Dragon Soul 10 Progression Rankings
In extremis went on to get the World First kill of Heroic Madness of Deathwing in 10 man, making them the only guild to do so. There are two EU and two Asian guilds left at 7/8 to try for second place.

Statistics: Mounts
As a part of our continued statistics posts, today we looked at the most and least popular mounts. Keep in mind many of these characters are alts, which reduces the percentages. This comes from a ~6.4 million level 85 character sample size. Gladiator mounts and old epic ground mounts that are no longer in the game were removed from the list. You can see the unfiltered list and a few bonus mounts here.


  • The average level 85 character has 21 mounts.
  • The average level 85 character that has done at least some of the new 4.3 PvE content has 29 mounts.
  • Blue Wind Rider was the most popular Wyvern color from the set of normal speed Wyverns that you could purchase in Burning Crusade.
  • Swift Red Wind Rider was the most popular Wyvern color from the set of epic speed Wyverns that you could purchase in Burning Crusade.
  • Only 70% of level 85 characters completed enough quests in Vashj'ir to get the Subdued Abyssal Seahorse.
  • People really like the camels!

    I would think the Big Blizzard Bear would be pretty rare if it wasn't for the fact that you could send it to all your toons on a server.

    Maybe in the future sure! Right now I can feel the carpal tunnel coming on. I'll add a few interesting ones to the additional post up top.

    Oh, please. :P

    EDIT: Or, eventually filter just holiday mounts (ex; Horseman's Reins, Big Love Rocket, Brewfest Kodo, Brewfest Ram ect.)
    Maybe add Violet Proto in that too, for What a Long Strange Trip It's Been, achieve.

    Just like someone said before, not only filter the race mounts but the tcg ones, rarest mounts from drops alone would be much better imo(or achievs)!

    Wow, kinda pisses me off... immortal was the only thing my druid needed for the black proto-drake and we got it, but a bug relating to losing somebody on trash in the vicinity of a boss prevented us from completing it (they went afk near the slimes and grobbulus threw one of his slimes down and it happened to kill them, not during the boss encounter though). I wouldve been in that .19%. At least I got rusted and plagued protodrakes I guess =\

    Surprised that people love Snowy Gryphon more than Golden Gryphon

    Celestial Steed generate quite alot of $$ to bliz-activation, good marketing strat I guess.

    Btw, did Stars say something about "different tactics"?

    Not going to happen today as a good amount of manual work went into the list. Maybe in the future when I can make it automagic! If you have a specific interesting request I can add it to that list though.

    Ha ha! I'm among the 0.00053% who have the Swift Forest Strider! That list says it's rarer than the Black Qiraji Battletank. (Though I doubt that.) Rarest in the game? Not after the next Faire week.

    You're among the few people to have won the battle chest things. Had I been PvP savvy enough to acquire just one, I would have the mount now
