Update - For the record, the international codes 009 and 041 only seems to appear on Blizzard's online games trademarks. This isn't a book or anything like that. It appears incredibly likely based on previous trademarks obtained by Blizzard that this is the next expansion.

Mists of Pandaria
Blizzard just trademarked a very interesting "Mists of Pandaria".

I agree, if this is the new xpack, I highly doubt pandas will be playable. Aside from alternating between races, hero calss, races, hero ect, for each xpack, I find it odd that they'd name an xpack after a playable race. After all, it's not WoW: Eye of the Dranei, or WoW: Wrath of the Worgen. It wouldn't make sense.

I think this is a south seas expansion with azshara as the big bad villian. The title could just denote importance of the mist surrounding the island that is pandaria.

...if you really think the marketing department cares about Metzin? He's not part of their department. Yeah, that sounds odd - but this is blizz marketing. Metzen may suggest something cool, but Blizz marketing will tell him "no" if they feel it's not worth it. I do NOT believe, at all, that he has 100% control in what gets made or not. In story - yes. In product - no.

I'm certain that's how the expansions are made too. When the Bloodelves joined the Horde and the Alliance got Draenei, I'm sure it was the dev team walking up to Metzen and telling him "OK - we need a pretty race for the Horde and a big monster race for the Alliance to help balance out the population. Do your lore thing and spin up a believable story."

Also, since when does Metzen get a say on action figures? He is the Story guy, not the product guy. He may have made decisions about the look of the Pandaren, he may have even suggested it - but I'm certain he didn't order it made. He's not part of that department.

    Wonderful.

If this really means that the next expansion of this once glorious and epic game will be about fluffy giant kung-fu pandas, it will be just what I need to finally say goodbye to Activision Blizzard and embrace one of the much more promising MMOs which are about to be released.

Fanboys are obviously free to stay and enjoy the game even until the further expansion, which will probably be all about rainbow-colored little ponys of doom which will be sold and bought for real money at the Auction House...

And obviously they will find it "great", "cool" and "awesome".

    Whatever...

Well, as I said above, it would be cool if the new class WAS a Pandaren Monk. Meaning you can ONLY play a Pandaren as the new class. That would really make it feel much like a "hero class" and not feel like just another "class" added. Sure, other people might say "well, I want to play a gnome monk!" But they can save that for the next expansion... :P

Also, Horde/Alliance could have different color schemed Pandaren. White-face, black ears/eyes for Alliance. Black face, white ears and eyes for Horde.

I think it's great to add to the game pandas, but I doubt they take the name of an Expansion
perhaps a patch... 4.2.2 with two new boring instances

I give up on trying to explain to people that think giant bears are not fluffy and adorable.

This is the final time I'll post a reference pic. If you people WANT to be miserable with your little baby visions of the new Xpack, be my guest.

You are naive to think that Blizz has not integrated their departments. You actually think that departments are independent? I assure you that promotions and development are working together, as they are both parts of the marketing process.

Pandarian lore is from Blizzard is a shell at best, so that would need to be developed from scratch. The art is certainly going to need to be developed from nothing, since Pandarian art is a few handful of drawings. Etc etc etc. Titan IS Mists of Pandaria.
You're on crack. Between WC3:TFT and a quest out in the Barrens, Pandaren do have standing in the Warcraft universe, so they're not a new IP, or a new franchise.

It's a WoW expansion. Whatever Titan is, it isn't this.

If I ever start playing this game again, I will be sure to quit before Mists of Pandaria. Way to put the final nail in the coffin.

Oh man! I don't know why you believe so firmly that Mists of Pandaria is Titan. If you do some very simple research with google, you'll see a lot of information about Titan that has NOTHING to do with Pandaria. And what makes you think Pandaria is not a part of any other Blizzard universe? Assuming you haven't played Warcraft 3. Anyways, can't wait for more info to prove you are COMPLETELY wrong! Hopefully this year's Blizzcon!

derp derp. Pandaria is a continent. The title has nothing to do with the end boss being a Panda.

Who says the expansions are released by this imaginary pattern that some people hold as strong evidence? First two expansions brought new continents, cata didn't. With each year Blizzard are developing WoW content faster, so I won't be surprised if they release new races and classes together.
