Mists of Pandaria Login Screen Preview

Seriously. Do you people ever stop complaining ? I mean, would you rather another dragon flying around and roaring at you whilst you're afk for a drink? Myself I didn't enjoy the Wotlk and Cata ones too much, with all the WRRAAWRAWRARAWRA, and I know for a fact a lot of people whined about that. The hell's wrong with this ? Boring ? It's -just- a login screen. Autumny feel ? really ...?

It's probably the most non-invasive one I've seen since Vanilla(love that one), so I give it a thumbs up. I can get into action ingame, don't need to see it on the login screen. I'd say it actually puts you into the world a bit, invites you in to play and enjoy, and that is usually not done by landing a dragon on your head the moment you open your eyes.

I kinda like it. But I'll be honest. I don't care what the log in screen is just as long as there's no dragon! So sick of seeing Deathwing's mug every time I log in. And I got so sick of Sindragosa's roar, that I started playing with the sound off.

No. more. dragons. please. I beg My sanity can only take so much.

Looks great. would have preferred one that pull back the view a little bit with opposing horde and alliance camps in the foreground but i suppose that would have de-emphasized the beautiful palace in the background.

I think it's headed in the right direction, and I like it. The "portal to another world" definitely needs to make a comeback to the login screen.

Having said that, this is much closer to what my dream login screen would be:

So, I'm guessing you guys didn't dig up any monk glyphs from this build. I see a few of them are having their numbers changed from the previous post, but what's the point if they don't even exist in usable form yet?

I was watching it, just waiting for some asian-themed dragon to whiz across the screen.

Just in case no one has mentioned it yet that is actually a real spot within pandara. The reason for the autumn colors is because that is what you will find in Vale of Eternal Blossoms which is where this place is. As for the statues, they are enormous just like their lotr kin though I think blizzard scaled the shot down so they could fit in the shot properly. The reason they are mogu is because just beyond is the neutral level 90 city of pandaria as well as the entrance to mogu'shan palace. The city itself is distinctly mogu in appearence though the evidence of others taking up recent residence there is quite obvious. The falling leaves effect also makes sense since the trees nearby it seem to be in a state of constant leaf fall so it does make sense to some extent. As for anyone looking to see it in the beta, the only way to do it with through some careful mountain climbing, wall running, and base jumping. Have fun.

needs moar death and destruction and fiery brimestones. oh wait...its pandaren...need moar jack black then. just him saying "skadoosh" when you hit the login button.

This isn't bad, but I hope it's not final. MOP needs more green and waterfalls (since there are like 10k waterfalls in Pandaria?), I'd much rather it feature something from the Jade Forest or from the Pandaren starter area!

I want no login screen... just login from the launcher.. the amount of times I've DC'd and had to wait for the login screen to render/load costs precious seconds that I could have rejoined fights sooner

BC like on how it opens up with the gate to the zone. Plus the statue remind me of the river in LoTR fellowship at the end

I'm rather fond of this. It reminds me of the mystery and promise of adventure the original dark portal log in screen had.

I don't know if anyone bothered to do some history research, but I did, and it looks like Cataclysm's new load screen was unveiled on Beta October 23, 2010, a mere 45 days before the expansion released. I don't know if that timetable will hold up here, but it is something to consider.
