As usual, no one is ever happy on these forums with anything Blizzard does. I think the Cinematic was amazing! The Monk (who I am assuming is Chen Stormstout) is basically portraying the whole Pandaren attitude of fighting to protect, not just fighting out of hatred. I think this expansion is going to be awesome! Kudos to Blizzard for making an action packed opening with humor to make me grin! Come on September 25!
Seeing the panda dodge the blows looked really cartoonish, or something out of Matrix (well, not even Neo was that fast). It fits in certain games, but I've never seen anything even remotely close in WoW, like if you compare the agile Nelf fighting an orc in the vanilla video. It would be like throwing in a new class in the next CoD that could use magic or only used katanas.
I loved when the panda took the hammer looking weapon away from the Orc and placed it back where the orc tore it off...then made sure it was straight lol....great awesome Cinematic as always.
This looks really great, but why exactly does the human decide to attack the Pandaran? He was fighting an orc to the death, then the orc decides to attack something unknown, and while the orc's back is turn the human just decides to join team orc against something he doesn't understand. Shouldn't he have just stabbed the orc in the back, and then backed off from the Pandaran which he doesn't have any apparent reason to attack?
When we set foot on Pandaria, the Sha threat is already there; the Pandaren know about it, but we don't know about it or the Pandaren until we're a good bit into the beginning quest lines. The reason why the Pandaren seen (probably Chen) is breaking up the conflict is because even a simple scrap/clash between a single Orc and a single Human is enough to empower any nearby Sha, even if only by a small amount. To use an analogy, it's like banging on a bell or shouting without knowing that there's a massive dragon or core hound right behind you; those who know it's there will do their utmost to shut you up.
It was ok, it was funny but it wasn't epic. I only liked the beginning part and the part where they showed the land. The whole fight and the implications of the fight was quite absurd at best.
the part where the human gave the orc a weapon and they were shocked was damn funny and nice ! i LOVE IT!! after wrath cinematic i think this is the best so far
No you read and get smarter. He is talking about childish things. And I am talking about things that are blantly for kids. What do you think when you see a guy who openly play computer games? "Meh it's probably his hobby and he doesn't care what other people think". But when you see a guy sitting on a floor playing with Duplo and some teddy bears you knows he must be f'ed up.
Which is...the trailer? The game? What is it exactly? This is my point I'm have been saying. You're taking about something obvious, but you're not making any sense of it. Of course it's weird for grown men to be playing with teddy bears, toy ponies, and whatever toy you want to mention. But how is this relating exactly? Are you saying people playing this game with pandas are messed up in the head as well? I just don't get people like you.
Looks nice, but I'm thinking they are trying to keep this more mysterious as to not give a "spoiler" to the expansion. We "discovered" the lich king through questing in different zones but we already had seen him in the cinematic. Same with the other expansions, but I assume more kinematics will be coming along

The trailer remind me of kung fu panda, know chen appeared before the movie but the style of the cinematic feels that way
All these people talking about "where is the war???!!" should remind themselves of the fact that Metzen said that war is COMING, and that it wasn't something that was going to happen at the start of the expansion. The start is about meeting the pandaren and exploring pandaria, which is what this trailer portrais.. Both Horde and Alliance coming into contact with the Pandaren, and finding out what this mysterious place they find themselves on is about.
Then again, some people just tend to ALWAYS complain.
What's worth fighting for (Azeroth against the impending doom aka The burning Legion??? just a guess.) A lot of the same wording that are used in this xpac were used in Warcraft: War of the Ancients Trilogy so i get The burning legion vibe a lot here.

Chen technically "attacked" both of them, and while this is not always the case, it's often easier to fight with the person you are familiar then the one you are not. He had no idea if stabbing the orc in the back would have just caused himself to get his face pummeled in by the new guy, but he obviously was holding his own pretty well with the orc.
Orcs and Humans have been making alliances of convenience since WC2, it's a long standing trope.

Have played a Monk in D3 or MoP beta?

No wonder two "different" things look the same as they are copying the same source...
WotLK is still my favorite cinematic and expansion, in terms of lore, depth, and overall quality of the game. Easily the peak of WoW's career.
1. I don't (Want? Like? I'm assuming that's what you meant?) Orcs teaming up with Humans. Ever. Not in this game, it is the backbone, the foundation, and DNA of what the Warcraft series is all about. That simple gesture of giving the spear over to the Orc to fight a common foe, was a dagger in the heart.
Are you forgetting a little thing called Wrathgate?
