PvP Season 11 Ending Soon

At that point, we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the Cataclysmic Gladiator’s Twilight Drake to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 11 ends. The awarding of Season 11 titles and mounts will occur approximately 1 week after the season ends.

At the end of the season, Conquest Points will be converted to Honor Points, possibly exceeding the 4,000 point Honor cap. There will be no cap on Honor until Mists of Pandaria is released on September 25. At that time, any Honor accrued above the 4,000-point cap will be converted into gold at a rate of 35 silver per point.

All Season 11 items will cost Honor Points (equivalent to their previous Conquest Point cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached. These items will no longer be available for purchase.

The next Arena and Rated Battleground season will begin for level-90 players approximately one week after Mists of Pandaria launches. During the break between seasons, all Rated Battleground and Arena matches will be unavailable. Matchmaking (MMR), Team, and Personal Ratings will all be wiped when Season 12 begins.

They aren't trying to sabotage anything, you just think they are.

I know right. At least let GW2 have a week of popularity before everybody leaves to play a better game.

It's called being competitive. The dates are not just random, they pick them for a reason. It might not be exactly sabotage, but they do play around other game's dates as to try and get people to play their own.

    Ouch... that hurt ;D

BTW: From Takralus - Corrected the error now; any Honor accrued above the 4,000-point cap will be converted into gold at a rate of 35 silver per point.

Lol at GW2, arcade style MMO ftw. Not even a true competitor to any other MMOs, Rift, SWTOR, AION or any of them..... It literally has NO endgame, not just a bad one, none, zilch, nada unless you like its style PVP (and I have heard many complaints on the fluidity of the gameplay)

Might be a fun game, but it has no longevity and is not a competitor to Rift, AION, etc..

Not having raids != not having endgame.

While I am not a WoW hater and did not come here to bash it, I must state one thing. People who claim that the release date of this patch has nothing to do with GW2 and Blizzard is not trying to sabotage something are delusional. Blizzard ALWAYS countered large MMO releases. This is their known strategy since years and I am not surprised at all by what is happening now. While indeed coming here and bashing WoW might be a form of GW2/whatever fanboism, stating that 28 August patch release day is just a mere coincidence is an example of similar WoW fanboism.

Are you naive enough to not think they had this date set before GW2 release date was announced?

    It's almost laughable.

    No wait, it is. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

Yea, no gear progression is no endgame.

GW2 is all about PvP, it's not about endgame, it's not about PvE. People can try to defend GW2's PvE all they wan't, but it's not there.

That is why I will play GW2 just for PvP, and WoW for PvE.

You mind not bashing gw2 since you clearly have no idea what you're talking about?

Completely expected, but thought they would release one week before or after the D3 patch.

Diablo and WoW patches on the same day...guess they figured that everyone will be playing GW2, might as well release a couple of patches on a light server load day

"Hey guys, let's delay the patch because people on the forums will accuse us of trying to compete with GW2!"

Yeah, no. If you seriously think an expansion pre-patch is an attempt at competing with a brand new, hyped as hell game, I have no words. Chances are, the release date for this patch has already been set in stone for quite a while. Even if it wasn't, they didn't have a lot of dates, and the 28th/29th is roughly a month before the expansion releases. Doesn't sound like an attempt to "fight" GW2 to me.

LET'S DO DUNGEONS TO GET GEAR!

    Oh wait

LET'S DO RAIDS TO GET GEAR!

    Oh wait

GW2 is a PvP game, if you never played GW1, be prepared for the most stagnant game of your life if you enjoy PvE

When you kill things just to kill them, there is no reward.

Find me one big MMO release in the last 5 years that didnt had any counter-action from Blizzard within a week or so from that release date. How many coincidences in a row you are willing to bet your money on?
