Patch 4.2 - PTR Build 14288
A new build is being deployed on test realms. The build isn't a release candidate anymore and is flagged as "Test" but it's already 4 days old and I doubt it will have any impact on the release date of the patch.

Also, the language selection menu is now fully implemented and the game is now available in all localizations just by selecting the language from the menu and restart their game. It it looks like more languages are now available and all languages seem to be fully supported in-game.

Strings
The description of the arena season confirms slightly that the patch is to be expected on June 21st.

Spell Changes
Note: Don't pay attention to the tooltips of druid spells, they're slightly bugged for the moment, just stick to the nice notes below.

Balance
  • Starfire damage has been increased by 23%.
  • Wrath damage has been increased by 23%.

Feral
  • Mangle now deals 540% normal damage plus 302, instead of 530% normal damage plus 315.
  • Rake initial damage on hit now deals the same damage as each periodic tick (and is treated the same for all combat calculations). Periodic damage now gains 14.7% of attack power per tick, up from 12.6%, and base damage per tick has been lowered from 557 to 56. There is a known issue with Rake's tooltip being incorrect from this change will be corrected in a future patch. (Taken from official notes, tooltip bugged)
  • Ravage (Cat) now deals 950% damage plus 532, instead of 975% damage plus 330.
  • Shred now deals 540% damage plus 302, instead of 520% damage plus 330.
  • Savage Roar now increases autoattack damage done by 80%, up from 50%.

It might be a good idea to start a portuguese company that translates games... since no game has portuguese version lol.. Spanish ftw!

Say your Death Knight has 5500 strength, roughly what you can expect end game. Jumping from 5% more STR to 20% is a big friggin' sweet spot. You would jump from 10,450 attack power to 12,540. That's a 2090 AP rise ... not really a little tweak is it?

This has always been their problem. They buff and nerf things by such a huge amount, they never reach a "sweet spot". I can understand if they changes damage by 2-3% to make up for the damage, but not throwing random numbers onto the PTR and seeing how it goes. Now what's happened is that Frost was nerfed too hard and is underpowered, and unholy was buffed too much. So now everyone is speccing Unholy again. If they used smaller increments, these two specs would be pretty damn close. If they had nerfed frost by only 5% and buffed unholy, they would be pretty damn close.

PTR is for me a waste of time, as nothing ever gets balanced there.

so who were the haters that so confidently said yesterday, that 20% Unholy Might wont make it to live?

oh....and they wont nerf it 2 weeks later cause if they would UH will be back to where is now,aka a dead specc for both pvp and pve!

some might consider 20% is to much but is a must considering they nerfed our survivability by a lot,aka selfhealing(read gylph of dark succor)! Before this UH, for pvp, was intended to be a specc with sustained damage ,decent survivability and some control (ofc if you know to micromanage your pet) till you get the opportunity to score the kill, but when survivability went down by a lot damage must go high to compensate!

    ...so working as intended!

Can we finally see any fire mage single target buff? AFAIR Blizz said they will do so
if ignite change will couse dps loss. And it did. WTB bring back ignite proc from periodic
damage from pre 4.1 or leave as is but place any buff to current spells.

    /agree

PTRs only are there only to lower the life time of the new content of the patch.

Nope as long as they're not doing the same for frost.

    @VanishO2

PTRs are here so world first nolifers can become VIPs ( no envy srsly,I wouldn't take that popularity even if it was handed to me for free)

Frost will definately be damage buffed soon after the ptr hits live! Problem with frost was that it recived the damage buff before they nerfed selfhealing, but tbh I'm still worried about its future pvp viability since,of all 3 specs, was the 1 with the lowest survivability and now will be trained down with no effort!!

Are these language options a possible precursor to cross-continental char/account transfers? Would be sweet.

That was the first thought that crossed my mind when I saw this as well. Here's hoping cuz I would love to have a toon on a EU server.
