Weapons, trinkets, rings, neck pieces, shields, offhand items, and the Robe of Glowing Stone are now class-restricted to their intended users. With the speed at which a Raid Finder group moves through a zone, we’ve found that it makes it challenging for players to evaluate loot decisions – by class restricting these items, we hope that the natural behavior will have a more positive set of results for everyone involved. This change will not apply to normal or heroic raid or dungeon loot rules.

Raid Finder and Need Plus are both very new systems, and we’re working to iterate on these systems rapidly to ensure that everyone has the best possible experience as we learn more about how players are using the system. Please keep in mind that this system is not considered complete and we have further plans to improve upon it within Mists of Pandaria.

If you looted an item from Looking for Raid which replaced another and you need Game Master assistance to recover your old item, please place a petition with the new item name, that you can no longer use it - and the old item name you need restored. I was too embarrassed to stay in the raid group with my name associated with ninjasI would also like to see some kind of change implemented that if they already have normal tier the roll bonus is lost... that same run and same Paladin tank rolled need on the LFR T13 helm token even though he was running around with his T13 normal helm -_- which stopped people who ACTUALLY needed it ie: myself and whoever else qualified for the piece getting it. Selfish people in LFR are frustrating!
I think you've made a pretty good case for finding a new guild. OT, can stuff you need in LFR be traded or does it become soulbound like items in 5-mans? And if it does become soulbound can you still trade it with others that were in for the kill for the next 2 hrs?

Blizzard is truly a bunch of asses. They blame people rolling on gear they shouldn't be able to.........on the raid moving too fast? And not people being complete asses, or how about this, YOU SCREWED UP. Allowing str users to roll on agility, and visa versa in the first place was a huge mistake that blizzard clearly let go through the ptr in the first place. As if people didn't report it.

As a DK tank I took the feral/hunter polearm from LFR earlier (only one hunter in the raid, was dead 90% of the fight). However the first sentance in the blue post isn't clear to me entirely.Am I reading it right that I can ticket a GM to have my polearm turned into a Gurthalak? That would be pretty awesome

There are many players who choose to stick to one spec, but there are many who don't as well. Myself, I very frequently switch between resto and enhance and so I have need rolled on "off-spec" before in 5-player instances and even a couple raids. The difference between the jerks and I is that I bother with asking first when it's not clear if anyone else needs the item in question. I've even given up items that I won to another player who needed it more (sometimes without even being prompted to). I do this because I want to be a nice person and be treated the same way in return.

So, I don't like some of the suggestions regarding which should be restricted to what. I agree it's not fun at all to have an agi class/spec roll on str, or having some sort of pseudo-secret shenanigans going on, etc. I've been there my share of times throughout the years. I just don't want Blizzard to become so zealous in attempting to regulate player behavior that people like myself end up suffering for it.

    That's my 2¢ anyway.
Honestly, if you want to gear your OS, that's fine, but you should be in there for the roll you want the gear for.
It just absolutely sucks when you're on your 39th run of H Deadmines, and when your helm finally drops for the first time, the tank Needs on it. And this was back at the start of Cata, when Deadmines could literally take 4 hours, and you could go through 10 people trying to pass it...

Having to ask 24 random strangers in LFR if it's ok if you need on all the healing gear just isn't a good idea.

Dont think so, i think it only means that you get the item back that you had before you looted(ninjaed) the polearm.

No, they'll restore the weapon you used to wear if you deleted it on acquiring the polearm.

Blizzard is just SHIT at itemizing, obviously you do NOT put expertise on one of the TWO only agi rings that drop...

I don't give a flying **** about LFR loot because there is other alternatives at same ilevel, but its a problem when we start talking BiS items. Then the hunters can ONLY get one ring from Heroic mode that is of any use and are forced to use the Valor one as second = 410+397 rings, where feral/enhance/rogue can use 2x410

As if we weren't far enough behind already when it comes to BiS gear due to our terrible scaling, this just makes it even worse. GJ !

What about [Kiril, Fury of Beasts]? It's an agi polearm yet pallies can roll need on it? PROT pallies at that? /stupid

Wrong. There's a reason why DKs can roll on it still.

As I commented earlier, off-spec doesn't really mean what it used to back when we didn't have the dual-spec system. So I suppose we agree to disagree on that point.

Well hopefully the tank would be considerate of others' needs. If not, yes, I can understand the frustration it would cause on the DPS' end.

That, I do agree on. I believe that was another one of my reasons for opposing the creation of the LFR tool because while meeting up with four other random players can work out most of the time, I was and still am very skeptical about that holding true for raids. Despite all what I just typed, though, I probably will end up utilizing the LFR simply out of necessity. :/

Best of luck to us all.
