Probably depends on when you started to play WoW. I started in vanilla and I don´t see anything now that would want me to play the game any longer. People that started in Wrath of the Lich King or in Cata probably will play this one since they haven´t seen so much about the game still.
But in my opinion the game is going downhill and fast as hell.
I started in BC; People that play in Vanilla that see everything in a 'man this is gonna suck vanilla wus bess game evaar', are not gonna enjoy anything else Blizz offers. Nothing is going to change that for those people, sadly. Maybe once people stop wearing the glasses of 'BLIZZARD IS SHIT EVERYTHING IS SHIT I DONT LIKE CHANGE', they might find some fun in this game.

I have played since day 1 (And open EU beta as well) and I am still looking forward to MoP.
I know I'm a mod and supposed to be all nice and everything but...really? A cinematic makes you want to quit? Really? That's like starting a book that you think is great, go read the blurb on the back, turn around and go, "Naw man, this book is bad now, I'm gonna go read Fifty Shades of Grey". It's a trailer for a game, not the actual game itself. If this makes you want to quit, then how come you made it through the Mage Polymorphing someone into a falling sheep during the TBC trailer or a Tauren using a log to fight a Dwarf in the Vanilla trailer?
You feel this way because you don't see the bigger picture. Obviously, and everyone knows WoW has been going down hill for some time now. All the evidence leading up to the cinematic is that wow is aiming more and more towards kids. The cinematic was the final straw.
Myzrael - Today
So alliance and horde are fighting between selves, then pandaren shows out of nowhere. Now they are fighting against him, and he eventually joins either of the races. Fuck logic.
No Pandaren fightng the Orc and Human are different from the Pandaren that join either side. Common reference would be One is Japanese and the other are Chinese.

I started in Vanilla and i loved it, and still love the game...
If people didnt overanalyze this cinematic they'd see its perfect.
People seem to forget they had to adress a few very important points in the cinematic like:
The fight between the Alliance and the Horde
The new race, the Pandaren
The new class, the monk.
A little bit of the land.
This cinematic did all of that with a touch of humor (like, 2 seconds of it)
It's sad that everyone that defends the cinematic thinks that those that oppose it care about being manly. It's about more than that, but obviously some 12 year old like you with a pony avatar can't be expected to understand.
A bluuu-bluuuu-bluuuuu.
I dunno, seeing as how you said you were 'ashamed' about playing a game, just because it has some humor/no-grimdark in it, to a point of quitting, is really, -really- sad. Also, 12 year old pony avatar comment? Oh man, that's original. I'm 18, by the way. Calling me 12 just proves how much of a big-bad wolf you are. Don't worry, I'm sure GW2 will give you back your 'I'm a mature gamer' points, buddy.
(Disclaimer: GW2 is actually a fantastic game, and I can't wait to play it.)

not really, i started playing at the end of vanilla, start of tbc and i find mop a far better expansion than cata or tbc..it doesn't matter when you started playing, just how open you are to new content and changes
I felt the same but to think about it every expansion has its own characteristics ..
for example woltk was about a man who wanted to save his people then got corrupted .. blah blah . its a tragedy character and you can feel the sadness in the trailer
cata about the destroyer and the trailer we saw his anger and wrath , but MoP the alliance and horde still in conflict and even they carried it to the new land which they only fight to protect them self as we saw it not keeping grudge to each other like the orc and the human .

The best part of this expansion is that it'll get rid of players like you. Good riddance. Talk about a blessing in disguise.

The game is almost freakin 10 years old, the game wont folow you as you grow, itll keep targetting the younger audience, aka, teens/young adults, chances are if you started in vanilla you're about 25-26+. now take 10 years off of that.... yeah.... times change, you change, the game changes. Get. Over. It.

What part of two ships destroying each other in darkness leaving countless dead and only two known survivors speaks, "we're aiming this shit at kids"? A flailing sheep didn't do that? Dying murlocs didn't do that? Let me ask you this, when did you play the original WC games? As a child? Young adult probably? Arthas and Illidan are probably childhood memories of yours, are they not? Since the TBC and WotLK trailers focused on these two childhood memories, were they not deliberately targeting your childhood and the childhoods of countless others? They were, it's called marketing and their sales show it works. However, now that they move in a direction you don't like or care for, it's childish? I'm 23 years old and I enjoyed the living crap out of that trailer, but eff me right?
I loved it. I think it does represent the coming expansion perfectly with the Horde and Alliance at constant war with each other at first but the contact with the Pandarian teaches them to work together. Which will all have a purpose in the following expansion. The graphics are stunning too.
I liked it, but humour has nothing to do in a wow trailer imo. Well made nontheless.
You must be a new player, I'm guessing. New as in started after the Original WoW, which means you've only seen cinematics related to big bads of those expansions.
Go watch the Original WoW cinematic and BC. This trailer combines the epicness of the the original, showing the open world, beautiful and ready to be explored with some of the humor from BC. Like the mage sheeping and murlocs, etc.
Lol, everyone saying they're quitting because of this cinematic probably have MoP pre-ordered and are still subbed to the game. If you're really quitting over the cinematic and not the actual game, get over yourself.
