Mists of Pandaria Beta - Build 16030
A new beta build will be deployed on beta realms soon. We will be updating these notes frequently, so keep checking back!

This build is Patch 5.0.5 and has "lots of tweaks and fixes from both the beta and stuff that's occurred on live".

Druid (Forums)
  • Hurricane base damage increased by 27% and SP scaling increased by 7%.
  • Swipe now does 400% weapon damage, up from 375%.
  • Thrash damage increased by 7%.

Talents
  • Dream of Cenarius now increases the damage done by your next 2 Moonfire or Sunfire casts by 50%, down from 65%.

Hunter (Forums)

  • Burrow Attack now costs 50 Focus, up from 20. Base damage reduced by 50%..
  • Froststorm Breath now costs 50 Focus, up from 20.
  • Rabid now increases your pet's attack power by 25% for 20 sec, down from 50%.

Mage (Forums)
  • Ice Lance base damage increased by 13%. SP scaling increased by 13%.
  • Mana Attunement increases mana regeneration by 400%, up from 150%.

Frost
  • Frostbolt causes the target to take an additional 5% damage from your Frostbolt and Ice Lance, and your Water Elemental's Waterbolt, down from 8%.

Major Glyphs
  • Glyph of Ice Lance: Your Ice Lance now hits 1 additional target for 40% damage, down from 50%.

Monk (Forums)
  • Chi Torpedo damage increased by 10% and healing increased by 25%. AP scaling increased to 51.8%, up from 41.4%.
  • Spinning Crane Kick now does damage every .75 sec and lasts 2.2 sec, rather than every 1 sec for 3 sec.

Talents

Brewmaster
  • Stance of the Sturdy Ox now increases Energy regeneration by 10%, down from 30%. Stagger now causes 80% (was 70%) of the damage to happen instantly and the remaining 20% (was 30%) to be divided over 10 sec.

Paladin (Forums)
Retribution

Priest (Forums)
  • Mind Sear damage and SP scaling increased by 30%.

Rogue (Forums)
Combat
  • Blade Flurry now reduces energy regeneration by 20% when active, down from 30%.

Subtlety
  • Premeditation now allows additional combo points to last 18 sec, down from 20.

Shaman (Forums)

Warlock (Forums)
  • Seed of Corruption base seed damage reduced by 30%. Damage target needs to take before explosion and SP scaling reduced by 30%.

Talents

Affliction
  • Seed of Corruption base seed damage reduced by 30%. Damage target needs to take before explosion and SP scaling reduced by 30%.

Demonology

Destruction
  • Fire and Brimstone: Your next Immolate, Incinerate, Conflagrate or Curse will hit all targets within 15 yards of the target and deal 43.4% of their normal damage, down from 55.8%.
  • Havoc now has a 25 sec cooldown, down from 45 sec.

Pets
  • Felstorm now does 100% weapon damage, down from 150%.

Warrior (Forums)

Talents
  • Dragon Roar now does a .5 sec knockdown, down from 3 sec.

Raid & Dungeon Abilities
  • Stomp Splits 750,000 Splits 675,000 damage between all targets within 25 yards.

    Good job Blizzard. Buff the classes that top the DPS and nerf the ones who are at the bottom.

    A little annoyed by Chain Lightning's reduced damage, and I'd really appreciate a solid reason behind this specific nerf.

    I really don't understand some the warlock nerfs. There are still mid-table dps class beside Affliction that is a tad better...and then they further nerf Demo / Destro...hum

    Does-not-make-any-sence. And Void Ray is really crap already xd

    Final build before Mists patch notes:

    Warlock: All damage and abilities reduced by 20%. Because quite frankly, we don't like you. Mages are so much prettier.

    I'm already having to set my mind on not playing destro if I want to make some serious raiding... but destro is bad enough already, so any nerf instead of buff makes as much sense as GC posts. I bet they were testing some raids, the Blizz team lock out skilled GC and he sent him to serve coffees and started a set of nerfs to make sure an unskilled mage will always out dps a skilled lock.
    I'm fine with locks overburden rotation and cd's/procs controls, but keeping those and still let us under perform damage wise is just nonsense (demo and destro, since aff seems to be ok if u play flawlessly, which locks always need to do if they don't want to hug the bench).

    Oh boohoo, mages are fine. Hunters were doing redic. damage and so were locks. You deserve these nerfs and mages deserve the ice lance buff, Deal with it or go play some other game, because frankly, blizzard doesn't give a shit about you.

    My only comment would be: good news on Min Sear buff. My main is a shadow priest, and althought I'm already used to every other changes, on heroic madness for the Congealing Bloods, no time to dot and MS was so terribad! So many bloods hit Deathwing our very first time, he had 24% health...

    After 1 wipe we were able to kill him though (had the 2 mounts dropped, rolled 97 for the Life-Binder's Handmaiden, got beaten but a guildy with a 100! I was shocked!).

    Level 90 scaling not level 85 scaling. Most of the balancing is due to certain abilities scaling better than others at 90 in epic gear. Until everyone is in epic gear in pandaria they cant really fully gauge what needs buffs but they are trying there best for now.

    LOOOL Blood Presence now increases Stamina by 25%, up from 8%. yesterday we did elegon 25 hc betatest.
    I maintanked with 615k hp while other tanks had 510k and 520k and now they wanna give me more xD thank you so much blizz
    i also was first in healing and first in damage done thanks to new vengeance and fkin high bosshits
    DK is fine now blizz lets stay with it for next 2 years

    Looks like the "bug" with Dragon Roar's knockback being useless on Live isn't a bug.

    Also, more Ret nerfs when Holy is running around gibbing people on live in PVP. Honestly, did anyone think our AOE was overpowered in beta at all? I was just getting used to doing as much AOE DPS as, well, everyone else finally.

    Had a priest run around with 2 rogue in SW the other day,4-5 dps couldnt kill it.
    If that goes live on mop then fuck it not worth playing a stupid game that where cloth users are more powerfull then plate users.
    Feel like fighting a blood DK in the firelands patch ffs.
