I just can't see this being a WOW expansion :/ Maybe it's some sort of diversion... Maybe it's a joke... maybe it's something not directly related to WOW. I dunno what it is but until it's officially announced as an expansion I just can't get my brain to believe this could be some sort of wow expansion.

Hm ... That title doesn't say much about content, I guess. Pandaria as a continent (or island?) doesn't have that much lore attached to it, from what I understand. If we'd be going around all of the Southern seas, why should they call it Mists of Pandaria? Hm ... For myself, the expansion will really depend a lot on the stuff they do besides introducing some cute panda-like humanoids for us as a (potential) new playable race.

I am not sure what you are talking about in your first sentence. Not trying to be a grammar natzi or anything, but to me, it doesn't make any sense.

But I don't think it would be useless at all. There are PLENTY of wc3 fans out there that like that RTS better, or like the theme of the RTS better, or whatever, that would gladly buy it. Money-making definitely. Plus I think there are people who wish to experience a warcraft story in a non-mmo format.

How would this be fighting themselves on the market? SC2 Is not a subscription-based game so the only opportunity cost there would be people who have not YET bought SC2 that WILL buy SC2, but would instead buy WC4.

An expansion based on nothing more than a joke character with no lore or reason to exist other than being a fan favorite/weird meme? Sounds perfectly plausible to me, actually.

I hope it is a Warcraft 4: Mists of Pandaria instead of an expansion, I'd enjoy having a new Warcraft RTS, seeing as Starcraft takes place in a futuristic theme and I prefer the middle-earth/fantasy type.

No freaking pandas until they do Demon Hunters!

why are ppl saying they doubt pandarans will not be playable... they made goblins playable.. notorious for being neutral. the real question is what would the opposite race be or would they be playable by both factions?

Has anyone thought that this could be a new class? Maybe introducing Monks? and the expansion will include the Panderan race, but not playable, and maybe we have to save the species from some threat or something? I have no idea.

Huh. Well, that's.... strange. I can think of several directions this could be going in, both for the good and the bad, but there really isn't enough information to draw any kind of reasonable conclusion from yet. If this is an expansion, it'd be a very good idea to withhold judgment until more concrete details emerge, because out of context, it just seems incredibly bizarre. I'm sure there's an explanation (though I won't deign to predict its quality).
