Deep Earth Vestments

The design called for "phosphorescent mushrooms, reminiscent of Zangarmarsh," so our main concern was avoiding making a helm that looked like a giant toadstool sombrero. We’re always looking to incorporate interesting light sources within a raid set, and bioluminescent vegetable growth certainly provides that. Twisting, organic shapes are often key elements of a druid set, and this tier is no exception, with writhing plant roots providing a frame for the glowing clusters of fungi.

I dont know..this set looks kinda plain to me unless the shoulder have some visual effect that we arent seeing yet? it looks really close to alliance cloth T9 and we all know how horrible that was.

Sorry but isn't that just the Furious Gladiator's Kodohide set from wrath with extra blue shit on the shoulders?

I love the mushroom idea because that seems druid like and it could have been awesome if they went with a Zangarmarsh theme, but every thing else just doesn't fit. Enough with the WWE Belts already. They may look great on warriors and Dk's, but never druids. It also looks like the gear was put together with rope on the shoulders and sewn together horribly to look similar to the Leaper in WOTLK. Why do they want druids to look like the Leaper? Shouldn't druids be more druid like? There are so many themes that could be used, such as; Cat theme, bear, more tree bark stuff and bird feathers, native american theme, mushrooms, leaves and other plants. The colors are fine together except for the random yellow and gold in it. I just haven't really cared for any of the druid tiers after sets 1,2 and 4-8.

why are people who like this set calling people who don't like this set "whiners" and "QQ". It's a discussion thread, mean for people to give their opinions... some are going to like it, some aren't. The creater of this thread wanted opinions. I have said that I don't like the set, that doesn't make me a QQ Mc Whinerstein, eat shit.

    and have a nice day

Lol i was right.. Yet another ridiculous planty crap that looks like total garbage.. It seems blizzard's designers do not play the game and don't even know what whole the shape shifting is about

I really like this set, give us back simple sets, we're druids for goodness sake! Really see the mushrooms/crystals giving off a nice glowing effect, though I already got together a mix of T1 and T4 that I'm very happy with. Still, Glad we don't have to have any more over-the-top crap... or a stick in front of my eyes...

I personally think it looks really nice, especially the fact that we have a hood.

Very nice looking tier. For once it has a lot of small details and doesn't look like a plain sheet of single coloured cloth. That's what I've missed in the newer tier sets. I really think they did a good job on this one.

I really like the earthy tones of this set. The whole set (obviously earth and deepholm influenced) gives me a lot of the same feelings I get when I'm in Deepholm. It's a very meditative zone; the simplicity of the set calls to that idea, the idea that the earth and rocks are very patient and steadfast. I can imagine someone wearing this garb sitting and contemplating for days in the fungal areas of deepholm, and over time the fungus grows on it. The vibrant simplicity gives it this traditional druid feel, as oppose to something like the Stormrider Regalia (my favorite set), which is a set that is more about "Look how powerful I am with my crazy lightning and awesome wings and super electric colors". That's not a bad thing, but this is set is modest while still being impressive. I think that's what a druid set should be, and I think that's what a lot of the really good druid sets have achieved in the past. And that's why I like this set.

Why is tier 6 so awesome for almost all classes? TBC had the best team behind it I'm sure.
