The chinese then remade the entire expansion to fit for themselves.

And lets repeat that its an asian expansion.

How is saying Hare Hare Yukai would be better than the already quintessentially Japanese caramelldansen forcing Japanese culture down peoples throats? Its trading one for another. Most people wouldnt even know what it was - just like people in this thread not knowing what caramelldansen is.

To even use the word weeaboo means you must be pretty insecure of your own sense of culture.
I... wow, way to miss the forest for the trees. Take off your tunnel vision blinders and realize I never said it was offensive or that it had to be OMG Chinese, nor did I say Blizz was shoving Japanese culture or style down peoples' throats (keyword quintessentially, we both are aware it's not a Japanese song).

What I'm bringing attention to is the fact that overzealous Japanphiles seem to think that any time Asia is referenced, there need to be nine million anime references, which is extremely imposing. Not everyone is an anime fan. Think about that objectively.

In response to the bolded sentence: I reckon that sounds like projection on your part.

No one ever said you were insecure.... holy crap, you're the one who brought up insecurity, lol. Nor did I ever stereotype anime watchers (guess what I enjoy!). Being an anime watcher doesn't make you a weeaboo, being an anime fanatic/otaku on the other hand, well that's arguable.

Also, putting words in peoples' mouths doesn't help your case at all.

Even if the song is swedish, the dance seems to be based on a hentai game dance scene.

    God whyyyy
This is why I fear ever going to any conventions. I don't think my eyes can handle the continuous rape of over confident over weight people.

You are the one making a HUGE issue out of every anime reference being made. (Even using terms only 12 year olds use..."weeaboo", really?).

Correct. Part is from a famous hentai game, the other part is from a famous anime., both got parodied endlessly, thus justifying their appearance in WoW.

Overzealous? So you're pretty much just pinning the word weeaboo on everyone who mentions anime then? Sweeping generalisations bring nothing but wrath.

Now ignoreing the "nine million". Really? Imposing? Lets be serious here - Blizzard put in so many pop culture references already, putting a few more in isnt going to get to anyone (well, some people). Getting offended by anime references in WoW (of which theres probably what, 20 max?) is hard to swallow.

And no, the bolded part pretty much sums up everything youve said so far. Pure judgemental tone and all.

Oh yeah, I'm so angry. I mean, however you want to rationalize any perceivable criticism away, lest it shatter your fragile ego. I find it ironic that you're complaining about people 'stereotyping' anime fans yet do the same to anyone who doesn't think 'CARMELLDANSEN DAISUKI DESU ^__________^' or whatever.

But hey, it's easy to dismiss criticism than to take it for what it is. Intellectual laziness at its finest.

Also, Carmelldansen isn't the name of the dance if you really want to split hairs. BTW, do you know what otaku translates to? Even the Japanese use it as a derogatory term.

I never said that... did you not read my last post? As an anime viewer myself, I obviously don't consider everyone who enjoys anime to be a weeaboo. Are you even reading my posts or just skimming them? The quote implies you think that all anime fans are overzealous, however.

Your lack of comprehension for what I've said is astounding, it's like you've just turned on your defensive shell and are dismissing any sort of dissent. I'm not here to battle you, I'm making a point that it's obnoxious when 'weeaboos' think everything needs to be Japanese.... please show me where I ever complained about Blizzard?

First of all, weeaboo isn't a real word, though if we were to go to urbandictionary...

Someone who is obsessed with Japan/Japanese Culture/Anime, etc. and attempts to act as if they were Japanese, even though they're far from it. They use Japanese words but usually end up pronouncing them wrong and sounding like total assholes. You can find alot of these faggots clogging up the forums of Gaia Online, hanging out in the international aisle of the supermarket, or crowding the manga section of your local bookstore. Synonym of wapanese.

Seriously, stop arguing for the sake of arguing and just read what I have to say with an open mind. I fully read your posts, I'd expect the same courtesy in return.

I do what now? That comment was the first time responding to you, which I think is more than reasonable, yet it only resulted in you getting even angrier. The claims you make about other people makes me believe you live in your own little reality bubble.

As soon as i mentioned Hare Hare Yukai, you attacked me straight out calling me a weeaboo, maybe you're the one who needs to check your posts and settle down a bit.

For people wondering where the male Dance came from - it was the dancing hamsters from the Kia commercials:

Aren't you exacerbating this supposed overreaction by validating it and replying to it? If you automatically think that the term weeaboo applies to you, that's not my fault, considering I specifically cited people that think everything Asian-related should be Japanese. If that description applies to you, then that would make you a weeaboo... if not, then chill out it clearly isn't directed at you.

And FFS, people I'm not saying anything derogatory towards Blizzard either, I quite like MoP.

This completes the whole kit for this sorry excuse of a joke-race. Really, keep up the "great" and "innovative" work. The developers can't do a better job than this from keeping me away from this Game Once Known As World of Warcraft. Such a sad path it is walking down.

Ah yea, that was pretty passive aggressive, though to be fair it wasn't a direct insult, regardless my apologies for the veiled insult.

I still think the Haruhi dance for Pandaren just because it's Japanese and the Pandaren are asian-themed is a ridiculous idea, though.
