Update - For the record, the international codes 009 and 041 only seems to appear on Blizzard's online games trademarks. This isn't a book or anything like that. It appears incredibly likely based on previous trademarks obtained by Blizzard that this is the next expansion.

Mists of Pandaria
Blizzard just trademarked a very interesting "Mists of Pandaria".

1.) Durr pandas are bad and you're bad for liking them this isn't a kids game durr
Whats wrong with pandas? The alliance is made up of humans, smaller humans, even smaller humans, chernobyl survivors, space goats, and bipedal british puppies. The horde is cow people, blue jamaicans, yodas with biceps, jewish yodas with no biceps, dead people, and homosexual napolean dynamites that ask for a scrunchy when you type /joke. No one knows how pandaren are doing to be introduced, wheat they'll look like, how they'll fight, nothing at all. I for one am very excited that there might be a race based on Taoism and ancient china. Beautiful architecture, rich culture, and a world renowned fighting style could all be incorporated into Pandaria. Don't knock something because of the name. Draenor isn't full to the brim with Draenei and nothing else. and BT dubs, this game is rated T...for Teen. It's a a game for Teens.

2.) zomg titan or some facebook game!
not titan as stated 90 other times but i thought I'd throw it in there. Titan is not related to wow. Pandaren are related to wow. Ergo, pandaren are not related to titan. Not a facebook game because they marked printed material related to a game as well. how many farmville user manuals or lore books are floating around out there?

3.)China don't like pandas getting facerolled
They don't care at all. warcraft III had plenty of brewmasters dying and china had no problem whatsoever with that

I would love to be able to play a pandaren. I've always wanted to learn more lore about them and see them in game. and to all the people who say "pandaren will be a nail in this games coffin", pandaren have consistently been the most requested playable race ever, so you are vastly outnumbered in this issue haters.

Good day sirs and mabye 1 madam. Good day.

p.s i am aware of my grammatical errors or misplaced words my auto-correct is dumb
    You sir. win 10 intenetz.

On a side note, anyone who "threatens to quit" is full of crap. The same thing happened before:

BC came out: "Oh noez, my 60 purplez will get replaced with greens, Blizzard hates us, im quitting".

Wotlk..."Oh noez, theyre recycling Naxx, a level 60 raid!?!?. Thats so lazy!, Blizzard hates us, im quitting".

Cataclysm..."Oh noez, theyre brining in furry wolfmen to WoW?. Blizzard hates us!, im quitting".

Dont tell me each and every one of you who have threatened to quit are the same people who power level to max level whenever an xpac comes out, the same people who take the game FAR to seriously, and are the same people who know jack all about Warcraft lore.

    Yeah?. Thought so.

    I have a few theories:

    1. We will explore the rest of Azeroth, finding Pandaria among the Southern islands where we will unite with the Pandaren to fight future or current villains or catastrophes.

    2. We will explore the rest of Azeroth including the island of Pandaria, hidden in the mists, where the Pandaren have gone mad. Possibly a small group of ressistents fight the "corrupted" ones to reconquer their island. (Note: Instead of Crazy Pandaren the enemies here could be some other race, example is Naga)

    3. When we go to the Southern Seas we find Pandaria, where the Pandaren have completely disappeared, vanishing from existence. Maybe an old god is dwelling there.

    4. Pandaria can be a whole continent, if not just a small island.

    5. Naga have invaded Pandaria and the rest of the south seas, planning to corrupt residents with the help of the old god, N'Zoth, and being lead by Queen Azshara. (Note: The old god, N'Zoth, is the main villain, while secretly, Azshara is just a tool, a tiny little tool)

    6. Naga have invaded Kalimdor and the Eastern Kingdoms and the Naga of Borean Tundra have succesfully smelted the ice on Northrend, flooding the whole place. We will have to seek protection in the South Seas on boats.

You can say what you will about these theories :P I'm just a fantasy-geek trying to make cool ideas out of the secrets we yet don't know about Some of them might be a little too bad, but theories are theories, and everyone can make them up Besides, I love reading other players' theories.

I would like it as a third faction. They could add these races for Pandarian faction:- Pandaren - Pandas, there isn't much to say about this, it is a Panda like race. - Pandarian Humans - Humans, it is like Night Elfs and Blood Elfs, Pandarian Humans could be like Asians.- Goblins - There are 5 different Goblin Princes, and in Warcraft history they joins Alliance too in a second time, because they are merchants, so why not a possible Pandarian faction, in a next expansion, alliance should have its goblin race too. However Undermine is still missing in World of Warcraft. Goblins could be the link to Pandaria, with the discovery of Undermine in a next Patch, infact Pandaria should be a lost Secret land, and you know Goblins, they are everywhere to make moneys.- Trolls - If a new continent with forests and great vegetation exists, Trolls can't miss in it, they are everywhere like Goblins, and they have several factions like Goblins.- Red Dragons - Red Dragons are of course linked to Pandaria because into the warcraft history they are interested in Pandaria's gems, so they could be a race in a possible Pandaria's faction, to defend Pandaria's land.- Apes - That race is to reach the same number of races, compared to the other 2 factions, Horde and Alliance. I think, at this point, only a third faction or a great evil Villain can save the next expantion to be a "Jump the shark", infact a third faction could be very interesting, with the possibility of new PvP Battlegrounds. Because we are speaking about Pandas, we can unmark the big Villain possibility, so it is better it is a third faction. It is also possible there will not be a new playable race, and the next expansion will be about the Pandaria continent, and a new hero Class, a sort of healing class, something like: Singer Monk, or the Bard, class that could be similar to Death Knights, a Class trained by a Pandarian Monk in a Pandarian Temple, available for all Races.I two new playable races don't fit well for the next expansion, because we just got 2 new races, and of course if a new playable Pandaren will be available not in a third faction, it will go with Alliance because of old links with Night Elfs and that means it will be very bad for Horde, because Alliance just got Worgens. A possibility could be Pandaren for Horde and a Goblin Race for Alliance, this solution doesn't make sense. So, I think it is better a new thing: Third Faction, otherwise I think it will be hard we will see Panadaren in Alliance or Horde, they should be neutral, it is higly probable there will not be a third faction and we will see a new Hero Class trained in Pandaria, it is higly probable an Hero Healing Class (Based on music).

Speculations and scaremongering, just as every time Blizz accidentally leaks some information. This could be anything from a well-planned ahead-of-time April's fool joke, to an expansion, a TCG deck, an ebook, a series of action figures, a lego set, a children's colouring book, a set of coffee mugs, a set of tea cups, a teapot, a coffee pot, notebooks, paperclips, figurines, figures, figurative speech, cigarrettes, cigars, seagulls, Steven Seagal, or even a quest. So why make 60 pages of replies about it? Post your half-assed opinions or not, whatever it is, will stay the way it is, regardless of your agreement, support or opposition.

The trademark is listed as as

    Computer game software; computer game discs; computer game software and related instruction manuals and guides sold together as a unit; downloadable computer game software; computer game software downloadable from a global computer network; downloadable electronic games via the internet and wireless devices; interactive multimedia computer game program;

So it could be nothing that you listed whatsoever apart from an expansion.

Please, if you're gonna attempt to bash people for 60 pages of replies with your subjective derogatory definition of "half-assed opinions", at least read the OP properly and know what you're going on about.

You know, I wouldn't rule out a book to go alongside with the expansion... kinda like The Shattering was with Cataclysm. I can't remember if Arthas came out during or right before Wrath's release too. I'll have to pick up the Thrall one at some point, but a book written about Pandaren that could be released beside Mists of Pandaria (assuming that that's what this is) would be a really interesting read. Well, if you're into that sort of thing. :P

While I certainly couldn't be considered part of the group hopeful enough to believe it to be the case (my view of Activision is pretty much mostly cynical, and 4.2's 'how to milk for a month with dailies' and 7 new boss-in-a-room encounters did nothing to counter that cynicism), I suppose it's possible that a very large patch *could* be trademarked if it added enough new material. I really doubt Blizzard is going to drop an entire new continent on its players mid-expansion though (especially considering that all they've added since release are two reworked dungeons and a raid that is dwarfed by BC's ten man content).

Patches don't get TM'd...plain and simple. And if this was a patch in Cata, then the story would surely take one HELL of a twist.

If panda people make this many people want to quit i'm amazed we still have anybody left after they've put in walrus people, spider people, cow people, dog people, fish people, lobster people, frog people(or whatever the oracles are), dragon people, horse people, bird people, more horse people, different looking cow people goat people, more bird people, brown bear people and polar bear people(much different from panda bear people), snake people, vampires, cat people, tornado people, giant flying metal people, pig people, mammoth people(lol magnataurs), giant floating eyes, rock people, people made of bandaids, people that look like the hindu god shiva, rat people with candles on their heads, elune who i guess is the moon, whatever algalon is made of, squid people, mushroom people, and one of my personal favorites- tree people. they're all fine. its pandas that take it too far.
LOL, Absolutely Agreed... there's nothing wrong with them, but if it's an expansion and they don't become a playable race they will lose the GREAT amount of panda lovers out there...

FAKE. ALWAYS WAS. ALWAYS WILL BE. FAKE.
actually, the "LORE" surrounding the list has never really been proven or disproven. Everything about it, at this point is pure speculation.

Once Blizzard understood that the game would be big, they probably did develop a guideline for the future. That's just good business. And as thus something like them making "A LIST" is highly probable. However, it's the past. It's not cut in stone, it doesn't and they never did have to follow it as gospel truth either.

So yeah, I'd imagine Blizz had a plan for the future of WoW, what expansions they had in mind and how they wanted to implement them. Still doesn't mean it's fake. Still doesn't mean it's true.

Personally, I've always felt that there was a logical grain of truth to it, but as said, if they depart from it, doesn't mean the list was any less real or fake either.

    edit: more thoughts on "Mists".

Personally, I'll give it a 50/50 shot that it is the next expansion. The timing is right, however, the name doesn't feel like an expansion. Burning Crusade, Wrath of the Lich King, Cataclysm, Mists. Just doesn't fall into that epic destruction theme.

The other thought of the 50/50, is that 48%, in my mind, is a tablet/ipad type game. The market is relatively small, but it's going to explode, and get giant soon, and lets face it, it's the future. 1% of me says Facebook, and another 1% says TCG.

There will always be something for people to bitch about. If the current things they bitch about are changed, they will find new things.

This. People bitched about TBC, kicked and screamed about WotLK, bitched about Cata, and now, when we have only a title for the "next xpac," people are going insane that the idea of pandas are in the game! Cows on two legs and goats driving crystal spaceships are acceptable, but pandas! BULLSHIT! If people are gunna complain about the game, just gtfo.

I think they'd be crazy not to get into the mobile gaming market (ie a iPad game based on the Warcraft IP). So I think it's quite likely this is what Mists is going to be. It could be the next xpac but from memory the trademarked named thing happened for WotLK and Cata only a week prior to Blizzcon.

/shrug. It's something, and we'll all eventually find out. It's not a "red herring", you don't make trademark applications just to troll your customer base. Please, honestly. How old are you people?
