see regular faction ground mounts unless its a new toon getting leveled. This mount should have been a guild reward or an achievement reward or something else if they wanted to keep its appeal. Dont get me wrong this is a cash cow for blizzard and very smart on their part letting all of us suckers buy it.

How do you get a mount to do a loop like that one does in the video? Is this new?
