World of Warcraft Magazine Canceled
Blizzard just sent a mail to all the subscribers of the World of Warcraft magazine. If you subscribed to the magazine, you can either ask for your money back or get a package of 6 companion pets in game, you might want to look into it now since you apparently only have 2 weeks to do so.

Here is the mail sent to subscribers, thanks to Ocnarian for his forum thread.

This has been a difficult decision to come to. Although both Blizzard Entertainment and Future US are very proud of the magazines that we have created together, we have each decided to focus our efforts on other areas.

We really appreciate your support for the magazine and would like to offer you a premium based on your remaining subscription term, or, if you prefer, a full refund of your remaining balance instead. To redeem your premium or request a refund, please visit www.worldofwarcraftthemagazine.com by September 30, 2011.

On the website, you'll need to input the following code to access your options:

[Code removed, obviously]

(Please be aware this code is non-transferable and can only be used once.)

Again, we would like to thank you for your continued support and hope you enjoy reading issue 5 as much as we enjoyed making it.

With thanks,
Future US and Blizzard Entertainment

We're putting them up as soon as they're done, essentially, so from here on out they're likely to be posted rather randomly. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Wind Shear
It's still a part of the plan and you'll find out more information once we get into discussing patch 4.3 class balance. I'm not really able to reveal any plans as of yet. Without any context the information I could provide would only lead to a slew of follow-up questions, which will be answered better in our upcoming announcements. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Tier 13 and Future Armor Art
There is only one objective truth about every single armor set we've ever made -- some people love, and some people hate, each of 'em. The art is completely subjective and your tastes reflect your viewpoint.

That said, our design philosophy for epic sets is not changing at all with the introduction of Transmogrification. We're still going to keep designing what we think is fitting and awesome for each class and tier. We want people to want to wear all of the major armor sets we release. In the future you'll just have the option of deciding what set fits you best aesthetically and adventuring to obtain it, without worrying about the stats. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Paypal and Diablo III Auction House
We're pleased to announce that in most regions, PayPal will be our payment-service partner for the Diablo III auction house, allowing players who trade with real-world currency the ability to cash out the spoils of their battle-torn adventures via a PayPal account.

PayPal will also soon be added in several regions as a payment option on Battle.net, providing another convenient and secure payment method for digital purchases of Blizzard products and services.

We’ll share region-related specifics, as well as further details on everything mentioned above, in the near future. Stay tuned! (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

They're not adding things. These are offers they give to different people based on how much money is left on their subscription.

lol these "values" are more rediculous everytime this post gets updated.
$60 for imaginary pets they took 5 minutes to make?
$75 for a retarded looking plushie toy? who came up with that price/value? That thing better be as big as a person for that "value"

This made me giggle a bit ^^ How you came to this conclusion I don't know...

Anyway, they are different offers depending on what subscription you had bought for the magazine (half a year, year) etc...

I fail to see how the plushie is worth $75 though... maybe I should ask and see if a blue would clarify it for us ^^

Well seeing each one is $10 on the blizz store... and there are 6 of them...

I don't think I'd pay $75 for Kwurky, but if anyone has the option to get one, send me a PM with how much you'd be willing to sell it to me for.

If the plushy is at least twice as big as the one in store, I WANT IT.....

Worst case scenario could see the Blizzard fees and the paypal fees causing you to potentially lose money instead of making money on transactions(ie someone buys something from your for 30 bucks but the fees make you pay 35 so you have to cough up 5 bucks yourself... again in the worst case scenario).

Additionally this little snippet will apply to D3 is related to not being able to get seller protection:

Note: different countries' cookies will show you slightly different information (below is US English but with the cookies detecting Japan origin.) However digging you can find the same information on others:

•Claims or Chargebacks for Significantly Not as Described.
•Items that you deliver in person, including at a point of sale.
Intangible items, including Digital Goods and services.
•Items that are not shipped to the recipient address. If you originally ship the item to the recipient address but the item is later redirected to a different address, you will not be eligible for PayPal Seller Protection. We therefore recommend not using a shipping service that is arranged by the buyer, so that you will be able to provide valid proof of shipping and delivery.
    • Items that you have shipped after PayPal has advised you not to ship. PayPal may advise you though several methods, including: •In your Transaction History (you can access it by logging into https://www.paypal.com.mx and viewing the status information in the Transaction History).
    •By email sent by PayPal.
•By a message to your PayPal Account.

Paypal before being bought out by Ebay was a terrible company. TERRIBLE, they have gotten a lot better as long as your not stupid enough to ship an item without seller protection.
As for selling a $30 item COSTING you $5... somebody never took math. You can't get fee's in the sub 100% range to be beyond the money sent to you. At worst your looking at 10% or so in fee's Still a rip off, but not nearly in the 130% range.

They are not "adding things." They are offering more things for people who have a higher balance to make things fair.
