The great staff duplicates destructive magics, and also bestows upon its wielder the ability to transform into a member of the Blue Dragonflight.

Also, please keep in mind that some items on the PTR are still considered "works-in-progress," so certain aspects of their design -- including stats, on-use abilities, and appearance -- may change before the next patch goes live. :)

Oh! And just to clarify (since I saw this asked in another thread), Dragonwrath will not be BoE.

The Druid Tier 12 files are partially in this patch and I had enough to do a small preview.


  • The gloves are slightly bugged and will look a little weird.
  • The shoulders aren't in the game files yet.

    Hmm ... gonna be intresting to see how many tanks and healers will be intresting in Cata for the next 8 months... Seems like Blizzard thinks there is plenty of them around so they focus on DPS staff...

    you're not seriously thinking that this is the final draft of the legendary + stats + procs?

    reminder: the official preview explicitly stated that you could "USE:" the staff to turn into a blue dragon... that isn't finished on there either

    so...relax and wait for the remaining patchnotes / builds :P

    Hmm. Thinking that this is not final. There is the same amount of Hit and Spell Power on the final two, and no proc. Still looks nice though.

    I'm sorry, with 3 Red Sockets and that socket bonus, my JC Resto Sham will gladly take some hit (can reforge some to spirit) for a 171 Int bonus :-D

    The proc hasn't been datamined for it yet or it simply hasn't been added to the game files at this point.

    I am happy that I got pretty damn close a few months ago when I estimated the staffs stats.

    I Think I calculated it at a lower level though. didn't expect the 404 item level.
