Blizzard was extremely fast and already patched in the missing Dragon Soul cinematic! Watch at your own risks.

Fall of Deathwing Not Yet Available in Raid Finder

We’ll keep you informed when this part of the raid opens up for Raid Finder. Keep in mind that it’s required to complete the first half to be able to queue for the second, so don’t hold back!

That's exactly what we thought over here watching it. Blizzard is washing their hands of this game at this point and are going to rush to tie up any loose ends by just saying by just giving up for the most part. I've played this game since the original WC1...never have I ever though Blizzard would just trash and disregard the lore like they have.

I don't get it. I thought the Dragon aspects already stopped Deathwing at some point in the past. I'm not to big on the lore, but I thought the Dragon aspects were the ones that forced him to hide in Deepholm in the first place. so why is it they fulfilled their destiny this time and not the last time they did it? Also he survived the first time they attacked. What makes them think that there is absolutely no doubt he's not dead this time? They kind of fought him next to his hidy-hole. Although I doubt Blizz would have him survive right next to the most logical place to hide. That would imply Blizz thought. Also how did they're dragon power just disappear? Why would they be given the ability to eradicate their power? Also if it's true that the titans were once the guardians of Azeroth, and the Dragons got their phenomenal power from them. Then why don't the Dragons give that power to the supposed new guardians? Instead of just letting is evaporate away into nothingness. The age of mortals has begun? I thought the Titan's were there to protect Azeroth from the old gods? Wouldn't that be the Dragon aspects greatest goal or whatever? Not killing another dragon that already tried to kill? Who was corrupted and empowered by the old gods twice? None of the aspects thought that power could be put to good use? Who decided that was their ultimate goal? Was it them? If not then who did and who took their power? Was it red dragon queen who's name I refuse to spell? Did the other dragons agree to that? You could fit 14 galaxies into this plot hole. Did the even make an attempt at logic?

WoW: based on pop-culture references since late 2004. That was a decent ending, yea, because it was basically based on small outtakes from the speeches made in the LotR movies. Hardly shocking and very forseeable. Although Thrall makes a horrible Arragorn/Frodo. He could fit the one ring on one of his teeth! I'm much more interested in knowing what happens to a character like Ysera after all that than freaking pandas though. She is lazy and never speaks too much, the perfect match for every gamer!

HmmmI don't like the idea of losing the dragon aspects. They were the most interesting characters in WoW for me, having been with Warcraft since day 1 of Warcraft 1.However, the more I think about it the more I understand the move. The Dragon Aspects have caused alot of damage to Azeroth which goes against their initial reason for being there. Neltharion was corrupted by the old god(s), Malygos was sent insane and tried to abolish all magic and Nozdormu founded the Twilights and tried to change history. Ysera allowed the Dream to be corrupted and failed in her duty to protect it. Alexstrasza was captured and held captive with her offspring used as weapons during the orc invasion of Azeroth.Throughout all of this the aspects have looked to the mortals to help fix these issues and bring order back to the Aspects. It seems only fitting that now all of the aspects have been brought in line and order has been restored, Alexstrasza probably decided that losing their powers and allowing the mortal races to finally become masters of their own destiny was for the best. The aspects failed, for the most part, in their charge. It's a drastic and sudden lore move by Blizzard for sure, and I wish they went into more detail behind the reasons for the aspects to move on, and I am sure at some point they will. The way is open now for bigger and better things to come our way. The Legion has not given up on Azeroth yet, and someone is holding a massive grudge against us. After, I assume, he's finished dealing with a rather persistant orc that's nipping at his heals....

I have been so thrilled to have watched this. At first I figured it was one of those "here we go again" cinematics... But in the twist of things, I found this expansion pack to be some what tragic and romantic. The look on Thrall's face full of surprise is what made me joyful - He is/or soon to be getting what he had most desired most out of life - A family. I am surprised, however, at the aspects giving up their eternal life for mortality. But in the weird twisted scheme of thing's, I am sure something great will happen again. Thank you for this cinematic. I hope to see it for myself soon in the ever near future!

Basically they knew that destroying deathwing would take all of their power and they were willing to sacrifice that because over the years (expansions) It has been the champions of azeroth (us) that have ultimately saved Azeroth time and time again.

    We saved it from Ragnaros
    We saved it from Hakkar
    We saved it from Nefarian
    We saved it from C-thun
    We saved it from Kil'jaeden
We saved it from it from Kel'thuzard
    We saved it from Yogg'saron
    We saved it from Arthas
We saved it from Ragnaros AGAIN

The Aspects are confident in our ability to defend our planet from pretty much all threats, Azeroth doesn't need the Aspects as much as it did before.

We did have some pretty awesome cut scenes during the raid though, made it feel like final fantasy

Just don’t expect a Happily Ever After. We just don’t do those here.
Bullshit! You just don't do them for Alliance characters.
No matter how many times I look at this, research it, and mull it over in my head I still get to the same question each time: Why Thrall?

He's a shaman from a race that didn't originate on Azeroth, and yet they still made him the Earth-Warder to take Neltharion's place during the final confrontation and wield the most powerful weapon every created, The Dragon Soul. The Alliance players fight side-by-side with him and next expansion he's going right back to Orgrimmar where his name will turn red and he'll have no qualms about killing any Alliance that goes near him. A Troll, Night/Blood Elf, or Dwarf makes way more sense as they're the 3 eldest races on the planet. Trolls have been Shamans and Dwarves just got the shaman class, why not introduce a new character to follow.

I helped the Horde Warchief attain supreme power in the hopes that after a mutual enemy is defeated he will remember our aid. . . . and then Theramore blew the fuck up. (I swear to God if he blew it up with the Dragon soul no amount of protection will save them from the fans.)

edit* missed a few words on one sentence

all i can think of this is more battle between horde and alliance to see who gets those empty seats in the aspect council. i dont think thats bad... i feel very sorry for the dragons tho.and loads of politics ahead too between allied races too about these matters... mmm

Did they completely retcon what happens to Nozdormu? It seems so...

Ok this is getting on my nerves for all those who say that this ending doesn't make sense with the Bronze flight. There are COUNTLESS possible futures so obviously one of them has the Aspects retaining their powers which allows Nozdormu to be corrupted.

Its not that I hated the ending, its pretty melodramatic like always, but I would have liked some more explanation, like, "WTF Why r u losing your powers!?" Oh well, I hope this is fleshed out in MoP or the events leading up to it, because like many others I dont understand how they fulfilled their "great purpose."
