Tonight's hotfixes increased the amount of valor points from Random Heroic Dungeons, Challenge Mode Dungeons and Scenarios.

General
  • The Valor Point rewards from random Dungeons, Challenge Mode Dungeons and Scenarios have increased.

Creatures
  • Yaungols on the Deadtalker's Plateau will no longer sometimes cause player pets to attack unprovoked.
  • Crumbling Jade Warriors no longer grant reputation with The Black Prince.
  • Muckscale Rippers, Muckscale Slayers, and Muckscale Shaman are now less prolific.

Quests
  • Players can now properly complete "Old Man Thistle's Treasure".
  • Leven Dawnblade now offers the quest "The Mogu's Message".
  • It is now easier for players to cooperate while completing "Mantid Under Fire".
  • Sra'vess Island is now a more pleasant questing destination. The roads are less crowded, and all players battling elite Mantid will now be awarded credit for the kill.

Dungeons & Raids
  • Disenchanting items awarded from Raid Finder bosses will no longer yield Blood Spirits.
  • Player item level for Raid Finder should now always be calculated correctly.
  • Mogu'shan Vaults
    • Jan-xi and Qin-xi are now immune to the Druid ability Skull Bash.
    • Raids that wipe while defeating Gara'jal the Spiritbinder simultaneously should now be eligible for loot.

Bug Fixes
  • Players previously unable to plant crops in the Valley of the Four Winds are now able to do so.
  • Fulfilling the requirements for Scenaterday on a Saturday will now properly provide achievement credit.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause socketed gems to disappear.

Exactly, and that's what it boils down to. LFR is a source of progression for those with limited time, those who can't put weeks into normal or heroic mode raids. Those who do have the resources to do so can do LFR in addition to normal mode if they want to, and thus end up with better gear in return for the extra effort of beating harder content.

Everyone benefits from better gear. You could be asked the same question about why you're striving for normal raid gear. It makes harder content easier to complete, content that may be in the game now or later down the line.

You haven't still answered why the Ilvl must be better than 5 man heroics when the effort and difficulty is the same.You could keep the purple text on it so people feel better. Or make 5 man heroic loot the same as LFR (from 463 to 476).
You personally feel the level of effort required for 5-man heroics is the same as LFR. That's your opinion, many disagree.

And yes, LFR is a choice whether you want to admit that or not. Obviously, if you want to be able to get through normal mode as efficiently as possible, then you'll want put in the effort to get your LFR gear, but it's by no means essential. (Blue Tracker / Official Forums)

Valor went to *every* run with a bonus for the first of the day, which is a lot like the rested XP bonus while leveling up. (Source)

Any fights in particular? Overall, raiders are still fairly undergeared. A few more weeks of Raid Finder and Valor will fix that.

Not mandatory for raiding. If you want to be the best you can be, you may want more gear, but you're opting into that. (Source)

Is "VP for Rep gear" just a short-term band-aid since Valor Upgrade system wasn't ready for 5.0? Seems 5.1 is very soon.
It was ready, but we thought Valor upgrading made more sense for a time when players weren't so rapidly swapping out gear. (Source)

Will the Challenge leaderboards be reset with the 5.1 patch ?
No resets planned. Leaderboards lose meaning if we wipe all existing times. Integrity in the data is also key. (Source)

Nerf to Scarlet Halls? 1st time I was there we wiped on Armsmaster many times and quit. Next tank/healer saw SH and dropped
Players have a hard time avoiding the whirlwind. Try fighting him below and running up when he does it. Easy to avoid after that.

Since LFR loot is personal, can we choose to get loot for dif specs? Queues for tanks are 2+ hours, healing ones are instant.
DPS shortest queues (maybe because it's harder for them to get up?). Choosing your gear is interesting but not as a queue jump.

Have you ever considered removing the ilvl from pvp gear? Seems like this would solve the issue of padding with it in raids.
It is lower ilevel than equivalent PvE gear. We like that you can use PvP gear as a substitute for PvE gear, but only that.

Why does shall of anger have such a quick respawn timer when Galleon is such a long respawn timer?
Sha of Anger is more like Archavon. Galleon is more like Kazzak.
But its sad to never get him because of work and long respawn timer. He is killed always by the same people.
That was our strategy in having two bosses. One is very fair and accessible. One is not.

Is it possible to win a mount using the bonus roll from elder charms of good fortune?
It depends on the mount.

So I rolled, got an item, bonus rolled, got the same item. Is that intended?
Yes. The bonus roll doesn't look at what you own and it's a completely separate loot roll from the initial one. System isn't "smarter than that," but we like that it's essentially an extra pull of the slot machine.
